"Can not thank Cote enough for making our visit with granddaughter something special. I asked for a nice table as it was our granddaughter’s birthday. She was addressed by her name when we came in and taken to our table where there was a card and box ofnMaltzers waiting! Slight confusion as we all thought we were at the wrong table! Through the meal the friendly and attentive service did not waiver and she was made to feel this was an occasion, culminating with a complimentary dessert sporting a lighted candle and most of the staff coming to the table to sing Happy Birthday. Of course other diners joined in and this gave a very jolly atmosphere. Our meals were all very good as we would expect; we are Cote lovers! Never had a bad meal or bad experience in any of their restaurants and we have dined at a few around the country. It is our ‘go to’ chain. I wonder if those that say otherwise are ‘discontents’ ? It’s bistro dining not Coq D’or."

Lovely restaurant overlooking the canal. The staff are very pleasant and attentive. Food is generally delicious. I had the French onion soup as a starter and duck. You may need to order extra veg tho so do ask.

I enjoyed the discount on pizzas on Monday. it was a great value for the money, but we asked for two drinks that had run out, and my pizza was significantly smaller than the others. the pizzas themselves were decent, but I don't think they're worth the full price.

The friendliness and attentiveness of the staff made this a memorable evening before heading off to the hippodrome. The food was delicious, with a diverse menu to suit everyone. A big thank you to all the staff who gave my birthday a real sense of occasion, their warmth and generosity was a lovely surprise. I would definitely recommend.

a great restaurant. the service was great, although we wait a while until our order was taken and eating quite a lot of time took, but as it was amazing. it was cooked from the ground or seemed it. decor was great, really nice atmosphere, nice staff, beautiful place. it is a great place to go to a lunch as I did. be better in the night or in the summer when they can sit outside.

Everything runs smoothly here. From the easy online booking to when you are first greeted to the waiters, and the food was excellent Pissaladdiere, calamari, goat cheese, roast seabass with champagne beurre blanc, escalope de veau, confit canard and pork tenderloins to the very tangy and excellent lemon tarte, it was an excellent Sunday lunch for the whole family. I would definitely recommend and go back again. The crepe dessert was very good too. :

What an amazing evening again at cote , this restaurant is second to none . From being greeted at the door , always so welcoming the choice of menu , always monthly changing , the quality of the food always freshly produced with such speed but allowing you to enjoy it at your pace , we were looked after by florin , a most charming waiter who’s professional skills made the evening special , very attentive but we weren’t harassed, nothing was too much trouble , we have been to this restaurant several times and each time the standard is as equally high , not often found in chains , you would think it was family run ! Can’t Recommend highly enough and always value for money !

After a long business day in Birminghan I was looking forward to a good meal with a friend. We chose Cote as it was quite near to where we were at the time. The initial greeting was very friendly but unfortunately the overall impression of our evening was one of slight disappointment. The ensuing service was friendly but slow, with two errors in the order, which were corrected but they should not have happened. The chips were far too salty and I was told that all I had to do was ask for unsalted next time . We had two drinks to start and then only a glass of wine each but the final bill was a bit of a shock given the very average experience. Unfortunately I would not recommend.
