"Ooty is a gorgeous modern Indian restaurant in Marylebone named after the idyllic hill station in the state of Tamil Nadu, Udhagamandalam Ooty). They have put their foot firmly forward with a fabulous brunch offering with flavours spanning north and south Indian dishes! The restaurant itself is light, modern yet colourful and beautiful nods to the Indian origins throughout. The 4 course brunch is £30 bottomless prosecco is an additional £15 and bottomless soft drinks only £5. The meal starts with a luscious thick curry leaf and ginger buttermilk. Served in short glasses, they were very indulgent and creamy and were a refreshing introduction to the Indian feast to follow. The first course is a warm up to the brunch. This includes: house granola with palm yogurt berry compote jeera croissant raisin and chilli muffin plain scones with jam and cream tubes It’s actually a lot to start with! The granola had a richly toasted nuttiness and was a real favourite. We also tried the jeera cumin) croissant and had a little of the mini scone. We went for a Dosa served with mustard crushed potato and soya mattar pao spiced soya green peas served with Indian bread rolls). Both dishes were exquisite and beautifully presented and made for a fantastic second course. The dosa arrived thin with colourful bowls of dips to accompany it. We loved the soya mattar pao which tasted like mince with a lovely level of spicing. Comprised of North Indian favourites, the tiffin was next. We enjoyed the unveiling at the table in their fun and colourful tiffins. We chose the paneer and spinach tempered with garlic and chilli and the tofu and broccoli stew. The tiffin dishes are all generously served with sides of potato, edamame and sugar pea stir fry, brown onion and caraway seed pulao and a deliciously flaky malabar parotta for mopping up the curries. We thoroughly enjoyed the tofu stew which was so very light and creamy. The paneer was deliciously meaty in texture and great with the rice on the side. Dessert is a choice between fresh fruit and assorted pastires. We opted for one of each. The pastries chocolate and strawberry mini cakes) were incredibly light. They were beautifully decorated with an “Ooty” chocolate disc and the other a fresh strawberry creation. Ooty have really upped the brunch game with this fabulous weekend offering. The presentation was with flair and attention to detail. The highlights for us were the fantastic dosa and the tiffin course which really hit the spot. The dishes are spiced incredibly well without being overpowering and service was on point. There are special touches throughout the meal that lend this particular brunch perfectly to celebrating a special occasion. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Ooty for brunch. Be prepare to be well fed and enjoy the journey through sensational flavours!"

"My review on my first visit to the duck westbourne. 1. Food is 4* can improve. We had the tempura prawns which were cooked perfectly,5*. I had the BBQ big boy,3*. What let my dish down, the dry chicken and not so soft corn on...cob. The ribs however were the best I've ever had, juicy, tender goodness that even my partner had to steal from my plate. Price range med-high. Wait time for food shortly after our drinks arrived 2. Cocktails is 3*, please please can you adjust your flavour profiles for your cocktails. Some are good and some are just . For instance the mojito, the mint in there is not just for aesthetics. Should be able to taste. Please bare in mind I know everyone has different preferences but a mojito is a standard cocktail. Wait time for drinks from ordering 15-20 mins. Prices arevage. 3. Service is 2*, now here is were it needs the most improvement. Firstly door person greeted us with a smile and we were greeted again by a waitress with a pleasant manner. Our reserved table was taken up by 2 drinkers who were asked politely to move to the bar. Table was not cleaned down prior to us sitting. We waited for a short time before having our order taken, great so far so good. Drinks then food. After receiving our dishes, not once did anyone come over to ask how they were and if everything is ok. Only when we were finished, someone came over to clear the table and asked if we wanted more drinks. Again no concern on the food. The bill, here is were I have been so disappointed with the service. Waited over 20 mins while staff did other things including chatting to each other before I decided to get up and leave, yes only then did the waitress say have you paid? Well no, I've been waiting for over 20 mins. Oh you should of put your hand up to get my attention.... seriously put my hand up! Wow . Like I'm back in school. If you are going to serve high end food at top tier prices, then the service must be the same. I've had better service at other places where the food was terrible. This place is great. Greatish food with music and you can even have a dance if you wanted. Yes it is a bar/ food vendor but if they wish to keep their high end kitchen staff, the service needs improving. Atmosphere was slightly loud with excellent music playing, great choice of food and drink. Would love to come back and not drive to have an all out night in this venue. Overall score on this occasion 3.5* I look forward to my next visit"
