"Me and my husband took our 2 children down The Bull for lunch a few Saturdays ago. Excellent for the kids as have play area, children's booths and had a bouncy castle that particular weekend. Love how accommodating they are for children.... slush puppies, popcorn, mocktails, icecream, fab kids menu etc. We had a nice bit of food too, love the summer grill menu. Place was well maintained and clean. Staff were very friendly. Bit of a wait at the outdoor bar but what do you expect on a Saturday when the weather is lovely! Will be returning soon, thank you for a great afternoon!!!"

"We have eaten at the Red Barn many many times but since COVID they have changed their menu and booking system. In my opinion it is for the better. The service was excellent and we had the best meal we’ve ever had there. A smaller menu but the quality of the food was fabulous. Looking forward to returning there when we are next in Woolacombe"

"My wife and I have been to the County Kitchen a few times for their Sunday Carvery. So why, you may ask have I only given the County Kitchen 3 stars and entitled my review as lacks consistency? Well the title does say it all, it isn 't that the food and service and surroundings are bad its just that as a complete package it...........lacks consistency. Perhaps I should explain rather than repeating myself Our table was crammed in with others in the small conservatory/veranda area. It felt cramped as we were against a pillar and so close to at least 6 other diners that it felt uncomfortable and unwelcoming, especially as the rest of the restaurant was empty. Moving on to our food. We opted for starters, followed by the carvery. My wife 's starter crab haddock fishcake, with chive hollandaise was presented nicely and according to her very nice but lacked flavour . Mine was pork belly terrine and chutney my comments mirror those of my wife 's. Lacked seasoning and flavour, but looked nice. I echo Greg Wallace 's thoughts on Masterchef the other day..... ...would rather have something that tastes good rather than a dish that just looks pretty... Now the carvery you have a choice of at 3 roast meats plus vegetables and if you feeling really hungry there isn 't a limit to the number of times you can go back. But for most appetites 1 visit is enough. Being a little greedy I had a couple of slices of port with yummily crisp crackling) and some beef. The carver described the beef as medium rare my preference) but it was more like medium to well done so it was a bit tough and chewy shame as it looked a fantastic joint of beef). That finally put an end to our meal, we paid our bill £59.95 incl bottle of wine, and starters) and left. I have to say that this hasn 't been our experience on other occasions, so perhaps its was just an off day. Will we go back? Probably, but we won 't be rushing back. Its not a bad place, it just.....lacks consistency!"

"The meal was delightful. Our party of 7 had a private space on the mezzanine level. The service was exceptional, with friendly and entertaining waitstaff. We all opted for the 3-course pre-theatre menu and every dish was thoroughly enjoyed. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and generously portioned. I tried the vegetarian platter, which included butternut squash lasagne, mushroom arrincini, and gnocchi with basil pesto, and even though I am not a vegetarian, I found it to be delicious. I would definitely order it again. I highly recommend this Italian restaurant as it was the best meal I have had in a long time and great value for money."

"they enter the pub and so we stood at the bar and waited to be recognized. employees get drinks for customers at the bar and not even a simple “Hello” or reinsurance that they knew we were waiting. after almost minutes I asked. the barmann when we waited at the right place for the restaurant. he suddenly said, “Have you booked?” I confirmed that I and the time. we went to us and then went away. Paper menus on the table, no drinks menu at all. menus were left on the table, maybe this is a Kovid measure and they intend to throw away the paper menu, seemed just strange and no explanation given. kellnerin appeared a short time later asked what we wanted to order. I've seen it in a hurry to ask to shoot. drinks arrived, a drink was wrong, no big thing, it changed without problems. we all had the chicken roast and the meat was really delicious, no problems there. the veg consisted of less than one tablespoon of cauliflower, a single carrot strip and two small discs of papageiens. very small bratkartoffels and were tante bessies ofen ready to sort or similar certainly not a cooking quality or homemade frying. the gravure was well flavored and delicious. after the meal was laid on the table, the waitress disappeared permanently. the water that had been demanded for the table did not arrive. the waitress was not near enough to ask at any point. halfway through the meal, from us our drinks had ended and looked around again and again to order another, but no incident. No one came and asked how the meal was or whether we needed anything. who I think was the manager or owner was very attentive for two ladies sitting a few tables away and seemed to impress them. they did not seem to be aware of any other guests in the opposite and had their flashers fixed. the table next to us was a group of people, the limited space made it very loud (not really someone to blame), but it was difficult for us to talk to each other on the table when we were in the competition to hear. we finished our meals and sat for about minutes waiting for the staff to notice. the waitress catches the place of my boring expression over the room and came by and asked if we were done. at this point more drinks were offered, which we rejected. we had also removed the idea of dessert and so ordered only a child with us. ordered a cappuccino, that came and the barman asked who ordered it. when the person laid his hand, the barman leaned over the table, whereby a second person had to move her chair back, on the one hand, because it was so rude to lean so tightly and on the other hand over someone because there was the danger of having a hot drink over the head. to move the table to the person that is served, seems not to have been taught to the staff. two packs of white sugar were sat casually on the table. the drink was lukewarm and badly made. brown sugar was demanded when the dessert of the child arrived and that was given. the dessert was brought to the child (alter with the instruction “not touching the plate it is really hot” I moved the plate for him and it was tasty hot after having been whipped around in the microwave to warm the brownie I suspect. fortunately, he is a child who is not impulsive and has no special needs and therefore would not attack a plate, but much more thoughts should be given to safety, in particular safety of children. change the plate would have taken seconds before serving a child. the waitress then disappeared again and we looked at how he had to stand up and go on looking for waiting staff. we were finally asked if we wanted something else and politely said that the bill would be enough. a service fee has been added to the bill. after the discussion, we decided (for the first time in my case) to draw the complaint from the bill. I said the waitress that politely and said that unfortunately this evening did not go well. her answer was: “OK, thank you” took the payment and went away. there was no attempt to apologize or ask what made us feel like that. then we put on our hands and made us to the door. ignored by the waitress who either do not check whether we go or not interested. the manager/owner was right at the exit and did not try to say goodbye or even thank her for her need. really is a scandal and in the right hands could visit and enjoy a wonderful place."

"Good range of starters we had the sliced duck tasty and a generous portion. We both had the roast beef which was excellent. Chefs were very jolly and served generously Beef, lots of veg and 2 types of potato. A dessert table to die for chocolate b b pudding, many cheese cakes more fruit would have been good. First coffee had almost no coffee in it just hot milk! Replacement cup much better. Table service efficient but not overly warm. This was a very informal family oriented venue so this service seemed oddly out of place."

"I went with a friend for afternoon tea. I had requested pastries rather than cakes and we were provided with those. It was very busy that afternoon but the staff kept us informed and anyway we were in no hurry. The prosecco was great as was the Earl Grey tea and coffee. The sandwiches were good and the selection of types. Plenty of good cream and jam. Whilst the scones were warm and fresh I did find them a bit stodgy and a little bland like they were missing something. We both ate the scones. Of course neither of us could eat all the pastries but we provided with a box and I took them home and my husband who ate all of them. I will be going again as I have already booked another afternoon tea for the 29th of April."

"Went on a Monday night as everything on the menu is only £5.00, food is typically pub chain mass produced so don’t expect a la carte. Drinks are reasonably priced but I do struggle to understand why it’s so difficult to pour a decent pint of Guiness, lack of training I suppose. The staff are friendly but they could do with a decent uniform as jeans and dirty trainers doesn’t look very nice. No body came to ask if our food was ok or if we needed anything else. Perhaps a bit more interaction with the customer might generate a few more tips."

"We ordered takeout for New Year's Eve, which also happened to be my husband's 65th birthday. I must say that we have had many delicious takeout meals from this restaurant throughout the past year. However, unfortunately, this time was a huge disappointment. The onion bhajis were decent, but not as tasty as usual. The mushroom rice was okay, but the chicken tikka korma was absolutely inedible. The sauce was watery and tasted only of milk, with chicken that did not seem to be tikka. The lamb madras was also inedible, with very fatty meat and an overpowering cumin flavor in the sauce. The roti bread was raw in the middle. Everything was cold and took 45 minutes to heat up in the oven. We only took a few bites of each dish because they were so bad. Please improve the quality of your food, Viceroy, especially on special occasions like this. We will be looking for another restaurant for our next takeout order."

"experiences have been very hit or miss. The sushi rolls are decently priced and fairly tasty, but I was disappointed with the quality of the imitation crab meat. It tasted more like a poor imitation of fake crab rather than the real thing. The delivery was on time and the packaging was secure, but I can't say I'll be ordering from Urawa again. Overall, a disappointing experience."

"Our views are: A few things for you to note please: 1. The main entrance to your hotel was spectacular. 2. When we were seated it took far too long to get served. After 20 minutes we only had water on the table! 3. The Indian guy who initially came to ask for our menu choice did not understand the items on the menu. He could not understand “Severn and Wye salmon” – which I understand may be difficult in their native tongue . He also incorrectly described the Pumpkin dinner because I asked him if the vine tomato sauce came in a small separate “boat” – he stated yes. I presume during induction these items are explained sufficiently? I think he needs more training. 4. I would like to give praise to Erin who looked after us yesterday at lunchtime in your main restaurant. She was attentive but not pushy, engaged with us and always delivered with a smile. 5. The food was just excellent, together with a wide range of wine provided us with a memorable afternoon – thanks. Overall we enjoyed the experience which might have been dire if it were not for Erin – please take time out to thank this excellent employee who is an asset to your organisation."

"The staff was excellent; they always made sure everything was okay. There was no long wait for meals or drinks."
"Table for three consisted of two small round tables put together making the third person feel out of the engagement. Brought to the attention of staff member when shown the table and with few people within the restaurant this could have enabled a quick remedy. Met with a shrug when brought to the attention of this particular staff member, although other staff members were helpful during the evening. No real provision for wheelchair users. Had to go outside the hotel to enter the restaurant through conservatory with no ramp provision, having to struggle over threshold of fire door."

"beautiful restaurant with view of the bar, beautiful outside seats, if the weather allowed. service was friendly and attentive. had to start muddles with sea vegetables, which was good, but very salty, perhaps the meergy pleasure to sell some salt. monkfish was excellent and cooked, seasoned perfectly. no place for dessert so order a Macchiato coffee, but got a cappuccino. good wine list and cheap, **** mary could have been better, as it does not season and served with too much ice makes it watery."

"Really good service, I have to say. Prices also reasonable. But I’ve never had a chicken doner wrap at a place that has no pickles. The flavour was just imbalanced. I asked for pickles but they said they don’t have any at all. Not that they had run out, they just don’t serve them. Very strange. And this did impact my enjoyment of the meal."

"Our first visit to this delightful family run restaurant to celebrate my wife's birthday. We visited in the evening and were able to park right outside. The restaurant has a pleasant ambience. The staff were very welcoming and service throughout was very attentive without being intrusive. The menu offers a wide choice and we each selected 3 different steak cuts which were well cooked to our request. Prices are reasonable for the quality of the food. A nice touch was to add a lighted candle to my wife's dessert and orchestrate a chorus of happy birthday. An excellent experience only 4 stars for atmosphere but we ate early and I'm sure when it is full, the atmosphere will be 5 star vibrant. Thank you."

"Staff disappeared after bringing the food. For a whole hour and a half not a single member of the team either approached the table or looked in our direction. Had to stand up and go and ask for more drinks. Couldn't get them to bring the bill to the table so walked to the exit to pay.... waitress didn't even look at to us, just printed out the bill and handed it to us silently."

"Venue suited our visit to the London Palladium. Staff lovely; helpful and friendly but not overly so. Food and venue average Spagetti House in this really quite small but pleasant restaurant. Service prompt. The downside was the lack of toilet facilities. The ladies was so small that there was barely 3cms between the door and the pan! Awkward to negotiate at the best of times but anyone 'larger than average ' would fine it really difficult. Only a single loo for men and another for women. Might have been worth considering having two unisex loos. Would only recommend with provision"

"This restaurant is not worth the hype or the high prices. Our table was unfortunately located next to the cooking area, resulting in strong and overpowering cooking smells. The shared Indian platter we ordered as a starter was disappointingly deep fried, greasy, and tasted like it had been frozen. The naan bread and rice were the only saving grace. The Chicken Makhani dish lacked flavor and tasted like canned tomato soup, and was lacking in spice. At £24 per serving, it was definitely not worth the cost."
