"The Sanbao Chinese Kitchen is quick, flavoursome and cheap – especially at lunchtime. The lunch special is a bargain £6.50, which includes drink (choices include fruit juices and Chinese tea), starter and main course with rice. You pay £7.50 for some of the premium choices. The only problem is, everything pitches up together. While I was delighted to receive my mushroom consommé – good flavour, slightly gloopy – almost immediately after ordering, I was dismayed to be brought my main course barely 20 seconds later. The sweet and sour chicken dish with pineapple was good, with a rich red citrusy sauce and mound of rice, but it was so hard on the heels of the starter that it was difficult to juggle everything. It’s less of problem if you order, say, a spring roll starter, which can be incorporated into the meal. Usually, the mushroom soup is £3.80, the sweet and sour chicken £7.50, the rice £1.50, the tea £1.50… so you get £14.30 worth of food and drink for your £6.50. And it has to be £6.50 as the restaurant is one in a line of eateries fiercely competing for Hammersmith’s lunchtime trade. The lunch choice is excellent, from sea spicy aubergine and pork with rice to mixed seafood with rice. The dishes are all wok-cooked, and you can hear the cooking and kitchen babble. Service is slick and swift – too swift in some cases! But this is superb value, tasty fresh-cooked food and an ideal hot lunch."

Love it here. Portions big, their specialty shandong food from north east china. Great service and can also pay using WeChat and alipay. Definitely worth a visit.

a very surprised discovery authentic and appetit on Chinese food. I especially like the Kumin lambskewers and the fried lauchknödel. some reviewers have mentioned the hygiene problem. I couldn't answer it because I didn't notice any problems.

This is a mediocre place. The food was so and so- my squid was over fried and as for any vegetables, it came with only onions. I had to ask for soya sauce and even a napkin which was not given. The waitress doesn’t understand English so ordering took some time. The toilet hadn’t been flushed or cleaned- nasty surprise. The interior is garish View menu

This was my first visit and I will be coming back. The food is fresh, hot and delicious. It’s Northern Chinese food and the menu is large. Loads of dishes to choose from. Also, a traditional menu is located within The main menu, the northern Chinese menu. We ordered the salt and pepper squid, dumplings, pepper and salt baby ribs, steamed rice, pok Choi with garlic, king prawn and turnip soup and a traditional northern dish too. Everything we had was excellent and reasonably priced. Friendly staff and cosy ambience

Googled 'Chinese restaurant ' without much hope after seeing a show, my niece and I fancied Chinese food but did not hold any hope of finding much around Hammersmith. Went to Sanbao more in hope than expectation but what a meal! Had pigs trotters, and pig 's intestines with king prawns and some dumplings and pak choi and a decent bottle of wine. Really lovely place and lovely food and will be visiting again. Thank you Sanbao for making our evening, a Chinese restaurant not infested by 'Chinglesh ' food and with Chinese customers but we were made welcome.
