"Several vegan options, all of which are tasty and good value for money. It's all fairly standard fayre except the Thai burger, definitely better than the only other dine-in place nearby (Moorings Hotel) whose veggie options have dwindled year by year into nothing. There's plenty of seating inside The Lochy, as well as four or so outdoor tables. Staff have always been friendly, and there's a separate pub area next to the dining room which has pool and darts, if you fancy a drink and some games after your meal!"

Stopped in for dinner. I had the the Louisiana burger and my partner had the peri peri stir fry. I LOVED the burger but my partner thought the stir fry was a little average.

The menu features a variety of clearly labeled vegan options. I had my vegan friend try the katsu loaded fries and the vegan burger. The katsu loaded fries were absolutely fantastic!

The pub has 3 different vegan burger choices, a curry, a salad and vegan garlic bread, breakfast and lunch options. The staff are friendly and the service is quick. Updated from previous review on 2021-06-09 View menu

We both had burgers and they were the best ones so far in Scotland! Restaurant also has a few other vegan options. Service was nice and fast and food arrived after around 7 minutes. Really recommend this restaurant if you travel to Fort William and surroundings!

We ordered the vegan cheeseburger and the falafel and spinach burger, both of which were flavorful but slightly dry. The chips/fries were fantastic! As for the menu (in 2023), it no longer specifies the vegan options, but the friendly staff were more than happy to assist us. View menu

from this place you can simply go down the street and visit them for lunch or dinner for any special occasion or simply for a weekend lunch. now I've moved away, it's always the first place I'm visiting to go when I'm visiting william again. the best place to eat in fort william without doubt.

The salad itself consisted of a small handful of mixed greens, a generous amount of onions, and just three cherry tomatoes. It was topped with pieces of the coated fillet and drenched in a dressing that resembled a sticky, viscous chili sauce. In terms of taste, I’d rate it a 3, while the portion size was a 5. However, I question how anyone could consider this tiny salad a main dish. At £11, it felt overpriced for what was served.

"While the food was tasty and steak was cooked to perfection, the horrible service and very long delays in getting served results in a rare 2 star review. Having read gushing positive reviews about this place, my girlfriend and I.. Tourists from out of town decided to stop by. We called and booked a table for 2 at 630pm. We arrived at 620pm and we're promptly seated. The evening is looking great. Then things started to go downhill. It took us 15 mins to get our orders taken..with 2 tables who arrived after us being served first by the pony tailed sole waitresses there. I waved her down and politely informed her we were ready to order, but was told in a somewhat mocking demeanor that she would be right with me. It took her another 10mins to get back to us. The 2 items we wanted to order.. Ribs and and the risotto were not available. No one told us in advance. Big letdown. To add salt to the wound, the one low alcohol beer on the menu also wasn't available. Food took even longer to arrive. We waited 40 mins before both our burger and steak arrived. Though the taste was good and portions were generous, the accompanying sauce was way too little for a steak of that size. Although my cutlery was swapped out to include a serrated knife, my partner wasn't even given a steak knife. She relied on a bread knife to cut her burger. We asked for water and I made it clear we wanted hot water. We were served a water jug with cold water. End of the night, we can't help feeling very frustrated at the quality of service and long food wait times. We weren't the only ones. We noticed other tables too incurred at least 30 min wait times for food. Perhaps we are an Asian couple.. Was this the reason our table was skipped not once but twice in getting orders taken? One can't help but to draw conclusions. Given the chance, we won't be back again. There are many other establishments in the area worth exploring. With hopefully better table service. If you decide to come here, come very early and hopefully you're of the right skin color to receive proper table service that deserves your hard earned money. And be prepared for long wait times for your food. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £20–30 Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2"
