"OH MY WORD!!!!! I think this is probably the best fish restaurant we have EVER been to. We had seen great reviews before our trip to Fort William so booked well in advance thankfully because there would have been no chance of us getting in without a booking and I can see why. I had the Cullen Skink to start and I seriously could have bathed in it!! My husband chose the cod scotch egg which was delicious. However the 1st prize most definitely go to my main course the pan fried Hake with crushed new potatoes, asparagus and crab meat (even typing this is making me hungry! My husband chose fish and chips, we had a bit of banter with the waitress about whether they were gonna beat our Yorkshire fish chips!! They did!! We didn't have dessert as were too stuffed but they looked lovely. Seriously, if you love fish, you HAVE to book a table here enjoy Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

Delicious food. Went there for a lunch during this summer. The place has a nice view to the loch and it is very cosy. The fish was great as well!

Shocker the Crannog restaurant is not on or by the Loch. The meal was good but very pricey ... (expect to pay circa £50 per head for 2 courses) and the service was standard, not great. Food took a long time to come and waited a long time for any orders. I would not recommend it. Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

Of our 10 day stay in the UK (London, York, Edinburgh, Highlands) this was my family's favorite stop. Food was local, authentic and delicious. The service was technically fantastic but in general, the team made us feel welcome and taken care of. What a meal it was beautiful, delicious and delightful! Thank you team!

This is very over rated and the hype is not worth it. They are in a new location sharing anther restaurant. But it was touted as some great seafood and was very sub-par. The atmosphere is hot and stuffy. Service was good and friendly. The menu was good just most of the food was marginal. Was really looking forward to a special night out but this was not it.

Wonderful food! Lobster, seafood. Service was superb, Food exquisite. Ambiance was sitting overlooking the water and being on the dock at the end of a pier. Highly recommend it. Must get reservations to assure a space. We went when it was opening for the day. Have a space near a fireplace if preferred. HiNT: get there early to find parking or take UBER. Enjoy! We went in Oct 2022

"A group of 8 of us went in before we got on the Harry Potter Jacobite steam train dressed in cosplay. They took orders of some of us but refused to acknowledge and take the orders for the last two of us, no idea why. After the first four got served they asked nicely the two older women if we could get our order in and get served because we were all together and going on the train. Still they refused to acknowledge the two of us,(except for nasty stares/stink eye) take our order or serve us. But they did take the order of the next 10 or so people after us while continuing to act like we didn't exist. This was very unprofessional, uncalled for and just plain cruel and mean. In case it was an accident (which I severely doubt it because while dressed in cosplay we really stand out in a crowd) it was very politely called to their attention, and yet they still avoided correcting their mistake/acknowledging us/taking a food order/conducting a business transaction in a place of business and continued carrying out refusal of any interaction except for the nasty stares. I cried a lot and went to the lobby area and the nice lady in the gift shop was a very nice, had muffins and coffee and she took my order and fed me. No problems with anyone else in the town of Fort William serving us in Harry Potter cosplay, or on the Jacobite steam train, or in Malaig. Every business we went to,except for Lochaber Cafe, was more than welcoming and very pleased that we stopped in. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1"
