"Had been looking forward to trying this place as had heard great reviews but unfortunately very disappointed. Ordered chilli garlic Prawns which did not contain peppers as described and the sauce tasted like chilli ketchup. Squid starter was the most disappointing, the batter was coming off the squid resulting in a congealed sauce which was thick anyway.. Shame about texture as sauce was flavoursome. . The butter chicken was lovely but quite spicy which is surprising as this dish is usually mild, unfortunately no indication of spice level on website otherwise would have asked for spice to be reduced. Placed order over the phone but now wished I placed it on website as they didn't apply correct meal deal, when asked I was advised the butter chicken was not classic curry and therefore not included in deal. Only checked when I returned home and this was one of the dish choices on website for the meal deals. This resulted in over charging me which is bit dishonest."

"When you're craving authentic Indian food with the true taste and flavor of India, look no further than Taka Tak in Oldbury. The dishes are freshly cooked, not reheated from frozen or leftovers, and absolutely delicious. The restaurant has a great atmosphere with popular Indian songs playing, plenty of free on-site parking, and excellent customer service. The only downsides are the waiting time for food and portion sizes, which could be improved. Despite this, I would still give Taka Tak a 5-star rating and highly recommend it."

"Dinner for 2. Return visit as I had been previously during the Eat out promotion with a friend and food had been excellent. "The best place for South Indian tiffin in Birmingham, without a doubt. I have had a few visits and the food quality has been consistent. "This was my first time visiting this restaurant with my partner, and I must say it was really good. We received a warm welcome upon entering the restaurant, and we initially thought the person greeting us was the owner. The portion sizes were generous and we didn't have to wait long for our food, even though we arrived at 6 pm. The restaurant is spacious and we felt a bit lost until more customers arrived. The appetizers were delicious, flavorful, and larger than expected. The main course was also full of flavor and served hot. The house wines, a white and a red, were good. The prices were reasonable, although it took a bit long to receive our bill. The only downside was when my wife found a hair in her appetizer. The owner tried to explain by saying, "we don't have any female staff working tonight." Considering the color of my wife's hair and mine, it could have very well been ours from 30 years ago. Despite this incident, we would consider returning to this restaurant in the future."

"I will not be commenting on the food at Grange restaurant as it was average. On the evening of October 14th, my family and I visited Grange, however, upon arrival, the front parking lot was full. The staff directed us to park in the rear lot, but due to the rainy weather, I did not pay much attention to the instructions and did not realize that there were specific parking guidelines for the restaurant. A month later, I received a parking ticket stating that I had parked in the designated customer parking area, which is strictly for Grange customers. I contested the ticket by providing proof of my visit in the form of an invoice and transaction screenshot, but my appeal was ultimately denied. The reason cited was that despite being a customer, I had not followed the parking instructions. Disappointed by this experience, I will not be returning to Grange.
