"My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal at the Good Egg. The mezze dishes we ordered were full of flavour, in particular the pumpkin hummus and whipped feta with dill were outstanding. The pita was fluffy and lightly topped with za’atar and olive oil, whilst the pickle plate may not be to everyone’s liking but I couldn’t help but devour the dish! A must order from the small plates section was green falafel and zhoug which was served on a bed of creamy smooth tahini. I was not disappointed with my pomegranate margherita (an off the menu cocktail order), it was vibrant, refreshing and sweet. Whilst I would return for the amazing dishes, the service was appalling at Good Egg and a real let down. We frequently had to grab the attention of our waitress to order, they were inattentive and stand offish when we spoke to them. Sadly this makes coming back to the Good Egg unlikely as the overall service was far from hospitable."

eating is excellent, but the service is very, very bad, the staff is not cooperative, and the order is delayed by about an hour

Excellent food, had the zaatr chicken and the green whipped feta. Highly recommended! Lovely location in the outside courtyard of kingly court..

Food was tasty, but nothing special. Good Egg used to be great but the city has moved beyond it to some extent. The service here was very poor, hard to get an allergen menu and had to work to flag down waiters at every stage to get any service. Would not recommend these days.

This place is PERFECT for brunch!!! I took myself on a solo date and it was lovely. So nice to sit outside too in the court. Most of the staff were lovely except for one who didn’t do it for me at all, and was very awkward. My babka french toast was beautiful but VERYY rich. Would come back for the sandwiches for sure! @diningnotdashing

Saturday evening booking for 8:15pm and the host offered to store our bags for us which was great but this is where the service peaked. By 8:50pm no servers had come near us and we had source our own water for the table. Once we asked could we order from a servers who had just sorted a table who were seated after us, we didn’t have another person come to the table until we were told it was last orders so would we like another drink. Food was tasty and this hasn’t been my experience on other visits but we struggled to even get someone’s attention for the bill. Disappointing visit.

I wanted to like the food, but maybe I picked the wrong dishes? Wanted the lamb hash but was still being prepped. Shakshuka unfortunately was bland, lack of seasoning and spices. Babka was quite dry and the honeycomb stuck in teeth on every chew, not pleasant Merguez sausage had multiple bit of bone/gristle, my partner hurt her tooth eating it. Told server about all the issues got us a replacement merguez portion. No sign of manager to talk to. The tahini shake was tasty! Might try again and try different dishes next time but won’t rush back. Service was fast and friendly from the waiters.

hi, I've been in both two with my wife many times. this time I took a friend. I booked for 8.15 clock. Before we sit down on the menu or watch the menu, we were told that we need to order as the kitchen was closed. once sitting, another waiter told us we had to order everything we wanted to consume, as the kitchen was closed immediately. Once the nice eating was brought to the said, we were given the bill and said to pay as the time was closed! soon after 9.30 clock (before 9.45 clock cannot remember exactly, we were told that restaurant closed and time to go! I would recommend eating, but they warn about the service.
