"One of the great things about Farnham is that you can stumble upon hidden gems down side streets or alleys. Borelli’s is one of these hidden treasures, with a quaint courtyard outdoor area that is perfect for dining. The outdoor heaters provide a cozy atmosphere, and the bar has a modern city feel. The staff at Borelli’s were amazing, especially with our son who they engaged with and entertained with their knowledge of Pokémon. The menu offers a Mediterranean fusion of Spanish and Italian cuisines, including pizza, pasta, and tapas. We tried the fish paella, spicy chicken wings, antipasto platter, and a dish similar to patatas bravas. While the chicken was perfectly cooked and the potatoes were crispy, the antipasto seemed store-bought and the paella lacked fish and seafood flavor. Despite this, we would probably return to Borelli’s because of the pleasant atmosphere and friendly service."

"The staff did not bring the menu for at least 15 minutes and only brought it when we asked. We then ordered a set menu and a few extra items and some of the food never arrived despite reminding them that we were yet to receive it. We then asked for the bill (taking off the items which did not arrive) and was told by the waitress that this was not possible. We asked to speak to the manager who agreed to take a couple of items off the bill. He was apologetic and said the staff were new and needed more training. He gave us a 10 voucher. However, he decided to include the “optional service charge” in the card payment."

"The reception desk on the ground floor was unattended, so we walked up a flight of stairs to the bar where the staff seemed surprised to see us. After finally being seated, the service was acceptable but not worth the high prices. The menu was extremely limited, with only seven main dishes to choose from, one of which was fish and chips - not what we were expecting for a fine dining experience. The lobster and steak were overpriced. While nothing we ate was bad, nothing stood out as exceptional either, especially considering the prices. Overall, this was one of the least memorable meals we had during our week in Edinburgh. With so many other great dining options in Old Town, I would not recommend Victor Carina Contini's Cannonball Restaurant."

"stay here for 2 nights made the mistake to take a big volvo through the front entrance it was simply unworn, there is a much easier wise when they turn the pub right and right again our debt for not asking. we had a superior room, so a parking space booked and was easily found how marked for us. check in easy and fast, nice comfortable room -21. we had dinner twice, which was beautiful, served quickly by attentive employees huge screaming after sylvia, who was born for hospitable, what a star, efficient, funny exceptionally attentive to all not lose them she is a massive asset. the breakfast is also beautiful. the magnificent atmospheric bar, all wrapped in a beautiful village, rushed to see no spirit that is wonderful to them for our Pre-Xmas trip."

"This is the worst experience I have ever had. I really wish I could get my money back. It was very loud, disorganized and terrible overall. The waiters didn't know which tables belonged to them. The people there were incredibly loud, enough to visibly disturb everyone else, and nobody did anything about it. The food was badly seasoned and cooked. The portions were tiny. Never come here, never. It is a terrible hotel restaurant."

"Less pleasing experience than previously: very noisy and overcrowded. Difficult to navigate to get to the loo etc. Fine evening so asked to sit outside at the back. Was told that no longer exists! Why? Food fine, if unmemorable. Wine expensive for a pub. Saving grace was our waiter, Nicolas. Cheerful, efficient, informative, good eye contact. Brought food quickly considering how busy he was and what he had to contend with. We came here because of previous pleasant experiences but are in no hurry to return. Could do better QH&A!"

"Things change. I used to recommend this pub. The seating was uncomfortable. The food portion was small. Very. Though my coconut curry was quite tasty, my wife's dish was bland. We were not welcomed with a smile and told bluntly that what we had chosen on the menu was, in fact, not available. Normally that information would be given first. Everyone has an off day. I'm hoping that's what it was. I just think it wasn't worth the expense of getting there and eating there. Some people are obsessed with going out. Must have money to burn. The next day, I cooked veggie burgers in brioche buns, with fresh avocado spread inside the buns, served with M&S triple cooked chips. It was heaven and cost next to nothing. "I went to the Old Manor for a lunch time meal with my wife and we were served quickly for our drinks... However, that 's where the positive experience ends I 'm afraid. When we received our drinks we were not prompted to order food and it took a good 10 minutes after drinks to get approached for ordering food. Do bear in mind there were only 3 tables on at this time so it wasn 't Busy . We only ordered mains and nothing else, expecting it to be quick. And thankfully we did only order Mains, because if we had ordered a 3 course we would have probably been there for over 2 hours. Fast forward 45+ minutes (Yes you read that right it took over 45 minutes for our food to arrive. We ordered the Burger and the Chicken Escalope. It doesn 't take over 45 minutes during a quiet time to fry some chicken, chips and grill a burger. When we received our food the only positive really was that it was piping hot. After we started to dig in, the food was mediocre, nothing to rave about (Which is unfortunate, because The Old Manor used to be such a great place to get food. The waiting staff didn 't check up on us for the Post food delivery checkup so we ate it quickly and thankfully there were no issues with it. This isn 't the first time, however that we 've had service this bad. In the last 6 months we 've been 3 times, one of which was Mothers Day and even then it wasn 't the best and service was super slow. Overall it 's an understaffing issue, both front of house and kitchen. I do hope you take measures to improve the service here. As this has caused such a dampener on what should have been a lovely lunch with my wife. Do better."

"Seasonal menu so not much on it, service was polite enough but from the lack of offering us more drinks from the moment our mains came and the lack of offering desserts compared with the speed in which our plates were cleared it felt very much like they’d rather we didn’t hang around which is odd because 1. It was empty and 2. The muddy par next door which shares a toilet and a kitchen is the polar opposite. The manager (assuming it was the manager, the bald head and accent) made it extra uncomfortable to be in, felt the need to pace up and down the floor at the bar occasionally pausing to stick his hands on his hips and look around the restaurant before stomping back off to the kitchen, presumably annoyed that the customers were still there. Very odd."

"The restaurant is beautiful, and while the food was served warm, it was quite tasty. The service was a bit confusing, as the cold dishes arrived first, followed by the hot ones, without a clear separation between the starters, since everything is considered 'tapas.' The chips were cold in all four servings, but our group agreed that despite this, everything we ate was delicious and filling. When it came time to settle the bill, there was some confusion because it indicated that an item had been added, but it wasn't itemized. "Good morning. I have tried since Friday to add this review on your website. Continually saying there is an error. Just some feedback regarding my booking at 18.45 on Friday 31 May. On arrival myself and my partner were escorted to a small two person table on the upper balcony. I had to sit with my foot under the table leg the whole night to prevent the table from rocking. Next without our knowledge our main course was put in front of a large party sitting next to us. It sat there for approx five minutes when one of the ladies at that table asked us if we were waiting on a large chicken and mushroom pizza and a chicken main course. We said we were. The lady stopped one of the waiters and explained what happened and the waiter proceded to lift our meals from the other table and duly sat it in front of us. This was embarrassing and put us both in a position to eat it after it sat at another table for five minutes. We did not want the embarrassment or to embarrass the other large party next to us. Lastly my partner made the excuse to myself that she wasn't hungry after all and after two or three bites of her food decided she could not eat hers. Setting etc was perfect however both of us are extremely disappointed in our visit. Regards. Jim"

"In entering the restaurant there was very strong smell of drains. We thought maybe it was just at the entrance. When being let to our table the smelt continued but wasn’t as strong. Whilst waiting at the toilets a lady was complaining to me that she could smell the drains. I told her we could smell it too. The food was ok, very small portions for that we paid. Won’t go back."
