"early on Saturday morning. the outdoor menu disappeared and aimed at the choice Avocado/Egg. then wandered in and looked perfectly fresh on spatialities made croissants, and knew that I have a croissant with a side of speck. superb with a kapuziner. I ate very comfortable outside. there is a lot of space inside and since this is very popular, they need the space. a few very happy small groups of diners collected in and seemed to have a great time. if I had lived in the opposite, I would certainly be a strain."

"This was our third visit this year, and honestly, the restaurant is just mediocre. Leatherhead doesn’t have many good dining options, so we keep returning to this Italian place. This time, I started with an avocado, tomato, and mozzarella salad, but it had no flavor at all. For my main course, I ordered spaghetti vongole, but it was gritty, so I couldn't eat it. The owner did offer an alternative, but I just didn’t feel like eating anymore. My partner ordered a pizza, but unfortunately, the crust wasn’t crispy. We ended up paying and leaving without much satisfaction. I don’t think we’ll return again in the future."

"Food is ok, trying hard to be fine -dining. Same as service. Hit and miss. Too many corporates customer around so they don 't seem to care about losing customers. We were charged 20 set menu for a table of 14 because we booked for 20. Fair really isn 't it?? Only that the 6 additional portions of food never got given to the customers that paid?! Shame as setting was nice. I will never come back."

"We had a pre theatre meal here as we were going to County Hall to see a play so didn't have a lot of time and only ate a main course each. Two of us had duck, one had chicken and one had lamb shank. We all agreed that the food was just OK very average to be honest. The portion sizes were adequate but sides like potatoes and veggies weren't included with our duck meals and prices were high to us anyway, so the food was expensive. Drinks were also a bit high and when you added 12.5% service charge on top, the meal really did cost far too much. Service was very good, though we had to chase the waiter at the end to pay for our bill as we had to get to the play! The venue was very nice. Would we go again? No."

"Very disappointing. We’ve been to the Sanderson many times in the past, but won’t be going again. Staff seem poorly trained and little knowledge with poor attitude. Refused to make a classic champagne cocktail (a very common cocktail) because it wasn’t on their (very short) cocktail list. The girl behind the bar had evidently never even heard of it (how can a mixologist never have heard of such a basic classic cocktail) and said that she couldn’t make it as it wasn’t on the list and she couldn’t have put it through the till !! Didn’t even make any attempt at an apology either, instead made us feel like we were being stupid for ordering something not on their list! Been to many cocktail bars in London and never had service this bad. AVOID …"

"The restaurant was quite full at 7:30pm with large parties and noisy children. In fairness it was Valentine's Day. Whilst it is always nice to see families with children dining together the somewhat intimate ambience the brasserie seems to target does not seem best suited to young diners. Possibly the problem is that hotel does not offer a more suitable restaurant option for those with youngsters. The bar area serves food but is rather large and not exactly cosy. The food was OK. The onion soup was extremely tasty but the cheese in it was surprisingly over generous making it a struggle to eat. The wine list is as you would expect in a London hotel, was quite expensive but with some excellent options. I made the mistake of asking for a brief pause between starters and main which as it always inevitably does, turned into an unacceptably long delay."

"Visited here with friends on a girls weekend away. Stumbled across this place and liked the menu so we stayed. After ordering drinks and food, drinks came fairly quickly but waited nearly an hour for our food. Food came out separately, so 2 of us nearly finished by the time the others came out with no apology. Food was lovely but not enough cheese on the raclette fries. Would have appreciated being told when we arrived that food takes a long time, we had 2 hours on the parking and got back just in time. It wasn’t busy, only 1 other table eating. Overall food excellent but service needs attention. This could be an excellent restaurant offering something a bit unique but the service let’s it down."

"I had a fantastic experience at Norton House hotel after my reservation at Dalmahoy hotel was cancelled last minute. Claire, who dealt with upset customers from Dalmahoy, went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful stay. The staff was friendly and attentive, making our stay stress-free. The spa facilities were clean, modern, and stocked with Elemis skincare products. The breakfast service was excellent with a wide variety of fresh food options. Overall, Norton House hotel exceeded my expectations with their exceptional customer service, facilities, and kindness. This will definitely be my go-to place when I visit Edinburgh in the future."

"We dined at this pub on a Saturday afternoon in February 2020 after visiting the Excel Centre, and we had a wonderful experience. The staff and service were exceptional. Despite its exterior, this pub truly deserves more recognition. The food was served hot and was absolutely delicious. The staff went above and beyond to be helpful, welcoming, and friendly. I genuinely believe this pub has not received the credit it deserves. A huge thank you to Abass and Sophia—they are both a great asset to this pub, and we would definitely return. The cleanliness of the pub was outstanding, and the restrooms also deserve five stars for their cleanliness. Plus, the pub had a lovely fire which added to the cozy atmosphere. Sincerely, Woman L. Brown (group of 5 adults)."

"We visited a nearby hotel restaurant on a Saturday afternoon and received a very warm welcome from the knowledgeable staff and owner. We sampled a variety of beer and gin cocktails, all of which were delicious. My husband even enjoyed a beer cocktail! We will definitely return and plan to bring our friends along soon. It's a fantastic place, but unfortunately we don't live closer. However, we would definitely become regular customers if we did. The only downside was that it was a bit chilly inside, but it didn't detract from our overall experience."

"after lunch a few weeks ago and was impressed we tried the dinner menu. the evening menu, although not a large selection suitable for all in the group. the meals were excellent, in a relaxed atmosphere held by courtesy and non-slip employees. from the start to whisper everything was well presented and freshly made. if they are looking for a pleasant culinary experience of high street chains that is not overpriced, this is a good choice."

"The atmosphere was decent, with a typical French blend of elegant permanent decorations and tacky tablecloths and accessories. We tried the flat iron steak, requesting it rare, but it was cooked all the way through with no hint of pink. The olives and bread seemed like they could have come straight from the grocery store. Overall, the food was a bit underwhelming. The prices were reasonable, and we were able to get a table last minute on a Saturday night, likely due to the large amount of seating available."

"We were comfortably protected from the elements in the outdoor terrace. Food was great, all courses were presented well and tasted good. Service was ok, after asking the waitress to move away another table's wine bucket that was placed behind me and between a plant, so they had to physically brush past to get to it to serve , so much for social distancing. Also taking away the wine glasses when there was still half the wine to be served. Might be a good idea to have the wine for the relevant table near it so this wouldn't happen."

"The restaurant is beautiful, the food is delicious, and the service is excellent. It would be wonderful if the lighting were a bit softer, perhaps with candles on each table for a cozier atmosphere."
"I went to the restaurant with my colleagues for some drinks and bar snacks, and we all had a great time. I ordered two glasses of the "Healthy Soul" non-alcoholic cocktail and really enjoyed it."

"Just happened across this place while driving through and having a quick walk around the village and was surprised to see vegan options on the menu. Walked in and were greeted by happy and immediately helpful staff who told us where to park and double checked vegan availability with the chef. Service was amazing throughout, food was very nice (including perfect onion rings and tasty apple and celeriac soup), and we even had 3 yummy desert choices that made it difficult to decide (an unusual and delightful experience to have). Staff were flexible and even offered to make one-off vegan items from available ingredients. All in all, a wonderful surprise so are now planning to come back someday."

"Eight of us went on 9th October evening to celebrate a birthday. Unfortunately the waitress was full of cold, sneezing and spluttering over the food and the people and she had lost her voice (not her fault I know, but it was not pleasant when her nose was running when she was taking our order. She had to shout to be heard and all you could hear was her failing voice all evening. Secondly, they had run out of food, some of the starters, mains and puddings had sold out. Surely you know the amount of covers you have to cater for and this should not have happened on the second day of opening. The cost of the food was high for the size portions. Lastly, three of our party of eight had food poisoning. Two had the duck and one had the scallops, which was different from the rest of us. Usually I wouldn't write a bad review, but this was such a disappointing experience. The only nice thing was the chairs, very pretty."

"This restaurant is a jack of all trades but master of none. I ordered the penne con pollo and found it to be completely lacking in flavor and character. My friend even commented that the sauce tasted like a strange mix of ketchup and milk. It's clear that the chef has lost their passion for cooking and abandoned the principles of good Italian cuisine. I left feeling cheated and would recommend avoiding this place at all costs."
