"We arrived later than I had booked to have a meal prior to a show (tube delays) but they had held our table. When we said we were going to the theatre they said they would put a rush on our food which they did. We had plenty of time to eat our 3 course meal which was very tasty. The people on the table next to us had complained about very salty food but ours were fine. Portion sizes for the main course weren’t big but very tasty. They do add a 12.5% service charge but we only paid 10% which they accepted fine. All in all a great little restaurant very close to the Piccadilly theatre where we were going. Would go again. 3 course fixed menu was good value at £20."

"Made the mistake of eating here tonight. Surprisingly open instead of the usual excuses of staff. Ordered first of three couples. They were all served before us and waited untill they had finished before we got our order and when questioned this the waitress 'Kitsty ' was rude stroppy and unhelpful. Completely in the wrong job as has zero customer service manners or class. She said that the manager had looked into it and you didn 't wait that long but he couldn 't be bothered to talk to us. When asked for his name was told no chance. Do yourself a favour and go anywhere else. Mediocre food and bad bad attitude!!!!!! "I had my first experience at this restaurant, and I can’t emphasize enough how delicious the food was. Everything was freshly prepared with high-quality ingredients, beautifully presented. "Chef James Morgan is somewhat of an unsung hero of mine, his attention to detail in all matters burger related is impeccable. His braised fore rib burger catapulted into my list of Top 10 best burgers in London after sampling it several times, so when I heard he 'd put on a Sloppy Joe burger as a special, I was gutted I wasn 't around to sample it. The good news, however, is that with massive amounts of positive feedback, he has finally put it on the menu full time so I popped up on a Friday lunchtime to see what the fuss was about... Price: Sloppy Joe burger with 'skinny ' fries £12 Presentation: The Sloppy Joe is presented lid on in the same fashion as the Wenlock 's other burgers, together with a bowl of skinny fries and a pot of mustard mayo, patty glistening under the weight of melted cheese and Sloppy Joe topping. I can 't wait to get stuck in. Toppings: Classically, the Sloppy Joe has a base of ground beef, but Chef James Morgan has whipped up his own take on the popular American recipe and come up with a topping that includes pulled pork, braised fore rib, red wine, brasied carrot, celery, onion, garlic, and chopped tomato and is reduced so far that it virtually sits up on the spoon. It 's has rich, savoury flavour that melts in the mouth and makes you want to shovel piles of it into your mouth at once. The Montgomery cheddar is melted over the Sloppy Joe topping, sealing it in, which itself is topped with oven roasted tomato and sliced dill pickles. Underneath the patty, the bun is smothered with a wild garlic mayonnaise. There are some big flavours here and yet they all combine for a filthy, dirty, stunning climax. Meat: The Wenlock burger patty is the same 100% chuck as on the braised fore rib burger, cooked med rare and it 's as good as ever in this combination. Bun: The Wenlock bun is a special creation from Harvey Rinkoff bakery and is perfectly suited to the mass of joyful mess that it wraps itself around. Overall rating: 9.5/10 This is the second burger from the Wenlock Essex that 's crashed straight into my Top 10 list of best burgers in London and it 's well deserved. The range of carefully prepared ingredients that have then potential to punch significantly below their weight when combined, work in a harmony that 's greater than the sum of their parts. The basics are spot on. The bun. The beef patty. The cheese. The chips. And the Sloppy Joe tops it all off."

"I have been doing La Porchetta since their first branch opened in Finsbury for the past (almost) 20 years these guys can certainly do pizza and it is proper pizza not that disgusting thing that is normally dished up in the UK called pizza these are proper pizza breads baked with proper toppings and generally they are not stingy with the toppings. If there is anything that drives me mad its a pizza with stingy toppings La Porchetta serve you a sloppy well stocked tasty Italian pizza at a reasonable price and you will walk out of the restaurant smiling (and probably carrying half your pizza in a box). My only criticism of the Rosebery Ave branch is that it is FREEZING cold inside come on guys turn up the heat please! Its big and spacious and almost empty at lunch time and early evenings and it simply does not have a warm and welcoming atmosphere it is actually very off putting its the design of the place that makes it like that too many windows and not enough heating and a warm atmosphere apart from that the food is great La Porchetta desserts have always been a let down as they just serve the frozen stock stuff that they get from suppliers so I would avoid that unless you like a sugar shot of fake flavourings but the pizza and drinks menu are superb the starters too are for teh most part very good (albeit a bit simple)"

"On another occasion, we attended a Quiz Night at the restaurant and had a very enjoyable evening. The village atmosphere was great and the beer selection was impressive, including local brews from Vale Breweries and craft ales on tap. Despite the large crowd in one area, the service was still good and diners were able to enjoy their meals peacefully in another area."

"We've ordered 2 pizzas and 3 different pastas. Most of our choices was not available. My bruschetta-a very thin, hard tost with cheap olive oil, some red onion and tomato was far from Italian bruschetta. Pizza base was hard and tasteless. My pasta was ok but for the price I expected bigger portion. Staff was friendly but not attentive. Waiting for first drinks about 20 minutes. For food over an hour and about second drink I had to remind them. There was no more then 3 tables occupied so they wasn't that busy. Two waitress went out for a cigarette and didn't wash their hands afterwards. 6 of us decided not going back to this restaurant."

"Recently my mum I had the Gin Afternoon Tea on a trip across the Irish Sea to Bella Italia on Hanover Street! We were thrilled with the whole experience. The food was delicious, the presentation was very nice and the service we received from Mark was absolutely fantastic. Mark was extremely attentive and catered to our every need ensuring we had water and plates for each tier of the Afternoon Tea. Our Afternoon Tea with Hendricks Gin was a highlight of our trip. The tea pot and cups were a lovely touch! Highly recommend!"

"A wonderful find. The food was delicious. We were only there for a light lunch after a morning's walk, but temptation got the better of us. Imam Bayaldi (baked stuffed aubergine) followed by chocolate marquise. It would be just mean to remove a star for their one faux pas: earl grey tea presented as an attractive glass cup of boiled water with a separate teabag (the Earl would shudder). Everywhere looks better on a beautiful sunny day, but sitting in the beer garden looking across in the direction of Stonor with red kites circling around was really delightful."

"I had lunch here. we ordered the mixed calamari prawn and rocket salad for starter. then the seabass crab ravioli and beef wagu rib pasta. I enjoyed the rocket salad, the spicy sauce was quite delicious. the ravioli and the pasta were little hard, (my thoughts only need another 30 seconds), except that it was beautiful. something else for lunch for us. "I typically avoid leaving reviews for restaurants, especially as someone who works in the industry. I usually only leave positive reviews, if any at all. However, due to a health and safety concern, I feel it is necessary to share my experience. Providing gluten-free pasta for one person should not be a difficult task. Unfortunately, in our group, the gluten-free pasta was mistakenly given to someone who could consume regular pasta, and vice versa. Luckily, we were able to catch this mistake due to the visual differences in the pasta. The coeliac's meal was taken away, and while the rest of us enjoyed our pizzas, the gluten-free individual was left without food. They were eventually given a takeaway meal to carry with them to the next venue and a 20% discount was offered. Considering the inconvenience and distress this caused our group, I believe that the main meals should have been comped. As a result of this experience, we will not be returning to this restaurant."

"Wow what a restaurant!! A hidden gem! Tallon, who was front of house and waiter made us feel so welcome. He was happy and bubbly and gave the whole restaurant a friendly feel. The food!!! I've never had bread as a starter that melts in your mouth. I had the pork tenderloin and it was cooked to perfection! The brocoli wasn't over cooked and wasn't under cooked. You could feel the time and effort that had gone into this dish and that was just mine! My partner had the rump steak and again cooked totally to perfection. Everything was in perfect quantities and just right! The cheese board finished it all off We will definitely be going back. Perfect restaurant!"

"I went there with a close friend who has asperges today. id promised to treat him as I had a voucher and had booked a table accordingly. we both had been homosexually proud so that with the day felt pretty good. id still a plastic drink with cider when we approached the restaurant (every one in the city went around with plastic cups.) I asked my friend to stay outside while I went into the toilets and checked our booking. When I left the toilets, I saw that my friend ran before crying. When I asked him what had happened, the manager had seen him outside to keep the plastic cup and without asking what he did simpy told him to get out of the grounds (even if he was sitting outside, waited for me to come back from the toilet, then I would have finished the drink from the spatialities and went for our meal if this had not happened) he said he was always dismissed and he was always dismissed! when I approached the manager to explain that there was a misunderstanding and that my friend had aperges and was confused, he said that he had never heard of asperges, but could not worry less. at this place I asked for a refund for my voucher and he leaned flat. fortunately, several people had listened to tables close by and the effects of managers on my friend and gave me their details. I was so upset that this amount of things could happen and would welcome all the other comments to this manager. his name was 'remo roversi' I will contact the Asperges Society as this was a blatant discriminatory and today should not be allowed 'equal world! I will never re-think here until the place is taken over by new administration. please let me know if someone else had a similar experience. david"

"The server was stunning, and we couldn't fault her appearance. However, we decided on the Marco Polo dish thinking it would be similar to the original version, but it turned out to be much spicier than anticipated, leaving us slightly disappointed. Additionally, we had to wait quite a bit for our desserts, much longer than the wait for our main course, which was frustrating. Despite these hiccups, the meal was overall enjoyable, with all dishes served piping hot and with a smile."

"visited for the birthday contract and had a good certificate of bella . my birthday was not recognized as it was in the past, the personal took little interest. eating was served on cold tellers, which meant that it did not stay warm, we complain about this, but nothing was done about them, and do not think it was taken seriously enough, because the answer sometimes comes on hot teller and sometimes not! I am also not happy with my starter of king prawns, which were served with dishes on, but in hot oil, and it was difficult to remove the dish as they were so hot, also no finger bowl to clean finger. ! I also think that the refurbishment of the restaurant, although very beautiful, as something pampered the ambiente of the restaurant, like the old wall painting from the map of italia and some of the old pictures made it a flat."

"my wife and I went to giuseppe's day by a Monday and saw how busy it was to give it to him. we had the most amazing parmigiana to start, absolutely heavenly, followed by a diavolo pizza and spaghetti bolognese. we had not expected that the parts were so big, but we had to finish everything. the pizzateig was perfect and the bolognese sauce so fresh. it's gonna eat here again."

"Trattoria 51, a lovely authentic Italian restaurant, both in food and family. Our party (6) originally had a booking at another restaurant for a birthday meal, however on entering that restaurant, the clientele and decibels were not appropriate for a family affair with two young daughters. Trying to book a table for 6 on a Saturday later afternoon early evening is difficult at the best of times, but running up to Xmas is very difficult. We arrived at Trattoria 51 and the team there were absolutely fantastic! The team were so welcoming, making my daughter's (who were cold and hungry at this stage) feel so comfortable. The team made space for our family party upstairs by making up the tables allocated for another party arriving later that evening. The food was prompt, very nice (pizza and pasta) and not too expensive, the ambience, and atmosphere just right to engage in conversation. I can only thank Trattoria 51 for saving the night for our party and confidently say that I will be returning to enjoy this lovely restaurant soon. Merry Christmas"
