"on Friday the sun is immersed here and we have tied a fished, we have a table fast as I think most people were stunned themselves. the retaining device was approx. 3/4 full service was very fast our 2 fish chips came along with brothbutter with 2 pots tee, within 5/10 minutes the fish was a big part, not their weed tiddler or half serving at other place served I can not mistake the food or service. if I had 1 grübe it would have to be that the papdies brown sauce is served in a saucer with a spoon that I will detest the taste as it is served. I would rather have had a bottle hp brown sauce, they even have the bags of hp brown sauce next door in their...read more"

"First the positive: the pizza was excellent. Authentic Italian, quality and tasty. Where this restaurant fails is the fact that they cram diners too closely together, especially in their basement. Despite having booked in advance we were led to a table downstairs. This room is small, airless and dank and yesterday evening was hot. There isn't even elbow room between the tables. As each successive set of diners came down the stairs their faces revealed their dismay. At one point around a dozen teenagers were shown to a table for about six. They stayed five minutes before bumping their way out. Not their fault as it was virtually impossible to not bump into someone. Once we had finished our delicious pizzas we went outside to finish our wine and the queue outside left when they saw us emerge sweating. A great shame the owners of this otherwise excellent restaurant seemingly try to put profit above customer enjoyment."

"in this crazy live and so often unfriendly city to find this little Sicilian family run precious stone is a joy. sitting on a table of Italian natives, people come to their "regular tables" with italia being sprinkled over the room, and a damn good food also: grazie mille:"

"I must say I did enjoy the vibe of the place, unpretentious and unscripted, all while facing the green to remind you that you are still in London somewhat! Food offerings are more geared towards hearty than fine. Wine by the glass comes in one size! It' what you like no?? I would have loved to come back here around the 9:45-11 PM on a Friday Saturday to experience the place at its buzzy best ..."

"Is this part of the Al Forno chain or is it a franchise? If so it does not compare to the other Al Forno restaurants. Food was ok but presentation was poor. It was empty and the tables were dirty. Considering it was not busy service is minimal, the button to call works but this takes away from the experience there is no quality check and no up-selling took place. For that reason value for money is poor although not really expensive. A few people allowed of the street to sit and smoke not sure if anything was ordered this gives it a low end feel. Not as portrayed on your website."

"Wirtshaus in der Au was my favorite restaurant in Munich. It is one of the few restaurants in the city that remains open late."
"As most people do, we popped in for a quick meal prior to the theatre. Carlos our host and his colleagues were very welcoming and the food was spectacular. I had the spaghetti vongole one of the best ever and my girlfriend had the best chicken Kiev she said she has ever had. The tuna and the veal which our guests had also came highly recommended. The only negative is that our time there was much too short and we plan to visit again just for an evening out without any time constraints. Thank you Carlos and your family"

"We had a lovely lunch after shopping on Portobello Rd. Our server ,Maurice, was very attentive. We had the Fried Buccatini and Calzonetti with ricotta and ham. Absolutely yummy! We then had two different pasta dishes which were both delightful! Lovely little place!"

"Excellent place to have great authentic Italian cuisine. This family friendly restaurant serves lovely food Staff are friendly and accomidate you needs very well. We were sat right next to the open kitchen and we watched then prepare and cook our pizzas. The chef was friendly friendly played along with our children. Including making then a dough crocodile. They enjoyed the experience very much. Food was reasonably priced. I didn't feel it was expensive. Maybe the wine. Parking is hard work. There's a pay and display behind the restaurant but it's the most ill designed car park with 10 cars trying to find a space and no room to turn around and manoeuvre. We had to sneakily park behind a shop. Anyway, overall a lovely place to eat."
"Brought my young teens as Italian is always a good choice. Very rustic inside. Food came quickly and was really tasty. Pizza base was excellent. Only disappointment was that they didn’t do ice creams which the children wanted, so didn’t stay for dessert. Reasonably priced..."

"Went here for an impromptu dinner and was well looked after and given lovely food. We weren't too hungry, so didn't order too much. Pasta and Prawns and both were lovely. I glanced over at a Pizza someone was having and that looked nice too. I will be back and it is only a 5 minute walk from my place and crouch hill station- you should really go."

"Giusi for Mother's Day when we wanted to stay here. Small and cozy restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere. Service was friendly and efficient. However, food was mixed. Calamari Starter was rubbery and, at nine pounds, not cheap. Spaghetti Bolognese main was quite delicious, with good amount of meaty Bolognese. The calf liver was quite tasteless and sour, with a large amount of caramelized onions above to offer the taste. Mash was smooth. The desert consisted of a pizza with mussels and strawberries, which was delicious. No wine or alcohol, so not able to comment on it. The bill came to seventy five pounds, which we would have expected to pay in a much better restaurant. All in all, Giusi has all the ingredients of a beautiful restaurant, but just falls in quality, and very expensive for what it is. Think the pizza and pasta options are your best bet."

Calamari starter was rubbery and, at nine pounds, not cheap. Spaghetti bolognese main was quite tasty, with good amount of meaty bolognese. Calves liver was rather tasteless and sinewy, with a large quantity of caramelised onions on top to provide the flavour. Mash was smooth though. Desert consisted of a pizza with nutella and strawberries, which was yummy. No wine or alcohol, so unable to comment on that. The bill came to seventy five pounds, which was what we'd have expected to pay in a much better restaurant. "This was our third visit this year, and honestly, the restaurant is just mediocre. Leatherhead doesn’t have many good dining options, so we keep returning to this Italian place. This time, I started with an avocado, tomato, and mozzarella salad, but it had no flavor at all. For my main course, I ordered spaghetti vongole, but it was gritty, so I couldn't eat it. The owner did offer an alternative, but I just didn’t feel like eating anymore. My partner ordered a pizza, but unfortunately, the crust wasn’t crispy. We ended up paying and leaving without much satisfaction. I don’t think we’ll return again in the future."

"Honestly, I must start off by saying how impressed I was with the quality of the vegetarian Chilli Freak pizza we ordered. It was arguably perfectly done with a delicious crust and tantalisingly good amounts of spice and heat — it’s just a shame with...what came before it. During a time of scrutiny where hygiene measures should be paramount within the food industry and takeaway kitchens, we were hugely disappointed to see staff at work not abiding by these guidelines, not wearing masks, beard nets, gloves and, terribly, handling meat without washing their hands before spreading vegetarian toppings. This is very, very poor and something I will write to Papa John’s directly about because (as pictured) zero attention or care is seemingly given to their customers behind the scenes. Not even wearing disposable gloves or masks with being so prevalent is something I find deeply unsettling. It’s therefore challenging for me to award Papa John’s in Brentwood anything more than two star. We also must address the costs of food on their menu. For solely a large pizza, you can be paying nearly GBP which is exorbitant! There is a distinct lack of friendly customer service and I imagine waiting times can be fairly long when the place is busy. So, all in all, whilst the pizza might have been delectable and makes formidable opposition when compared to a Pizza Hut order, behind the scenes there really is a great deal of work seemingly to be done. Quite dire hygiene it appears."

"We were in the trattoria at Christmas, beautiful location, food prices relatively high, but the quality was right and the kitchen is innovative. We were welcomed very nicely. It is a shame, however, that you were not offered a drink on the house with a relatively high bill with generous tips. But all in all, very recommendable, will go again"
