"Omg this place is amazing! Forget the big ice-cream chains, this is the place to go. They have a massive selection of homemade gelato ice-cream, which is the best I've ever tried to be honest and I've been to italy! Two very welcoming and friendly owners here, always smiling and chatty. I've been three times and should venture out on their lovely looking food and drinks menu but just can't stop eating their gelato! Highly recommended! 5stars all round!"

"I recently visited Sander's Yard bistro for the second time and it was a wonderful experience. The restaurant is located in a charming courtyard, the staff were attentive, the atmosphere was great, and the food was delicious. I ordered the vegan platter and was impressed with the fresh ingredients and attention to detail in preparation. There were plenty of vegetarian options available, including approximately five vegan choices. Sander's Yard bistro is now my top choice for dining in Whitby."

"We popped in here for lunch on a Wednesday and there was lots of empty tables. The staff were quite pleasant, though not many behind the bar at that time, but was not busy. My first choice of soft drink could not be found so I opted for ginger ale. Food was really lovely and arrived quickly. I ordered side dishes and they were an ok size and one came with on a lovely, fresh bed of lettuce. The atmosphere was fairly ambient and not noisy at all. Would definately go there again. I liked the lips that were on the walls"

"Heard so many good reviews about Quays gastro bar in portrush so called in on a Friday around 7.00pm. It was quite busy with holiday families however we had a short wait in the beer garden which was very pleasant and had a beer during our wait for restaurant. The restaurant itself was in contrast to the beer garden was very dark in fact the walls were painted black and ambiance not great for a dining experience (we would have been happy sitting in the enclosed section of the beer garden) The meal itself was fair to poor, my rump steak texture was not like it should be I had the feeling it was put through some sort of tenderising process and not great like a good steak freshly cooked should be, garlic fries were just ok. My wife chicken strips coated in breadcrumbs the coating so salty she could not eat them, I am more salt tolerant but they were so salty I could not eat them either. We are not people who complain and the staff were very pleasant and I did leave a tip. So Quays I have to say huge disappointment and will not return."

Had the kale salad as was having a detox day, it was amazing and one of the best salads I’ve ever had, with loads of grilled chicken. "I recently visited the **** and Salat Winchester, and it was an incredible experience. The staff was outstanding, and the food was fantastic. They went above and beyond to accommodate me and my family, and I can't recommend this place enough. Not only was the service quick, but the food was also delicious, and the drink selection was impressive. This is something that many pubs are missing these days. "Would have loved to give a 5 for the value, we had a chilli calamari which was really disappointing. However, there was some good and some great too. I decided to go for the fish cake with poached egg, the texture was crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, much the way I prefer them, the cake was nicely seasoned and the poached eggs nicely cooked and the whole thing very well presented. My partner decided on the Chicken Skewers with grain which she was more than happy with, not my taste. Now, the highlight the Kids Fish Fingers, not your typical kids meal, large fish finger which were mini Cods pieces So, in summary, don’t have the calamari find a child to take, take them to Mc Donald’s first and steal their Fish Fingers."

"I had a wonderful experience today! We went for an early meal with the family after our bowling session. I mentioned to the waitress, who I believe was named Kat, that I'm vegan, and she was incredibly helpful. She provided me with a separate vegan menu and recommended some of the best dishes since she’s vegan as well. The food was delicious, and even my picky 8-year-old enjoyed it. Kat was very friendly and kept us updated on how long our food would take. I will definitely be returning!"

"I made an online reservation for 9 people through OpenTable and received a confirmation email almost instantly. However, when we arrived at the restaurant, they didn't have any record of our reservation. Fortunately, there was still space available for us. "One day we were craving pizza so badly that we wanted to order from Domino's, but it was too expensive for two pizzas (20 pounds). We searched for a local pizzeria and came across Fallone's. The pizza was beautiful and of high quality, better than Domino's in terms of both price and taste. Although they forgot my sauce during delivery, they promptly corrected the mistake. Since then, Fallone's has become the only pizzeria I order from. A very satisfied customer!"

"During my trip to Edinburgh, we made a reservation at this restaurant with a nice view from our window seat, despite the bad weather outside. The atmosphere was relaxed with only a few tables occupied. For starters, we ordered the clam chowder which was full of delicious ingredients, creamy, and served with crunchy sourdough bread. My mother had the mushroom and tarragon soup from the specials menu, which warmed us up on a cold autumn day. Our main course was mussels, which was enjoyable but could have been a larger portion for the price. The fish and chips were crispy and of premium quality, although we felt it could have used some mushy peas or garnish. Some of the chips seemed like scraps from the bottom of the fryer and lacked substance. We also tried the lemon posset from the specials, which was delightful and smelled amazing. The service was friendly and attentive, with my allergies taken into consideration. Overall, we enjoyed our lunch and would love to visit again in the future."

"I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant that is advertised as a cocktail bar, but actually serves real ale accredited by CAMRA's WhatPub. It is currently located under a set of structures around the corner from Oxford Road Station. They offer a great selection of cask ales on hand pumps and other craft beers on draft or in bottles. CAMRA members receive a generous 25% discount, making the prices very affordable. The staff is friendly and there is plenty of space. The cask beer is in excellent condition."

Bless him! we were gone with a three-year-old and late enough as it was, so what a relief. because it would be so busy and we agreed to the pressure I felt for grateful, but expected that some would not be great. I was wrong! michael was a really friendly, organized and efficient front of the house manager and made us very welcome. stephan then came to take our order and was patient, despite very busy, supportive and knowledgeable. I asked for the meal of the child to come as fast as poss and the pizza was in less than 10 minutes, despite a whole house. that was great. our food came and the staff in the kitchen had made a job, it was all nice and well worth it. serviced hot, plentiful and attractive. both stephan and michael took care of us and made a chance to stop a great one. Thank you for keeping us in, we had an explosion."

"As someone who is lactose intolerant, it can be challenging to find suitable options. However, while many might roll their eyes at requests for lactose-free meals, the staff here quickly provided me with a customized menu to accommodate my needs. "I made a reservation two months in advance, but when we arrived on time, they told us they couldn’t find our booking. Instead, they allowed a party of six without a reservation to enter. Even after I showed them my confirmation email, they informed us there was no space available. Just when we were about to leave, they somehow managed to find some emergency chairs and seated us right in the middle of the restaurant, despite many empty booths and tables scattered around that remained unoccupied throughout the entire hour we were there. Overall, it was a terrible experience from start to finish. I won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone."
