"My wife and I stayed at this hotel for one night. Our first impressions were not great - we arrived at 2 o'clock and inquired about checking into our room. We were told check-in wasn't until 3 o'clock, but the receptionist offered to let us pay a fee to receive the key early. We explained we had a wedding to prepare for that evening. Despite this, the receptionist insisted we come back closer to check-in time. At 2:55, I returned to the reception where there were two couples ahead of me. The receptionist took our names and called housekeeping to see if our rooms were ready - unfortunately, they were not. With only 5 minutes until check-in time, I expected the rooms to be prepared, especially considering the early check-out time of 11 o'clock. Despite the wait, the receptionist assured us the rooms would be ready in 5 minutes. Exactly at 3 o'clock, like clockwork, we were finally allowed to check in. The room was mostly clean, although the toilet was not up to standard. I would have expected a higher level of cleanliness given the amount of time they had to prepare. On a positive note, the rooms were beautiful and the bed was very comfortable. Another receptionist during our visit was much more polite. I have stayed in many hotels for both business and leisure purposes, and have never encountered such a strict check-in policy."

"amazing Chinese cuisine. large selection of dressed that are cooked so well and very tasty. the staff could not be more friendly, they make them so welcome. I have allergy to tomato and always find difficult to eat, as there is hardly any choice for me. for this restaurant it is not a problem that I can eat almost everything on the menu. every time we go through, we'll stop for a hard one. please try it is absolutely excellent. the tsingtao is brilliant, so is the wein."

"Not been here for a very long time but always wanted to come back and again, it didn't disappoint! Food served quickly, good tasting, big portions. The jasmine tea complimented the food. Its a big pot good for 2 or 3 people for £3, so just order 1 if it's just the two of you. We went for the sharing starter and for mains egg fried rice, garlic chicken and beef brisket curry (could only finish half so this was a takeaway dinner for me). Fabulous food. Would love to be back again. My only critic is the table cover. It used to be better looking, this time it's just a square piece of paper. It just doesn't look as nice. They had proper table cover before with the paper cover on top."

"Went for takeout and the food was actually really good. The prices have improved as well because it used to be a fortune for a meal. Must have new owners or something because it’s a million times better than what it used to be. Only downside is that it didn’t have a cash machine and the one in the village wasn’t working which made it really awkward one stop also charges to get money out so I feel like the Chinese should have paid for that seeing as I had to go in there to get the money out. This is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. Also they don’t give you free prawn crackers and every other Chinese I’ve been to gives you a free bag. However overall they guys at the counter were really nice and the food was awesome."

"Just had lunch for our daughters 17th as wanted to try somewhere different we were not disappointed. The dishes we had were all fresh, home made absolutely delicious. I had the chicken in wine (very tender chicken with herb potatoes fresh veg). My partner had the pork with the same sides our daughter had spinach ricotta tortaloni. For dessert home made, mouth watering tiramisu creme brulee. The service was excellent we would definitely recommend it."

"Shambles do not order im actually considering walking back up now the arrogant guy on the phone over charged me for the second time I am a loyal customer there like a couple times a week sometimes but never will i be back the customer service when the guy is on is shocking he cant add and over charged me then refused to give me the prices over the phone but said he would send me a menu same as the last time when he over charged me so again no menu so i called back i ask for the prices on the phone he eventually agrees trying to make up a few of the prices for himself which are lies as im looking at one of the new priced menu's anyway his made up prices still with delivery on top did not add up to the price he charged me and instead of solving it and apologising he starts giving me abuse and attitude honestly avoid the food is no worth his attitude and being scammed"

"have made some brilliant experiences here since the new beautiful owners have taken over. we took our 3 young children to ruck huh in the Caribbean night all were super friendly and helpful, all the covid regs were reasonable at location and place, but in a very welcoming and organized wise. the food was really served fast (excellent when with young children) and we all had empty teller in no time! was also there for a few beers with friends and had the extremely ingeniously loaded fret. so much care and love is taken over what they do and how customers they can feel these warm as soon as they are there. so, so good to this pub as our local (even if it is not the next for us it is worth the walk!)"

"After reading the reviews we decided to have a Saturday night takeaway. We rang to order at 5pm but the phone line was constantly engaged so we popped down to order. 20 min wait so we ordered and had a quick drink in nearby pub and said we’d collect our food at 6pm When we got back the food wasn’t hot. We had to reheat which isn’t ideal. So it must have been stood a while before we collected it. Having said that, the food was very tasty and we enjoyed it. I would say the portion sizes are quite small so we would probably order an extra dish next time family of 4 The chilli shredded beef was my favourite and hubby said BBQ spare ribs were lovely. We will definitely order again."

"Wait 1 hr and 20 minutes for our order. Food came cold and hard, chips are dry coĺd and hard and over cooked and rice is cold and hard chicken balls are over cooked and hard! We are regulars who order take out often and come on to eat and bring friends we have always spoken highly about Furama, its usually great but its disgusting tonight and has really put us off our meal and was a waste of money even my 6 year old son didn't like the chips or chicken ball they were so hard and dry i can not explain. How you can let this leave the restaurant it beyond me. Poor standards tonight !! Unhappy customers"

"It was a chilly day we were looking forward to some hot sour soup... boy, were we ever disappointed! Hot sour soup should have very few ingredients... tofu, mushrooms, onion, a few other things... it should b very thin, spicy should NEVER... EVER contain shrimp, duck, chicken or other meats! It was thick, grainy, reddish-orange actually had a few types of meat... it actually made me sick we won’t b back... I gave the place 2 stars because the fried rice vegetables were good"

"This is a takeaway. What's slightly annoying is they do only accept cash. However, there is a cash machine at the shop next door. The lady at the desk who served us what really helpful. She highlighted items on the non vegan menu that were also vegan friendly. I ordered the mock chicken curry with boiled fried rice, whilst my partner ordered the sweet and sour chicken. We shared some fried rice and chow mien. All were excellent. We didn't have to wait long for our food to be ready. We both really enjoyed our meals and we're really excited about the amount of options available to us for future visits. I haven't had a Chinese takeaway in over 18 years so I'm happy I finally have a vegan alternative. I would have given 5 stars if HappyCow permitted it. Note, that the prices on google aren't accurate. They've increased in price and a meal for 2 will probably set you back around £15 £20. We both preferred our meals over Shanghai 1814, which also do lovely vegan Chinese food in Southampton city centre."

"I decided to try here after my usual was shut, got the salt and pepper box and chips. Amazing food, proper chippy chips, and the best ribs and chicken wings I've ever had. I also noticed on the menu this is the first place that serves both yellow bean dishes and fried dumplings so I'm looking forward to my next visit."

"Moshimoshi. Hey, do you remember that Fruity Oaty Bars commercial during the bar fight scene in Serenity? Well, this is the restaurant equivalent. Awesome sushi style food constantly parading round like some sort of delicious rice based fashion show. Now stop thinking Lady Gaga. Have a seat and wait for something that looks like something you'd like to eat come round on the conveyor belt, then quickly look through the menu matching the picture to the plate...oh no, too late, it's moved on, and it was that thing you wanted, ah well, nevermind here comes another one. It's all fun and if that thing you want hasn't come round for a while, press the button to summon the sushi ninja servant who will bring that darn elusive Katsu Chicken Roll to your table. There are also a host of foods that have to be ordered from the menu. Keep an eye on the dishes tho'. It is very easy to eat lots of stuff and rack up a big old bill at the end. You could always wait for one of your friends to go to the toilet and just slip some of your plates onto their stack. Sunday morning is the best time to visit. Super Sumo Sundays is an all you can eat deal for £18.50 Or you can try Blue Monday where all plates are £2.30 I love Yo! Sushi, in any city, but I can see myself visiting this one quite a bit more than usual. The location is great for shoppers but even better if your travelling by train or bus and have a spare hour before catching your next vehicular transportational device. I've actually factored in a Yo! hour in Aberdeen whenever I'm passing through. Oh yeah, they don't sell Fruity Oaty Bars."

"This charming cafe/restaurant offers a fantastic variety of food and drinks, with ample seating available both inside and outside. There is even a dog friendly area indoors. The prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly and helpful. The carvery meals come in three different sizes to suit all appetites, with a selection of meats and vegetables. Other set meals are also available and are equally delicious. Definitely worth a visit, and you can explore the garden center and pick up fresh vegetables and fruit from the farm shop before heading home."

"We booked dinner quite late and the staff fitted us in no problem. The Bottle Glass is a very nice looking pub, rustic lighting and furnishings, it’s a classy place. We were seated right next to a roaring log burner, nice touch. The staff warned us things might be slow on the service due to being very busy. Fair enough at least we were warned. The food? A baked Camembert to share for starters. This was delicious but I would argue it was more for one than 2 people. 3 small bits of bread were served. Why 3? 3 bits of bread each would have been fine. We waited patiently for the main. Venison Saddle. Only one complaint the Venison was rare, almost blue. It may have been rushed due to the delay and we could’ve sent it back but we had waited long enough. Venison should be medium rare and it tainted the dish but the marrow mash and jus was superb. It might be best to ask customers if they prefer rare as it is personal preference. The staff were attentive and welcoming. The overall menu options are excellent and we will go back. With a little bit more refinement this pub can be up there with some of the best in the region (we’ve been to most of them)."
