"Used this Chinese for years. Unfortunately since it has changed to new management the prices have gone up but the quality has gone right down. Ordered tonight and ended up having to return some of it, the food i did eat was bland. Prawn crackers are terrible now with a weird after taste. Also was over charged but didnt realise until i checked the menu. Real shame as i used to love this Chinese."

"The. Most. Horrendous. Food!! Ordered spring rolls, Prawn toast, chicken satay and beef satay with boiled rice and egg fried rice. Prawn toast was soggy, almost cold and tasteless. The spring rolls were really doughy, tasted awful and resembled a white pudding more that spring roll. Both rice were mushy and disgusting. The satay dished were equally awful and neither meat actually tasted like real meat or what they should normally taste like, had a rubbery quality and was inedible. Neither of us could finish any of these dishes and felt disgusting afterwards. For the price of this meal' I'd expect edible food. Massive disappointment and will never, ever order from here again. Worst take away I've ever had the misfortune to experience. I wouldn't even rate this star but I have to so I can leave a review."

"after 45 minutes still had not received food or drink (coke nothing fancy) whilst all tables around had received food and drink even though we ordered way before them. Had to get up and remind the waiter of our existence. We then got our drinks and 1 item of food .. they then bring us the wrong meal and claim they had a technical issue and had to retake our order after 1 hour. We order our dessert as well so they have time to get this sorted. Whilst waiting for our food still they decide to bring us 1 dessert which we send back. They then tell us our order which I placed over an hour ago is actually out of stock. I say can we just have dessert so we can leave. They come back and say the dessert is out of stock. Terrible experience. The two starters we had where nice. They had to nerve to come over and ask how our meal was whilst we ate chicken wings. Left hungry !"

Haven’t tried the korean bbq but looks very good, otherwise the all you can eat chinese is the best around and worth the price (just remember cash. "Dinner was excellent if a little slow, great value if you have the dinner bread and breakfast option as there are no surcharges for any of the dishes. My only hrip was that Breakfast was advertised open until 11am on sat and Sunday but at 1030 we went for breakfast and many items had run out from the buffet. when we asked if I here would be any more we were told that the kitchen stopped breakfast at 1030. The main reason for the complain is that if the breakfast was cooked to order as in some places and you wen down at 1030 the the food would be the same standard all through the service and in this case it wasn't."

"We arrived exactly at 9.00 am the time our table was booked (as we had been requested to do some weeks ago) and were informed that there were no tables left in the restaurant. We were offered a table in the lounge/bar area or a little side room that had been opened for the overflow. We chose the side room. It was pleasant enough but tea and coffee was not served there as it was in the restaurant. Guests had to make it themselves using the thermos flasks of coffee or hot water. This was disappointing but would not have been a problem if ordinary tea and milk had been provided to go with the hot water. A waitress did try to rectify this as soon as she was told but had difficulty locating the tea so by the time she got back we were halfway through our cooked breakfast. We do not understand how the restaurant can run out of tables if a time slot has to be booked in advance. Surely the policy of pre-booking must apply to ALL guests. In addition to that the guests were not asked to wear masks while serving themselves at the buffet. While it is no longer mandatory to wear a mask it is common sense."

"This place has a lot of choice, even if you just get takeaway, as we did. You can get lots of different meats we just tried the chicken, which was pretty tasty. Sweet and sour tofu was crispy and delicious and the lemon chicken was very lemony! The mushroom stir fry was flavoursome. Would also recommend the bao buns, although the Korean one is spicy. Spring rolls were crispy and very moreish. We also tried the chocolate fudge cake (couldn 't resist) but this wasn 't as good as the mains. Packaging for the takeaway was more cardboard and other recyclable materials than a normal Chinese, which was good. Very filling. Still love this place! The munchbox is highly recommended. "Unfortunately, we did not enjoy the experience at BEJU as it was over rated and the restaurant was trying to reach a 5 star standard it is far from. Myself, my boyfriend and two of our friends were very much looking forward to the food and drinks. It was expensive and I was expecting a better service from the staff. We were sat at the bottom of the restaurant where the DJ stand is. This was the main problem of the meal due to the fact, we felt like it was a nightclub and had to literally shout across the table to have a conversation. Several times we asked the staff if we could move up the room if it would make any difference as it wasn’t worth it. The manager would turn down the music and the DJ would turn it back up. Seen as it wasn’t a cheap meal and we wanted the full experience we ordered the starters and then cancelled the mains. It was a shame as if the atmosphere would of been correct, it would of been brilliant. Don’t get me wrong the music choice and playlist were top tier but I came out with an headache. After the staff apologised to us plenty of times we found it more frustrating as they were not solving the situation. By the end of the meal which were only starters, I asked for a reduction of the receipt. They took off the service charge which is optional anyways. By all means come for cocktails and nibbles but we will certainly not be returning."

"Although the aesthetics look good I can't say the same for the service and food. Told my order at the bar hadn't gone through when it had then they agreed it had otherwise I would have paid them twice The meal we booked had the finest starters. My main was beef stroganoff which had 99 per cent mushrooms in it. I returned the dish then waited what felt like an age and then got served what looked and tasted like bisto gravy with a few strips of what tasted just like liver. I gave up left it and ordered a dessert as I was hungry. Then as it was getting late bar staff started spraying disinfectant next to me in the bartop whilst other staff milled around with mop buckets. Ordered a cookie and vanilla ice cream sandwich. Waitress came out with double chocolate cookie and chocolate ice cream which I didnt order an d don't like them waltzed off . In fact they all did. We were up there totally on our own where you are supposed to pay at your table . After waiting a bit we went downstairs and tried to pay at the other bar where I complained. They gave me 50 per cent off my stroganoff and apologised. Then mix up with my payment again . Eventually got out of there. It ruined our evening which was meant to be a celebration and feel let down by The Hunloke."

"Travelling through the highlands during tourist season, it makes it hard to get an authentic Scottish experience when dining. My wife and I left with smiles on our faces as it was a locals spot. The service was perfect and the food even better. My wife had the bacon cheeseburger and I had the fish and chips. I usually get a little upset after fish and chips from the excess oil, but not here. Perfectly battered and fried. I wish I could go back, but the trip must go on!"

"I will never eat there again they got my food wrong twice and i still at to send it back, then they charged me 6% for table service which it clearly states you only have to pay service charge if the table is for 4 or more as there was only two of us a bit of a joke absolutely Rob dogs would never go there and spend my money again. "The background music for a restaurant was a bit loud, the atmosphere was more like going into a bar. The lighting was too dark, we had to walk very carefully not to trip over. We had a large party so they have arranged a separate room, so that was good privacy. The food was okay, but for the price I was paying, I was expecting something better than that. However, the presentation was wonderful. I ordered a sweet sour pork, the meat so really dry and tough. The braised beef dish was quite a disappointment, the meat was not tender like how it should and the turnip was obviously not fresh and old felt like it’s been stored in the bridge for a long time). The hot sour soup only tasted vinegar, the chicken was off. The salt pepper soft shell crab was fabulous. I was expecting more sophisticated service from this nice restaurant, however one of the waitresses really surprised me with her rushy attitude. The speed for our order was incredibly fast, we ordered quite a few dishes but did not expect them to be served all at the same time. Literally there was not space she could put the dishes on the table. So I had to hold the plates while she tried to jiggle around the ones already on the table. Then she hassled us to all take a piece of soft shell crab from the plate so she could clear that plate! The quality and service did not worth £250 last night."

"We went here based on other reviews. The place is in a curious location, in a housing estate and not the town centre which you might expect. Had some very nice pub food at reasonable prices. Good selection on menu, including vegan. Staff were helpful. Can get quite busy, so booking is advised. Plenty of parking space, which is also nice. Would certainly go back on our next visit to Fort William."

"Avoid this place!! Booked table for my daughters 12th birthday for 6 of us. Got there and was like a store room and freezing cold they had to clear table to make room coz covered in delivery bags we had to ask for heating as sat in our coats they got a portable gas heater that wouldn't worm was honestly a joke the menus had multiple prices and when it came to ordering drink they had nothing even beer pumps didn't work then told it was cash only we ended up walking out ut had no atmosphere workers dropping and banging around in the restaurant sorting stuff as it literally looked like a store room with a few tables. We booked this over a week ago and they wasn't even prepared my poor little girl had her birthday ruined and no apology or anything it was dirty and disgusting and how it's being allowed to operate as a restaurant is beyond me I will be reporting this to health and safety and local council. To not have any heating in this weather then bring in gas heaters which they admitted don't work very well and put it next to our table smelling of gas and to be told if it goes out they reheat it and to have to sit In our coats was awful it was awkward too and then to be told all we can have if coke and a fee select drinks as there pumps for beer etc don't work anymore and the coke was stored jn the corner of restaurant in bottles too it was utter disgusting so please don't waste ur time or money on this place. I just hope something is done when I report it.. thanks for ruining my little girls birthday mandarin palace!!!"

"One of the best Northern style Chinese food in London. Very authentic taste recommend the skewers (beef tendon is great), pork trotters, pig intestines etc... I have dined both in store and via Deliveroo, and the quality and portions are consistently good. Karaoke is also a great experience for group parties. I would say to ignore the 1* reviews from people who order from the 'basic ' menu I think if they ate at a restaurant in China they cannot appreciate the authentic taste. For them I recommend standard UK style takeaways which have modified Chinese dishes to match western tastes. Sanbao kitchen is for those who are looking for truly Northern Chinese food experience. Highly recommend!"
