"My Mum, our friend and I entered Pizza Express to encounter a lovely buzzing atmosphere. We sat at a spacious table in the centre of the room and were greeted by Joanne, a WONDERFUL server who absolutely made our night. Throughout the entire meal she was polite and efficient, yet also laughing and joking with us she really put a smile on our faces. Joanne politely waited a good while to take our orders, as she noticed that we were old friends in need of a long overdue catch up and were therefore in no rush. After ordering, the food did not take long at all to arrive to our table. Our friend really enjoyed her pizza, and my leggara la reine was also delicious I especially enjoyed the wholemeal dough. Despite the thinness of the dough, my pizza did remain relatively hot as I ate it, which was a welcome surprise. My mum did not finish her pollo pasta as it was more creamy/cheesey than she expected it to be, but she said that she did enjoy the half portion that she did manage. The coffees and deserts went down an absolute treat as well salted caramel profiteroles for one, and figs and ice cream for the other (want an authentic desert to find on the menu! My mum was pleasantly surprised, as she loves figs). The bill that we paid was entirely reasonable we would have happily paid far more due to the service that we received from Joanne alone! I have enjoyed a meal at this branch of Pizza Express many a time, and this experience has cemented itself as a trustworthy option for a delicious, no fuss meal in a brilliant atmosphere with great service.
