"I ordered a breakfast and I asked if they could swap the beans (which I don 't like for mushrooms, and was told it was company policy that you can delete an item for free (how generous of them! but if you want to swap an item they charge it as a side order. When the breakfast arrived it consisted of two tiny rashers of tough bacon with about 5mm of meat on them, 1 sausage, half a small tomato, a little bucket of beans (which I didn 't want anyway and an absolutely tiny portion of mushrooms. Then when the waiter came to do that insincere box-ticking 5 minute check back thing they all do these days where they clumsily interrupt you mid-conversation to ask Is everything ok? without giving a toss how you answer, I told him that I thought the portions were stingy, the breakfast was overpriced, the company policy on swapping items was petty and inflexible and the portion of mushrooms was tiny, his answer to this was that the mushrooms shrink when they are grilled (so just grill more of them then, eh? . Anyway.... £10 for this breakfast was over the top and I presume they only justify it by the pretentious faux artisan ambience of the place as the money clearly hasn 't been spent on the mismatched car boot sale-esque furniture or customer service training courses. They have their policy on swapping items but I have a policy of leaving poor reviews for establishments where they would rather save a few pence than keep a customer happy."

"What an absolutely bad McDonalds I have never experienced such bad customer service. We had ordered a family meal for 4 people and it wasn't a massive order. We were told to wait over there no indication of which bay to park in by manager...who was doing our drinks. The diet coke and normal coke tasted disgusting basically like mixture of drinks all put together it was nasty but we were literally so thirsty from a long drive. We parked up to bay 1 and we were there for over 20 mins my husband got out of car to check when our order was coming. A Chinese woman who woked there who I never caught the name of told us we had to wait and that she was all by herself and that everyone is complaining. She was going over to lots of cars that were parked around us after we had gone to park up to wait for ours and she was giving out wrong orders as I overheard this from other cars she went to. Even the lady in bay 2 got her meal before us and she had waited over 15 mins. fast food? nope slow workers yes and that lady handing out food should be fired so bad. my 5 year old could walk quicker. sort it out mcdonalds shirley"

"Went with my husband for an Anniversary lunch. Been a number of times but in the evening when it’s usually packed. The food has always been lovely apart from 1 thing this time the cheesy garlic bread had zero garlic on it. I mentioned it when they ask ‘is everythings ok with your meal’ and was just met with ‘oh, ok’. No offer to swap it for another one, nothing. So slightly disappointed with that. I would agree that the prices are on the high side, all things considered. One thing I found, going in for lunch, is that they allow dogs inside the restaurant. I don’t agree with this, I think they should be kept outside of where food is being served. Plus the dogs all kicked off and starting yapping whenever someone walked near them or their owner moved or another dog walked in hardly makes for a nice relaxing atmosphere."

"we had lunch here today, for decades since I was in a harvester, and I took my teenagers today for the first time, it was really good! the personal was really friendly helpful, there were unavailable items that immediately informed us everything we wanted was available and was hot and tasty. double dirty burger, chicken waffel and the 1983 rotisserie huh and ripen. the staff that served them the salatable was not sure, but I understand why it was done. all very pleasant, we are back."

"After a Saturday morning conference at Balliol, I’d hoped to get a bite to eat at the Ashmolean café, but – no chance – all the tables were taken. So I returned whence I came, hoping to find somewhere to eat as I headed back towards the Cornmarket. Everywhere seemed busy, so I decided to head off into unknown territory down a small street, which is where I quickly came across the café. The outside smoking area was empty, and I could see that several inside seats were available too, so in I went. It wasn’t clear to me whether it was table service – it was – so I just walked to the counter, scanned the overhead menu, and ordered a tuna cheese panini. Can’t go far wrong with that. There was no freshly squeezed orange juice available, despite it being on the menu, but I was directed to a bottle of chilled orange juice in the fridge. That would have to do ….. The panini arrived fairly promptly, and the service was friendly. And I was able to watch the BBC News channel while I took a few minutes out of what was otherwise a busy day. I’d be happy to pop in again."

"If you want something a little different this is worth a visit. There is an outdoor terrace if the weather allows or an interior that is a bit somber for a lunchtime. The menu is quite innovative with a range of sizes from small plates to larger portions. and prices are competitive. Order at the bar quoting your table number and the food will be brought promptly. There’s a container of chilled water on the bar for self service and on the day of our visit the staff were donating their tips and selling cakes in support of the Macmillan big coffee morning."

"Food was lovely and prompt. But we ordered a bottle of white wine and, only after it came to the table and had been poured, we discovered the wine wasn 't chilled and was actually quite warm. Turns out the fridge hadn 't been working all day but they hadn 't told us. We asked for a replacement cold wine but it was hard work and they tried to charge us more for an actual cold bottle, when it had been their lack of communication that caused the problem. It was very much a 'computer says no ' moment rather than a focus on customer service which was a bit rubbish. Such a shame as the staff and food were generally good."

"I was disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. Despite my love for Fierce beer and desire to support local businesses, I purchased 12 cans and encountered a problem with the first can, 'Late Shift.' Initially, it tasted fine but towards the bottom it was filled with a thick, grainy brown liquid that I unknowingly consumed. This resulted in a very unpleasant experience the following day, causing me to reconsider purchasing more in the future."

"my man and I saw the afternoon tea in savoy on google and when we arrived, we found that we wore casual clothes so that we didn't feel comfortable going in. we found the melba in the small load of the savoyen, which makes us very happy that we can taste some of their deserts. we had the celestial and creambule, both are perfect sweet, refreshing, and it was delicious. we took a star down because the first staff when we first came was not very friendly and treated us as invisible. but the second employees at least try to ask what we are looking for."

"Went here with my partner for a activity superstore gift someone had bought us as a present for dinner. When we arrived after our long journey we had to use the toilet facilities, shock horror to find the disabled only women toilet) was absolutely disgusting. Paper towels everywhere and ladies toiletries. I had to speak to the receptionist and she got onto it straight away. toilet was cleaned) but first impression it was a bit late. Once we was shown to our table we were given a very basic menu choice. I ordered the seabass which to be told they didnt have but gave me a choice of different fish, the food came and my partners chicken was very dry from the off, but the salmon was lovely. Soup was nice for starters and dessert for my partner was lovely. Staff were great and welcoming. Just too basic menu choice and would have preferred the main menu and paid extra if needed and not worth the money, had better."

"We (myself and friends) booked a table for for Saturday at The food and drinks were very good, however the service was very slow. The waitress was very slow to take our drinks orders and bring them over to our table, even though the bar and restaurant was very quiet. The staff behind and around the bar were stood laughing rather than waiting on tables. Our food arrived and was very good, however we did ask the waitress for some wine to have with the meal. The waitress must have forgotten we had asked as she returned minutes later to ask if everything was ok with the meal, at which point we had to remind her we had ordered the wine. The waitress then took another minutes to bring said wine, at which point we had completely finished the meal. They also add a service charge on the bill, which we asked to be removed as the service was not good. This is itself is quite awkward for diners to have to do, as we did not want to be impolite, however we did not feel that we should have to pay this as the service was disappointingly slow."

"Today I visited the restaurant with my daughter. I had the lounge breakfast and my daughter had a burger. Both meals were delicious. My egg was seasoned perfectly, which is uncommon. My daughter has celiac disease and was pleased with the large gluten-free menu. Most places only offer a few gluten-free options, so this was a pleasant surprise. She had a question about the tartar sauce being gluten-free, which was addressed by the head chef. Our drinks arrived promptly after ordering. However, the highlight of our visit was the clean and accessible disabled restroom. It was the first restroom I have been in that had the toilet paper dispenser in the right place. Typically, the dispenser is too far back, making it difficult for people with restricted movement to access it. If I could rate this restaurant, I would give it 20 out of 10."
