"There are many good Japanese restaurants in London (Chisou, Sakagura, Roka, Murakami, Sosharu, etc) I don't consider Kiri one of them. Kiri's menu items are priced similar to other restaurants but the standard is much lower. The quality of sushi at Kiri was poorer (sinewy and chewy), service was poor even though the restaurant wasn't busy on our visit. Our fairly light, quick meal for two (with a cocktail each and a glass of sochu each) came to £140.00. This seemed very over priced for the food and poor dining experience we had. I wouldn't recommend Kiri and I won't be returning."

"for the first time after 2 years to my favorite London Japanese restaurant. it could be better than before the kovid. restaurant feels very well, tables are not compressed, service and personal excellent and professional and there was the usual clean feeling. I was recognized by my phone number as a regular one that is always beautiful. menu was similar, but different. my gast asked me to order so that I could simply list with ca. 7 8 different dressed and some extra sushi. sad as I drove, I couldn't enjoy for free, but I'll give it back on my next visit. the food came on continuously and that started hard. I would have liked to see that some of the dishes a little distance, as it was like the generation game promotion band, one after the other. but the quality, taste, fresh of the presented articles wow wow. chisou was excellent porenpandemie, but for me her current menu is just brilliant exquisite and tasty. I was a little concerned when I booked the table-time limit for lunch, but I don't have to worry, despite the fast flow of eating, we were under pressure at any time to clean our table. overall, a great restaurant, in the wide corner of the woodstock street strapped away, expensive but really get a fall from them what they paid. can wait to return. thanks to the entire team."

"The food was average and the service was extremely slow. It was a bit expensive for what we got. However, the restaurant had a lovely atmosphere and decor, and it was conveniently located in Spitalfields."

"Everything was just not up to standard.. They were sold out in there to special breads when we came. We waited for too long both with drinks and mains. for drinks (we got our starters before they came, and there were two bartenders in the bar not doing anything else than talking to each other) and about for mains. We got some pita bread in compensation. And we didnât like out of three dips to it. Our waitress were so arrogant and didnât even explained the concept or asked about if we liked the food. Besides that there were so many different waitresses there came to our table and they didnât talked together because they asked us the same questions. All in all not value for money a bad experience and we wouldnât come back."

"The Welcome and service was fantastic. From the Manager to the waiters all excellent. The ambience is nothing great. Tables are too close to each other that you can hear all the conversations on the table next door. Asked for a Large bottle of water and was told they had run out!! You can imagine how shocked I was to hear a resturant out of water. The food arrived and asked for chilli Sauce. And Yes, you guessed it right. “Sorry sir we do not have any chilli sauce but you can use the powder!!” I just didn’t have any words. This is meant to be a high end Japanese resturant and you don’t even keep large Water bottles and chilli sauce? At the prices they charge you are better of going to Nobu."

"Another week, another interesting new opening in Camberwell. I seem to have been spending a lot of my time around these parts lately, although admittedly most of that is down to the marvellous Silk Road and my insatiable desire for their home-style cabbage. If you've not made the effort to visit this unassuming little Xinjiangese and haven't yet sampled a healthy handful of cumin-spiced lamb kebabs or a big steaming bowl of belt chicken noodles or yes, that silky, stocky hand-torn cabbage, then you have a real treat in store. It's the kind of restaurant every spice-loving Londoner wants as their local, and I love it. But this post isn't about Silk Road, and the Crooked Well isn't an...read more"

"The food was absolutely delicious, the place itself was aesthetically pleasing and just a delight to be in! They were able to accommodate a buggy and we were seated on a table with plenty of space. We had a 2 hour limit, but we weren't rushed and the service was overall excellent! Really enjoyed our meal, and would definitely come back!"

"We are not adventurous eaters and our waitress was very pleasant and patient with us explaining what was in the dishes, how they were cooked etc. We sat in a booth, nice and private so we could have a conversation. An appetizer was brought out for us to nibble on, flatbread, dip and carrot and celery sticks, while waiting for our food which came in a timely manner. We both chose avocado and prawns as a starter, followed by two different lamb dishes, both came piping hot and nicely presented. The portions are large! It was my wife's birthday and the staff placed a lit candle in her piece of cheesecake and sang Happy Birthday, what a lovely touch."

"This used to be a wonderful family restaurant with excellent food and a cosy ambience, so we were disappointed when some years ago it downsized to a smaller separate adjoining building and sublet the original restaurant area to other businesses. However, in the smaller Genzo restaurant, the good food and warm family atmosphere remained. We booked Genzo online recently, only to find on arrival that the family restaurant was closed down. There was a notice in the window asking customers to go next door to the glitzy, unattractive sublet business, which has an uninviting atmosphere and decor, is usually empty, has different staff and no doubt a different chef. This is not the friendly, warm place with terrific food which it used to be when run by the family. When we did try the sublet business several years ago not knowing it was no longer the same Genzo Greek the service was terrible and the food below standard. This is the second sublet business to take over, but they apparently don't understand why Genzo was so successful and have changed everything that its customers valued, turning it into just one more modern characterless place to eat rather ordinary food. This is a great shame."

"This restaurant is a hidden gem. The service was excellent as we were attended to by the same gentleman throughout our meal. He was softly spoken and not intrusive, yet very attentive to our needs. He promptly refilled our drinks and offered us additional cutlery without us having to ask. The food exceeded our initial expectations, especially considering the reasonable prices of £8-15 for a main course."

"I'm at a loss for words. It could be amazing. I had made a reservation, but then they called to tell me they were closed. I appreciate the heads up, but it would be preferable if they didn't advertise as open when they're not."

"first little isanbul the owners changed a few months back and is now called nar meze grill. the restaurant has a lift and the food and service are now excellent. this means that all previous reviews for little istanbul no longer apply, including some of the more negative comments. I had a late Sunday lunch with a friend, we enjoyed a very pleasant bottle of cooled pinot rose before they start to beginner and mains towering in. because we did not eat meat, we ordered dishes from the good vegetarian selection, but there is also a large selection of fish and meat. too full for a pudding."

"I've been to this place so many times and it's been always amazing. We start with Special Sashimi, every single piece was perfect, really tasty. The best two ones were fatty tuna and scallops. After that Vegetable Gyoza and spicy scallop roll, then udon noodles. At the end green tea ice cream. During the dinner a bottle of Italian wine, Soave. It was very fresh and good. Service is the only thing that it could be better. Anyway this is the best Japanese I have ever tried. It's so close to the real Japanese. This restaurant is definitely recommended!"

"lso unique with options that I haven't seen at other Japanese restaurants. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the dishes, which enhanced my dining experience. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it the perfect place for a date night or a meal with friends. I highly recommend trying the sushi platter, it was fresh and delicious. Overall, a fantastic dining experience and I will definitely be returning."

"The staff at this restaurant was delightful and the food was enjoyable. The wine was exceptional, but the desserts were just okay. The main letdown was the £16 seabass fillet, which was quite small and served on a large plate with only a few olives and sun-dried tomatoes."
