"My visit here was a total shambles. Before I asked to only have one waitress serving us, I ordered a drink, one waiter took the order, another delivered it and when I asked to pay the bill, another waiter appeared asking if I would like to pay the bill. When I said I had already asked for the bill, yet another waiter appeared to once again ask if I wanted to pay the bill. Please can someone get the waiters to talk to each other to avoid this constant barrage of people asking for information they already had. During this process our table host kept on coming over to ask if everything was OK, which clearly it wasn't and then didn't really listen to our answer, he just laughed. Then he kept on standing watching the football match directly in my way as if we weren't there The food was ok, ribs were poor, the salt and pepper squid had raw cayenne on the outside which was unpleasant and the chicken wings by all accounts were fine On a visit to the loo, there was no loo paper and no soap in any of the dispensers Overall the feel is that management are out of their depth and someone needs to take charge to ensure things run smoothly sooner rather than later. If you are going for a drink and to watch the sport then it could be a decent venue if they sort the leaderless waitering team out, but there are much better sports bars in London based on my recent experience."

"This is the second time I've been here and both times have been brilliant! Greeted at the door with a friendly smile and shown to our table with a smile on his face. Our waiter came to take our order and was also very friendly and polite throughout the whole lunch. Both times I've been here staff have been incredibly friendly, they are a credit to the restaurant! Our food came promptly and was delicious! The portions are a lot more generous than they look and we all left feeling very full and satisfied. Vouchercloud do a 20% off mains voucher on certain days which was valid on a Sunday so got £8 off the bill. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be returning!"

"Came over the weekend on the off chance we could actually get a table they usually tend to be packed Saturday nights (for good reason! me and my boyfriend tend to be pretty useless at being able to book a table if I’m perfectly honest but that conversation can wait for another day. Food is always good here. We stick to what we know and get fajitas pretty much every time. We’ve been served by quite a few different people over our visits but I can also say that each time the service was really good."

"What we can say we where shocked from what staff knows about menu and communication of supervisor/ manager the mixed raced guy. We believe his name is Prayus. We ordered nachos for a starter and enchiladas for our main. When nachos arrived we asked for...a cheese sauce on a side and cutlery and been told that they run out of sauce.I then asked a waitress how will they make our enchiladas as it has jalapeño cheese sauce and she asked- oh is there ? Then turned around and went like we assumed to ask a chef something but never came back. No one asked us do we still want an enchiladas or we want something else because there was no cheese sauce. So I called the manager over ,no apologies followed nothing ,he only asked do we want something else so we ordered paella double up. After we got our food we had no side plates no cutlery again to eat with, but the waitress sorted it out after we asked for it. But it came dirty !!!!! One of the forks was Sticky like no one washed it, dirty paella spoon and another wonky fork We asked to get a fresh cutlery set but no success. So I had to call manager over again. He didn’t seemed bothered at all about our complain. Again no apologies.He ASKED us do we want a CLEAR fork. Obviously we did . And when he bring it, he wasn’t bothered to take the dirty one (not used by us)away .managers communication was awful. We definitely won’t recommend this place to anyone and also we won’t come back. Very very disappointed. Only good thing was that paella was tasty."

"Burger was very expensive considering it was overworked, probably used a burger press to make it since the meat was dense and rubbery. The onion rings on the burger didn't have the film removed so were chewy instead of having a nice bite and there was only one sad and floppy piece of bacon on it. Chilli cheese fries were decent however the fries were too thin and not crisp enough to hold up to the chilli so were soggy and floppy as soon as they reached the table. Usually I wouldn't rate this badly but the price is unacceptable for what seems to be very inexperienced chefs producing sub-par meals. Had the burgers been £8-9 each or included fries it would be a different story but burgers and fries costing me an arm and a leg then being below average is not ok. The waitress however was lovely, she was very good at answering questions about the food and was well mannered. She also served us promptly and made sure to only check in with us on the quality of the meal when we weren't in the middle of eating. Overall well the service was excellent the food was an extreme let down. Especially for such a well reviewed place. I wouldn't suggest anyone go here and instead would suggest to go to a similarly priced place such as bucks bar or thundercat which serve better American styled food at around the same price point."

"I went on Friday night for the first time in almost two years with my usual co-administrators to the king's." I was quite overwhelmed to find the atmosphere intact, everyone relaxed, no mandat nonsense, just do what a pub is to get a table. Relax down and with a drink. to go to a bar and not speak through a plastic screen. the personal was so inviting even after so much time! I really felt humble, these people here really invest in their customers. munchables were the usual what they see is what they get and very satiating standard, delivered fast and hot. I am so glad to be back and hope to visit the king again as regularly as we have done before."

"Service was amazing, food was lovely. The serving staff really were so good and nice. An also quick very helpful. The only thing I was a bit upset about, was the fact that when u tip them via card payment they get 10 percent taken away and goes to the company. But if you tip them in cash they keep all of that. So next time I will definitely make sure I tip in cash. These servers are young just trying to make their way and i feel they should get all tips no matter what. Other than amazing people amazing food"

"We reserved a table for a festive meal and were pleased to find that our table was beautifully decorated with a tablecloth, crackers, and Santa hats upon arrival. The festive menu offered great value, and the food was excellent. We all enjoyed the turkey dinner, which featured a generous slice of meat along with all the traditional trimmings. Everything was delightful. The staff were attentive and friendly, making our experience even better. We will definitely return!"

"great tapas and soft drinks. recommend the mango ingwer bier that has a small kick and is presented so well. very much they enjoy the diverse colorful and easy to see menu they offer here and especially love the sea cat 241 Sun-Thursday offer they do what makes when super affordable with my bestie for freky fajitas swing and we share a chike and pulled swarm and a sizzling steak between us to mix it. I could not press in a desert, but they do my favorite mint choc chip ice here, so will try to test it next time. if they ask, they may have additional flour tortillas to ensure that they show up and eat all their fajita meat and paprika. the service can be a little slow so they leave time to enjoy their meal when they are planning to watch a movie after that."

"I'm a bit obsessed with the hot wings there. beautiful place to visit during the week, put points in plus as I can work from laptop while I have a coffee. nice for an evening dinner on the earth with family, good children menu. livelier at the weekend, but they have a dj on and 2-4-1 on cocktails that is a plus. beer garden is beautiful when it is warm, but there are protected areas when it rains. not my thing, but the other half appreciates the big screens to watch the football. the employees work hard and are always helpful, never had a problem."

"On our last evening in Glasgow, we stumbled upon this pub, after a visit to the Necropolis. The place was full of locals, so we knew we made the right decision. "I went there on a Sunday afternoon for a roast dinner. Initially, the restaurant was quiet, but it quickly filled up with guests. The service started off fast, but unfortunately, the food was disappointing and only lukewarm. We discovered that three of the drinks we ordered were out of stock, and the salt and pepper shakers on our table were both empty. It also appeared that other diners were receiving much larger portions than we did. Additionally, there was an error on our bill, although the manager rectified it. Overall, it was a memorable experience, but not for the right reasons."

"I am a regular customer at this restaurant and have always enjoyed their beers. However, on my last visit, I was disappointed by the poor quality of both the food and service, despite the fact that it wasn't very busy. "My friend and I often visit the Old Halfway House as it’s local to us both. Until relatively recently, we have been for the lunchtime menu, and it’s been fairly good. The pub has a nice atmosphere, and it’s clean and tidy. However, the menu has now changed; the lunchtime menu has increased from £6 to £8. Soft drinks have also increased, and a glass of coke is now £4.25, which is simply too much. This last visit, I ordered scampi chips and peas. I could hardly believe my eyes when the server brought my meal. There were 9 small pieces of scampi, a few chips and what I estimated to be 1 spoon of peas. I was really upset about this. The tartar sauce was also underwhelming a tiny bit in the bottom of the dish. The plate actually looked like a child’s meal. Ok, so we all know prices are increasing across all sectors, but whilst pubs need to make a profit, customers also need value for money, and this falls woefully short of what one would expect. Would a few extra peas and chips, and maybe a couple more pieces of scampi really cost that much more for better customer satisfaction? I’ll answer that myself no. When the lady came to collect our plates, we were asked if everything was ok. I mentioned the measly portion size, and she said she’d mention it to the kitchen. We remained in the pub a good 20 minutes, but she never returned, so I don’t know what the kitchen had said. We were going to order dessert, but after seeing that portion size, decided we wouldn’t bother. As mentioned before, we eat out locally once a week, so we have plenty of places with which to compare this to, and it falls way short of the competition. It is sad, but we will be finding somewhere with better value for money in future."

"I'm afraid to say I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone , was left completely fuming with the service , the food and the overall approach by the staff at cafe football!! The so called manager Gabrielle or whatever her name is was rude from start to finish we booked our table for the Fa cup final but was told he had under two hours to eat and leave and couldn't extend our stay , the waiters were clueless and didn't understand why we wanted drinks after being seated for half hour im pretty sure it's human rights to be able to order a drink in a so called restaurant , the starters were below par and questionable , the Mains we ordered weren't what we asked for and when asking the so called manager why she couldn't be bothered to answer our questions , so I'm afraid to say after visiting cafe football before I wouldn't come back even if you paid me disgusting and I will be getting in touch with trading standards as we found dirty cuttery and glasses on our table and not even a sorry from staff very little care from all at cafe football!!! "Walking passed this evening, there where 9 of us walking passed to get out Taxi . There was a homeless person sitting trying to keep warm in this dreadful weather. The door opened from this pub, and a man threw water all over the homeless man, he was soaking. How mean and dreadful, terrible. We shall be reporting this to the police in the morning. Hope CCTV caught this It has sickened me to the stomach. Dreadful act from a member of staff how cruel and sad . Hope you fall on hard times Karma. Why not help the poor man have a heart."
