"Unfortunately we did not stay at the establishment as we visited the town following a funeral, but we did stop by this beauty and had a spot of lunch. The General aesthetic of the venue was beautiful. It had a nice chilled vibe and was decorated lovely throughout. The service was great and the food was very tasty. Our table had 2 pizza and 2 pasta dishes and the lot was polished off with no complaints. Location is great with a nice view of the town hall perfect for those who like to watch the world go bye and just around the corner from the car park. I'd highly recommend stopping off here for a bit to eat and would love to return for a chilled evening with a few drinks and maybe even stay now I know it has accommodation. The food and drink was fairly priced at just over £20 for a decent size pizza and a can of soda. Service: 5"

"We visited twice last week as we were on a holiday on the Llangollen canal. On entering we were met by two friendly staff, who chatted to us as we ordered drinks, I had noticed the Bikers welcome sign outside , and as an ex-biker was pleased to see it. We myself, wife and 3 grandsons) ordered meals and drinks. I had the fish and chips, wife and eldest GS had chicken and two younger GS the kids I think) lasagne. All meals well cooked and the 2 youngest jokingly lick their plates ugh). Bill came to £38 plus two more rounds of drinks. The food and staff were all excellent but the view towards the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct is stunning. We have been to some drinking places with great views around the World in Australia,USA and Europe) but this is one of the most picturesque I have seen. We revisited the following day on our return down the cut, but just had drinks, as we had eaten in Trevor. See review of Telford Inn."

"I was disappointed to find the restaurant closed for the holidays when I arrived. It's important to note that they do not update their closing days, which ruined our New Year's Eve plans. I wish I had been able to dine there."

"I took my mother to the Two Sisters restaurant for her birthday last Sunday. We were immediately greeted and informed about the brunch options (i.e. buffet versus brunch specials and other adjustments, such as turkey bacon instead of pork). I think this is a great place for a relaxed brunch and definitely for a mother-daughter date. We loved the food and the service. We drove to a Groupon and will definitely drive again without the Groupon. Worth it."

"now I am not a pasta person when I have the choice, I will choose almost everything as a pasta court, but golly I am glad that I did it. my friend and I wanted to go something so that I ordered the fungal pata that they did not very popular so that I ordered the baby spinat, feta and leek pasta, which I was sceptical about as I was sceptical. how do they fit so much taste in such a simple dish? how highly recommended, will probably tell many people about this pasta for the rest of this week."

"I enjoy the pub more for its character and the history behind it than for the food itself A small creaky old pub perched on the banks of the Thames, The Grapes is one of the oldest pubs in the UK and was frequented by Dickens amongst other celebrities. It is now owned by Sir Ian McKellen. I often make use of the terrace which looks over the Thames The only food I tried is their 5 pound pasta bolognese which I found surprisingly good. The wait for the food was a bit long but it was packed at the time (world cup final) There is a cosy restaurant upstairs that I would advise booking for as the number of tables is very limited. But it looks like a great place to take a date for a...read more"

"Dear owner I hear a lott of excuses for everything. Toilet lighting was very poor, not lanterns but a flimsy candle that barely showed where the toilet or sink was. So I do wonder how clean it was in there. And yes. I was tired therefore we eat as was too late to try another place, but not blind or without our taste buds. And it makes it even worse for you to say it 's not Italy therefore I cook italian dishes as per local taste. Are you suggesting that the Welsh people do not know good food or how a simple pasta should be cooked?!?! BTY Through all the excuses you 've had so far, I hear zero mention as to why one slice of supermarket bread cost £1.50. You have a good day!"

"We had a fantastic experience at Tony's restaurant. The staff, including the owner Tony, were incredibly welcoming and attentive. We visited the restaurant located at the Penny Hill Hotel for some delicious Italian cuisine, and we were not disappointed. We enjoyed a half and half pepperoni pizza and penne arrabbiata, both of which were excellent. The service was top-notch and the atmosphere was perfect for a relaxing dinner. Overall, we highly recommend this restaurant for a great dining experience. Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Food: 5 Price per person: £40-50."

"This restaurant boasts a stunning location right by the river. The interior is beautifully decorated, and the staff is friendly and attentive. The food is not only delicious but also reasonably priced, making it an ideal spot for a romantic dinner or a night out with friends or family. The cocktails are visually impressive, and the latte was delightful. As for parking, there is a small on-site lot, but ample free street parking is available. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience for dinner."

"I am unsure how to rate this restaurant. We have visited before and the food and service from the older gentleman are excellent. However, I had planned to meet a colleague for breakfast here. When we arrived, the owners were inside, but one of them informed us that they were only opening at 9am instead of their usual 7:30am (I arrived at 8:00am). Unfortunately, we had to go across the street for breakfast."

"Fitzroy Wine Cellar Kitchen feels like a small café with a liquor license but charges restaurant prices. The waiter was friendly, but the food was average. While the wine menu offered a good selection, the prices were high and there were limited options available by the glass. We booked through OpenTable when visiting someone at UCLH without realizing what was on the other side; otherwise, we would have chosen to go elsewhere."
"This place has consistently impressed me with its delicious food! Italian cuisine is a personal favorite, and our waiter was so friendly, which made the experience even better. The dishes arrived piping hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious! The restaurant is quite small, but it definitely meets the demand for authentic Italian fare. Their Italian-style wings were incredibly tasty, although the bruschetta wasn’t as enjoyable. However, the margarita pizza was amazing—I loved how flavorful it was! The lasagna was my favorite dish, and the Italian salmon was also very good. Overall, this is definitely a place worth visiting!"

"Overpriced, very poor choice of menu and extremely below average food . Spaghetti bolognaise was absolutely tasteless as was the tiramisu. Very small portions and very expensive! Carbonara and seafood pasta have been removed from the menu which were the the reason for our visit again as they were excellent dishes . The choice was very limited and very poor especially for an upmarket hotel. The restaurant manager seemed stressed and spent the entire meal instructing staff what to do which was very stressful to watch when trying to relax over dinner. The ambience is depressing and the the hotel as a whole seems to have gone downhill. Extremely disappointed and being local we expected a much higher standard. Not what I would expect from an upmarket hotel in St Andrews . Won’t be back !"

"The children's choices were very poor when we attended the carvery on New YEARS day. the only options for children were nuggets or sausages with chips for 5 EUR. my daughter likes a proper dinner so asked for a slice of baked ham with a spoonful of rice and carrots. all for the astonishing price of 9.95. I myself had a half portion of the beef for the same price and had more than enough for an adult. however for what my daughter received, it was a ridiculously priced. What about promoting healthy eating for small children? I specifically asked the staff for healthier options for my 3 year old bit was told that was it. I also queried it with reception as the manager was on a break but never received a follow up. disappointing."

"We had a fantastic experience at this restaurant with amazing seafood in a beautiful setting and a wonderful atmosphere. They were able to accommodate us at the last minute, even with our children and dog in tow. We were very grateful for that. The children enjoyed dishes like pasta bolognese and a vegetarian option, while the adults savored seafood dishes like oysters, scallops, and mackerel soup. Desserts were delicious. We will definitely be returning and will make sure to book ahead next time!"

"A great venue in the center of Oundle. A group of 4 of us visited today with no booking, but still we were accommodated, even though they were pretty fully booked, with groups of 12 expected. Restaurant has been themed as an American Diner, and the home-made food is excellent. Staff were very helpful and friendly, and the prices reasonable. Will definitely be back when next in Oundle."

Asked for more cheese and prawns on the pizza as hardly any on which was done ..This place used to be amazing, certainly not now. Quite chilly in there. "I came to this place with a member of my family, with the aim of having something eat at this venue. After sitting down at table 16, our order was written onto the menu that was set at the table, I opting for the pork steak, potatoes and vegetables, while my companion requested steak pie and chips, along with two lattes for the both of us. This all came to just under £18. As per habit with Covid-19, baby wipes were used to wipe down the table surface, to ensure it was clean. As this was being done, it quickly became apparent how filthy the table was, as the wipes turned black with filth from the side of the table. The staff may disinfect the tables after they are used by customers, but they are certainly not cleaned thoroughly. The server, who acted as cook behind the counter, came and brought the tray, practically slamming it down onto the table before departing, doing all this without comment. Evidently customer service is not a high priority. The food that was served was edible, however, I would not consider it appetizing, especially not for the high price that was paid for this meager, particularly as I've been to similar independent food outlets that offered more for less, and with a friendly smile to go with it. Overall, but for the fact its located at a popular garden centre, this food outlet would not be up and running for long with its business model, of serving small portions of overpriced food, by disgruntled employees to customers sat disinfected, dirty tables. I would not recommend this outlet for its food."
