"LOVED our dinner at Home. The service was friendly, welcoming and unpretentious. It was like arriving at a friends house where they poured a large glass of wine and put delicious bread and olives on the table. Felt at home from the start. I had the cucumber avant guard which was hard to describe even after eating it but the flavours were amazing. The green curry fried chicken was outstanding So much flavour. For mains we had pig cheeks which were delicious and the rump steak. The steak was unbelievable! It was melt in the mouth and cooked to perfection. It was also one of the largest steaks have ever been served and took 2 of us to eat. Should really have taken a doggy bag as would a have made amazing sandwiches next day. Didn’t really have room for pudding but wanted to try the plum tart which was so delicious. Wine was very reasonably priced for the quality and comes by glass . Will be finding reasons to be in Dumfries on Thursday or Friday again so can return"

"Updated again: The past 3 visits have been disappointing. Used to book out for cmas parties and unfortunately some ppl still use this as a 'big life events ' restaurant. The server was a man in his 50s that has definitely served me before. Our last visit was a woman who seemed new, she blamed poor food and service on covid. Last nights was working for a tip but made it clear he wasn 't enjoying serving us or any of the other tables. Food was moderate. Prime rib, crab and a few other things weren 't available and weren 't mentioned until after our menus had already been taken. One of my guests ordered king crab and received a snotty response about how he should know king crab hasn 't been available for the past 4 years (yet it 's on the menu? We ordered a bunch of appetizers and 3 feasts for the table. Steak was a small thin overcooked piece of tender delicious meat. Chicken was very dry and seafood didn 't taste even close to fresh (we tried every available option from the appetizer and main menu . We had to waive down the server for drinks every single time. After coming to Bailey 's for years it 's safe to say the atmosphere is still a great vibe but go for a drink or maybe an app and then head to a actual restaurant that wants your business for dinner and will bend over backwards for dietary restrictions. Bailey 's is NOT a very gluten-free option restaurant (which is 100% off their mark for pricing and menu . If I 'm going to a restaurant and having the crcd machine handed to me again where the tip options start at 18% of the after taxed total, it won 't be Bailey 's. And yes, I 'm aware of the custom option button but when you 're paying a bill near $1000 it 's pretty rude to assume you 'd be happy to tip 18% on the taxes too, also to mention it 's low brow to have suggested amounts at a restaurant that once was as iconic as Baileys. Looking forward to seeing an episode of Gordon Ramsay 's restaurant rehab on it one day. There is no way this place is making money anymore. Don 't bother responding as the manager. My opinion was earned and not changeable with a gift card for another subpar experience."

"Absolutely incredible service at the Spring Grove. We got married here on Easter Weekend with 75 guests. From start to finish the service was wonderful Ed and Rebecca were really communicative and fully on board with all of our ideas for the day in the planning stages. The menu choices were really broad with something for everyone. The team were all really flexible, opening up for us to get in the morning of the wedding and set up. All of our guests commented on how fantastic the food was, everything was really fresh and all of the staff were so lovely and hospitable throughout the day. We couldn't have asked for a better day thank you so much to everyone at the Spring Grove for all you did for us!"

"This restaurant is perfect for grabbing drinks any day of the week, with special entertainment nights also offered. The food is good value, and there are pay car parks nearby for convenient parking. Plus, it's located close to the Abbey church."

"After sitting through a symposium about Korean Cinema, the newd for Korean food become essential. Using the Urbanapoon app, my friend and I decided upon the very busy Myung Ga in Soho. Whilst the decor and service could probably do with some attention, the food most certainly does not. I has the most delicious beef dish in ages here, the European favourite: Ganjang Bokum (beef in soy sauce), served with rice and washed down with an OB lager and a bottle of Soju. My friend (a vegetarian) ordered an amazingly tasty dish: Dolsot Bibimbap which after trying I can safely say I will be having on my next visit. Prices are reasonable for London and I would highly recommend this establishment to...read more"

"**Tip #2:** Be sure to ask the bartender about the hamburgers. When we walked in, she mentioned they had them, but they weren’t listed on the menu. **Tip #3:** The menus you find online don't reflect what’s actually being served, so don't be surprised! I regret not snapping a photo. **Pros:** One standout feature is a wall dedicated to service personnel who have signed their names—this truly embodies the spirit of a small town! While the menu is limited to sandwiches, salads, a couple of appetizers, and a few desserts, everything we tried was expertly prepared. The bread was soft and freshly baked, and the meats were flavorful. The presentation was decent as well. Remember those delicious shoestring fries that used to be everywhere? They’ve made a comeback here! After we seated ourselves and while waiting for our server, the chef kindly brought out a sample of some brisket he was working on. My husband thought it was excellent, although I found it a bit strange that a random guy just dropped some cuts of meat on our table without any introduction. My husband ordered the brisket au jus sandwich, which he raved about as being moist and having the perfect hint of smokiness. The Italian sandwich was surprisingly delightful as well, featuring fresh rosemary ciabatta, thinly sliced meats and cheeses, shredded lettuce, and thinly sliced tomatoes—clearly made with a lot of care. And for a bit of fun, there’s live karaoke on Saturday nights! **Cons:** We did have to wait a few moments for the bartender to remember we were ready to order, even though we were the only customers in the bar at that time. While our food was served promptly, we weren’t offered silverware, napkins, or condiments. My husband had to go to the bar and patiently wait until he was acknowledged to ask for those items. The shoestring fries were tasty, but when they arrived, the excess grease was a bit overwhelming. And as for the live karaoke... need I say more?"

"My husband, nephew and I visited Olives recently. I had been here once before and really liked it so decided to give it another go. Antipasti with Mozzarella was a feast which we struggled to finish. My main course was tuna which was light, fresh and tasty. The boys had the steak which came with rosemary potatoes and mixed peppers. Wine, 2 bottles!, was chosen by my husband, a really good M D'Abruzzo. The service by Lucio and Arianna was very good. A substantial meal for 3 for £140 was good value for what we ate. I will be visiting a third time.here once before and really liked it so decided to give it another go. "This place is a gem!! Truly amazing menu, very unique. They have everything from sandwiches to pasta to salads and soups. Awesome cocktail list, and any kind of fresh fruit lemonade (including huckleberry and mango). The sweet potato fries are cut huge and thick. The onion rings are huge and crispy and come with a ground mustard and yummy tartar. The garlic fries were so bomb! I had the prime rib dip. The prime rib was cut perfectly and had a little bit of crisp to it. The bread was a little bit sweet for me but its made fresh. But the bread was delicious and my mom's crossant looked phenomenal. They have desserts too and fresh loaves of bread you can buy. They also sell their suicide hot sauce that I didn't get to taste. The environment is so chic and homey. Its like sweet homey vintage pinup style. I will totally be back. The service was fantastic and our waiter, who I really wanna day her name was Brenda, she got everything on our order perfectly, even with modifications. Food was timely and hot! And the management was around often to make sure everything was going smoothly. Truly it was an amazing experience and I truly recommend going out of the way to visit."
