"Dinner was excellent if a little slow, great value if you have the dinner bread and breakfast option as there are no surcharges for any of the dishes. My only hrip was that Breakfast was advertised open until 11am on sat and Sunday but at 1030 we went for breakfast and many items had run out from the buffet. when we asked if I here would be any more we were told that the kitchen stopped breakfast at 1030. The main reason for the complain is that if the breakfast was cooked to order as in some places and you wen down at 1030 the the food would be the same standard all through the service and in this case it wasn't."

My scallop starter was excellent. As good as I have ever had. Duck breast main was good. My wifes food was also very good.

The staff was incredibly nice and welcoming, and the food was of excellent quality considering the price we paid. I highly recommend this restaurant!

This is a stunning venue with beautiful grounds. The food was delightful and fresh. We enjoyed afternoon tea and highly recommend it. The staff were friendly and attentive, but not overly intrusive. View menu

The experience was really memorable for my partners 60th Birthday. The service was excellent and the staff could not do enough for us . Even though we were late . I would definitely recommend this place and the scones are to die for warm and soft which melt in your mouth

The buffet menu was quite limited once again. Diners could choose between salad or soup as a starter, and for the main course, there were options for beef, fish, or vegetarian pasta. However, there was only one type of potato available, and vegetables were only provided upon request. Additionally, there were no gluten-free dessert options.

Such a disappointment! Looks lovely on Instagram, sadly the staff were quite rude. The risotto is on the menu as (V) but they covered it in Parmesan and then argued with us about whether Parmesan is vegetarian (it’s made from small animal intestines). They moved us table 3 times when we arrived because we explained we didn’t want afternoon tea about 7 times, to then be told our drinks weren’t included in afternoon tea View menu

We had a really lovely time however the room we had afternoon tea in only had 2 other tables and when we walked in to be seated the other 2 tables were very quiet and just stared at us. It was a bit uncomfortable . Once sat down the other 2 tables remained very quiet so the room felt very stilted. We would have preferred our table out in the bar area where you could have conversation easy without feeling other tables just sat listening whole time. Once the other 2 tables had left we relaxed and had a lovely time though

I travelled up from Dorchester over an hour to meet a friend half way between the two of us. Visiting before, I had remembered a lovely restaurant with great food. We were asked what our booking was for and I said lunch but was told they don’t do lunches in the restaurant (despite a party of 10 or so being n there . I had booked online for 1.30 lunch (website says they do lunch in the restaurant daily. in the end we had to have a mediocre sandwich from the bar. They were very understaffed and we felt a bit of an inconvenience. No reply from a message I sent the next day. Very disappointed.

"(Delivery) Considering the high rating on Tripadvisor and the reviews of the place we were ready to give Kali Mirchi a go. After quotes of Best Indian and So much flavour being thrown around, we were anticipating a much needed curry. After placing the order and being told it would be 40 minutes, we waited an hour before we called to be told it had just left and would be with us any minute. It came to £19.20 so I gave the driver £20 and was told he had no change! Biting my lip to the sofa we dug in to our starters. The Onion Bhajis were more gram flour than onion and for such a cheap dish to make was surprising. I could taste the old oil which isn 't always a bad thing if it wasn 't for there being too much flour to soak it up. Oily onion bhajis seen to, mains were a go. I love my naan bread and wasn 't all that impressed with the one I had infront of me, the bright red keema filling had all dropped to one side and it was very thin. The pilau rice was nice though, I think they had added a touch of saffron. The Chicken Tikka Masala was average at best and tasted alot like cheese. Not how I would expect, it was also luke warm but did have good chunks of chicken. The lamb jalfrezi was overly spiced and had more than enough green chillies but abit too much oil. Unfortunalty we didnt feel Kali Mirchi had lived up to its reputation and I am a firm believer that food should be a similar standard when delivered, if this is the standard in restaurant then I would be very disappointed to have made the journey. Summary Nothing special, average experience for a takeaway, good portions of meat, but bad balance of spice and flavour. Check your change and order well in advance!"
