"It is hard to put into words how wonderful this restaurant is. The atmosphere is bright and inviting, with friendly staff. The menu is fantastic, offering a high-quality twist on traditional fish and chips. Don't be put off by the term "fish and chip shop" - the starters, salads, and sides are all made with fresh, top-notch ingredients and are very reasonably priced. The food here is truly outstanding. I will never look at mushy peas the same way again. Bring your friends here for a delightful culinary experience. And, as a bonus, the toilets are great too."

"The service at this restaurant was lacking, but the food was outstanding. We placed an order online for a mixed grill with house fries, a kebab with garlic sauce, and king prawns with rice. Unfortunately, the mixed grill was missing chips, the prawns didn't come with rice, and the kebab was sauce-less. When we called to address the issue, we were met with rudeness from a staff member who claimed we had ordered from the wrong menu. The manager eventually clarified the confusion caused by two different menus on Just Eat and their website, and offered a small gesture to apologize for the mistake. Despite the disappointing service, the food we did receive was exceptional. If they can improve their service and menu consistency, this restaurant has the potential to excel in terms of food quality."

"A small family celebration, Sunday dinner with daughter. Efficient online booking for the desired time. As always, the service was very good with welcome greeting on arrival. The court I chose was very good, although I think maybe the Vikings eat more than me, which meant no room for each of the tempting desserts. Good coffee to round off a very pleasant occasion."

"We spent £100 per room for our stay at this restaurant. Upon arrival, there was no staff to be found anywhere. We tried calling the number provided, but it was rejected three times. Even after texting, nobody showed up. We left and returned hours later, only to be shown to a very basic room. The bathroom was in poor condition with yellow stains around the taps, plug hole, and shower screen. The pillows were uncomfortable and gave us all headaches in the morning. The hotel was noisy both inside and outside. The food was overpriced, with fish and chips costing £13 and giving me a stomachache due to greasiness. We definitely would not choose to stay here again, even if it were free."

"I was pleased with the extensive menu choices at the restaurant. I selected the Mousaka as my main course and enjoyed it. However, I would have preferred my dessert to be served at room temperature instead of straight out of the refrigerator. The staff was friendly and attentive, but I mentioned my feedback about the cold dessert and they took it onboard, even offering a suggestion for a different dessert next time."

"This is not a glamorous restaurant it is a small, family run affair, a bit too brightly lit and in need of a few decorative flourishes, but the reviews are so good because despite the less than perfect surrounding the food is genuinely outstanding....I have eaten a lot of Greek food in Athens and the Islands, have many Greek friends and have visited the country over times. This food is exactly like what I have eaten there and in my friends homes. Tasty, rich without being overbearing, comforting, not greasy and totally fresh: and perfectly cooked. It's also reasonably priced. In my opinion it is much better than many way more expensive and celebrated Greek restaurants that serve greasy and tasteless Greek specialities I took my partner and our two kids and they all loved it. We had perfect deep fried calamari that is possibly the best I've ever had thick rings, fresh and tasty, just the right amount of light batter not those stringy thin frozen things sold in most places; spanakopita (spinach and feta fried pies) that were the perfect consistency and ratio of cheese to spinach; taramasalata that was not too creamy (but perhaps could have had a bit more lemon) and then the mains! A delicious chicken souvlaki and whole seabass, both grilled perfectly plainly fresh as can be and delicately seasoned; and a vegetarian Moussaka that was so authentic it took me right back to Greece, again, avoiding the over-greasy bland offerings of so many Greek places light, fluffy and gorgeous. All in all the meal was excellent I took what we didn't eat home and we had a second dinner tonight and it was just as good second time. I highly recommend this restaurant and have only not given it stars because, quite easily, they could make some significant improvements to the interior (dim the lighting for one) and possibly improve the wine list a little. But for Greek food I now know where I am going, everytime. I should point out that this is the first time I've been moved to write a review.."

"two main courses came with sauces, but they were both scanned. the ravioli was dried up as if it was sitting under the heating. I had asked that the aioli be kept from the starter, and this was for the chicken dish that was also missing in the sauce, although it was delicious and cooked the nice as I like it. the burger was on average. the desserts looked stylish, but surprised that the easy-care pineapple was served cold, as it had expected to be freshly cooked and therefore hot. very expensive for what was served. destined felt like a restaurant for captive overnight, instead of visiting a restaurant."

Despite arriving just before closing with our children (our own fault for being late), they were still able to prepare the most delicious shark chicken I have ever had. The staff asked me about the offer at least ten times, and they repeatedly requested my email confirmation—around eight times—before we were finally seated. "Really poor customer experience. We had just arrived to the city for a few days break, and after a long drive, and starting to explore the city, it was great to sit and have some food and a drink. Did not realise the customer experience would be so bad. Not given a menu after entering and being seated...had to ask for one after 5 minutes Gave a drinks order....never received it Asked another member of staff if we help ourselves to drinks from the cabinet was told no it will arrive to our table Gave a drinks order again to another member of staff ........ by now it was towards the end of our eating and we were nearly full. 40 minutes after entering. Outcome=no drinks (Whilst the above was going on the staff were pandering to their grown children seated at the back of the restaurant eating/drinking) Some people were seated and had no cutlery and they had to get up and squirrel them from another table. On the plus the food was good. Left feeling like they couldn't care less."

"The overall experience was very pleasant and we were well looked after and the' birthday boy' had some candles on his sweet, provides by the kitchen. The food was well presented and for the most part ,good value I will go there again but my disappointment was that the vegetarian option was limited to one fairly ordinary omelette and with my son's problems of allergy to mushrooms and dislike of fish , there was little flexibility in the limited menu. I may have mistakenly read the website menu, which seemed to suggest that there were three menu's to choose from rather than the one we received on arrival. If booking ,it would be worth checking by phone what the menu provides for the day of your choice, if there are allergy issues etc."

"We went to Xenia for my brothers birthday last Friday night had the all you can eat Rodizio. I have been to many other Rodizio restaurants before I have to say the put out buffet is one of the best iv been to. The meat started coming round there was some nice meat but a lot of the same came out at the start, after not that long the bringing of the meat REALLY slowed down then they started not bringing it to our table at all, I saw them bringing meat to other tables but not to ours. We still had our cards turned up to say we wanted more. Then without our cards being turned someone came over started trying to clear out plates! When we said no we weren’t finished he aplogized we got a few other things brought to us but still at a very slow pace, by this time we had been there ages so we kind of gave up. Iv never left a Rodizio restaurant still feeling a bit hungry I’m not a massive eater either, so although the food was nice I wouldn’t rush to go back"

"My partner treated me to a birthday lunch at Kipferl as we both love Käsespätzle which is a dish popular in his hometown of Voralberg in Austria. It is a dish we know well and eat often when there. Their menu promised the cheese was from Voralberg and we had high expectations for an authentic dish given this restaurant is meant to be authentically Austrian! Upon arriving we were seated quickly and ordered our meal in good time. We both ordered: käsespätzle and Kartoffel salat (Potato salad). My partner also ordered a soup of the day. Both of us had had a very light breakfast and were excited to enjoy one of our fave dishes again. The soup was watery and tasteless, made edible only by the sourdough bread. On reflection I wish we had ordered as we went along ... as this was a sure signal of the poor quality food emerging from the kitchen! When the Käsespätzle arrived the distinct cheese aroma was missing... first sign it was not what was promised. OMG! this was the WORST Käsespätzle EVER! Käsespätzle is made using four types of cheese (Käse) from the area of Voralberg This cheese is unique to Voralberg and the dish CANNOT be made without it! Without it the flavour and strongly distinct smell are missing. Whatever type of cheese they used it was definitely not the specific cheeses required for this dish The spätzle was disgusting. All you could taste was egg! The texture was wrong... it is meant to be small well formed kernels of spätzle dough instead it was soft and almost mashed... In no way did it resembled what we always eat when visiting Voralberg. The flavour, aroma and presentation was completely WRONG. The Kartoffel (potato) salad was just as awful too. Massive rounds of potato swimming in dressing. This is such a wonderful dish when made correctly... sadly this was my WORST birthday meal EVER! We were both incredibly disappointed esp. as several years ago we had tried Kipferl in Wes London (now closed) and the Käsespätzle was editle then. Clearly the chef doesn't know how to make this dish or just can't be bothered! We CANNOT recommend Kipferl as what they promise on their menu in terms of Käsespätzle is definitely NOT what it should be, not worth the price and a rip off. We were so disappointed that we ended up not having a pudding/cake and took our business elsewhere to L'Etro in London where the cakes were excellent and where I could have had a great birthday meal with my partner.. .incredibly disappointing!"

"First impression on walking into this restaurant within the college was a surprise at how smart, well furnished and decorated it is. Lovely comfortable chairs and well spaced tables. As good as any top class restaurant. The student staff were all smartly dressed with name tags and we were given a very warm welcome. There was a selection of fresh baked rolls waiting on the table for us. The menu, which changes regularly, had a choice of three dishes for each course and was very reasonably priced. A full wine list of wines by glass and bottle was also well priced. The food was excellent and very well presented. Altogether a great experience and we will definitely go again."
