Excellent food and service could not fault. We had scollops, fillet steak and lemon parfait. Priced well. Definitely will be going back again very soon to try other options on the menu.

First time visit. An excellent traditional 2 or 3 course menu offering for Sunday Lunch. Attentive service and great food in generous portion sizes. A very good sticky toffee pudding for afters.

Fantastic meal, we went for the 'Why not Wednesday ' option which included a bottle of lovely white wine. Service was excellent and staff were very attentive and knowledgeable about both the wine and food options. Highly recommend this restaurant View menu

Best barnsley chop around. This is the perfect little spot for an intimate meal with a loved one or for a night out with friends or family. All the food I've tried here has been immaculate, and the staff gets it just right every time. For a special occasion, I will certainly be coming back.

Lovely building and decor in a quaint village. The food was spectacular starters great, husbands steak looked great cooked medium to perfection he said it was one of the best he has had across the world. My lamb was equally as good. Visited for the first time for our Wedding Anniversay it fitted the brief perfectly. A lovely intimate little restaurant the food just speaks for itself…service was fabulous but unfortunately couldn’t manage a dessert but they looked delicious, if we visit again I would miss the starter in favour of pudding! I have been wanting to try this place for a number of years but just never got around to it, I contact them on Thursday to book a table for 7 people the next day to celebrate my mum’s birthday. They accommodated us immediately. We have booked for the offer of 3 courses and a bottle of wine at £35pp. We were not disappointed, the food was excellent, the lady who welcomed us on arrival was very friendly, professional and very tentative. The young ladies who served us were very polite and seemed happy in the work. I will definitely return here and have already recommended it to our friends. We had a wonderful Sunday lunch here whilst celebrating our Wedding Anniversary when staying nearby. The building is very nice, with various dining rooms (you can tell it is a former house) giving a more private feel. We had the lamb and the sirloin of beef (served medium rare). Both dishes came with lovely Yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes and veg cooked perfectly. Only very minor gripe was that the lamb did not have as much flavour as expected but still nice nonetheless. Just enough room left for puddings (glad we did not chose any starters) and I must say that the sticky toffee pudding with honeycomb ice cream was sensational and the real highlight of the meal. We went for our first visit after a recommendation and we wasn’t disappointed . The service , the choices , perfect summer special cocktails and the quality Sunday lunch all made the visit a delight . The staff was attentive but not intrusive .. The food , we both had the beef , was cooked to perfection, fresh potatoes and veg all served in warm tureens to help yourself were for us a perfect pairing .
