Juicy, tender, slow-roasted beef with rich flavors, often served with au jus and horseradish sauce.

"We booked for Thanksgiving dinner here as it was a feature of their restaurant and we were here on Holiday during Thanksgiving. Booking was easy, but required a 20 pound deposit that had to be made via filling out a PDF and emailing back. It was in a cool part of the city and the decoration was irreverent, but not overstated and had a lovely family atmosphere. Waitresses were more than nice, albeit a little spread thin. O can't speak the the typical food, but the Thanksgiving menu was very much aligned with the traditional American meal. It's hard to know if it was my American tastebuds or not, but the meal seemed to be a little heavy handed in seasoning. The gravy instead of being rich and comforting was a little vinegary. The turkey was well cooked without being overcooked (still tender/juicy). Cranberry sauce was DELIGHTFUL, and the veg was average. The dessert missed the mark as the pecan pie was over-baked, but came with a little American flag, so points for style. The squash soup was my favorite with strong garlic overtones and a truffle oil finish. Can't speak to the drinks as I am unable to drink alcohol for now. Would love the opportunity to try the regular menu, and would come back just for the atmosphere."

"We enjoyed the pre-theater menu with the kids, and the children's menu was excellent. The service was outstanding, and the pre-theater menu included a lovely glass of Prosecco, which I typically don't enjoy, but this one was quite nice, especially thanks to my ticket booking offer. I had some delicious wings and a fantastic steak, while the kids opted for burgers. Everything was great, and we left very happy!"

"It was nice but nothing more. The food reasonable but not good value. We were a party of two and one of the mains came up with a long black hair on it and instead of removing all the food whilst a replacement was being cooked, my main and the sides were left on the table for the 10-15 minutes it took to replace so was cold. The server did all he could but the manager was nowhere to be seen. Two happy hour drinks were removed from the bill as a gesture. You can eat at much better places in London for less."

"tastefully ordered. good acoustics. most of our foods were exquisite. the personal was efficient and knowledgeable about the foods./ tuna tartar was beautiful with its pink and green thema. coarsely minced thunfisch and avocado in a yuzu wasabi dressing. some may consider it a bit salty, but not for my taste. perfect temperature, not served too cold. pretty garnishes of thin cut, slightly pickled gurken and radishes. some scarves of deep roasted rice paper, sprinkled with beet-root powder, added crunch and color./Lachs-Sushi-Burger were two small cakes of compressed deep roasted rice, which formed a bungalow. in between was a good puppet player of tasty salmon star. new, but beautiful. served with a selection of pickles. müll, beet, radishes and cucumber.Aubergine in miso was beautiful. Firm bites of peeled aubergine dripping with a sweet mists sauce and scattered with mandelflakes roasted to a quite aggressive shade of brown. the slightly bitter edge was a beautiful contrast to the sweet of the sauce. another fine balance of aromen and textures./ the only dish that was not great was the tempura soba. I prefer this dish served with the tempura on the side to dip into the broth and noodles. I would recommend ordering it that way. No matter how brilliant the tempura is when it sits on a bowl of suppe, the texture is finally soggy and incessant. large selection of luxury birds in tempoura. fine haricot vert, spargel, enoki mushrooms and sweet potato. vegetarian consisted of kombu, mirin and soy was a little boring. I would have preferred a classic dashi with Bonito flakes, but that would not have made the court vegetarian./ I will be back in any case, but will give the suppening a misunderstanding as our server told us that they are all made with the same vegetarian broth."

"it's not my favorite atmosphere. music is quite loud, and the acoustic is uncompromising due to a lot of hard surfaces (stone on the walls, polished concrete and mosaic tile on the floor.) better suited for lunch, or a rough night with colleagues than an evening dinner date. but it was really good to eat. for the meat we had portions from the thin liquid piece menu. I had a black and a lamb cut. my companion had sirloin steak and the lamb T bone. all well carved on a very hot wood charcoal grill. they do not ask how they want to do their flesh, and lamb and bark are rarely served what suits me. if they are squealous about it (like my companion) they should indicate that they want the meat made medium. we had the green sauce that was similar to a chimchurri or salsa verde. the nice sides were all excellent. fantastic bark drops chips. incredibly crispy on the outside and tasty inside. large dive in Chili-Hollandaise, which was more like a very rich chili-chomo (not warm as a real hollandaise.) the chips were so great that we asked for a second order. the other veggies were grilled courgette, chicory with stylton as well as grilled baby precious stones with screw drops. definitiw a thema of vegetables with olive oil doused, cut edges over hot coals darkened and then sprinkled with a little salty. a good idea, and I will try both dishes at home on the grill pan. the house red at £23 for a 700 ml carafe was an excellent tempranillo. a real cut over most house wines. wein was on the house because I booked with the softlaunchfail offer for subscribers in their mailing list that did not manage to get a table during the reduced soft start. our price-performance fee with service was £38."

"We went to this restaurant after looking for a place near Piccadilly Theatre for a birthday celebration before seeing Moulin Rouge. We had read positive reviews here and on Google, so we made a reservation for 5:30 before the 7:30 show. We were led down the steps to our table in the cozy, bustling space. A bottle of tap water was placed on our table along with the menus, and a staff member guided us through the menu, which was helpful. We decided to order the All In option, which was a great choice. We enjoyed the little amuse bouche starter bombes. The main course was impressive, especially for meat lovers. The chips were good, but the kale and parmesan side was a bit disappointing as the kale was too raw. We mentioned that it was a birthday celebration in our booking, and this led to a nice surprise. We were debating whether to order a starter in addition to the All In, and although we decided against it, our waitress Paulina overheard our conversation and added a mushroom on sourdough starter to our order as a complimentary gesture. It was a fantastic touch and we really appreciated it. We ended the meal with a delicious bread and butter pudding. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience with great service from Paulina and a staff that seemed to genuinely enjoy their work. Plus, it was less than a 5-minute walk to Piccadilly Theatre. Thank you for a wonderful evening."

"this restaurant found on this app so decided to try it. the menu is fantastic. I had Venison-Loin, which was cooked for perfection. the atmosphere was very relaxed. do not get exposed by the higher than average trips, because portion sizes are excellent, food quality is excellent and the service is excellent. good every penny worth."

"Decided to go to Christophers for the brunch we had heard that the chocolate brioche French toast was worth trying. It was yummy ! I wasn't able to finish mine but I think most people would be able to. We had coffee and tea also. We did contemplate ordering the pancakes but we were too full! It wasn't too busy at all, considering it was half term.... it was a Wednesday though so perhaps that's why. We did call ahead as we were running 5 minutes late, the staff were understanding. The service was quick and the vibe inside was quite chilled. I do think they should have a better drinks menu and offer more savoury vegetarian options for breakfast as they only had avocado on toast. Another couple left in a huff as they wanted pancakes and they were only available on the weekend menu. Maybe this is something that could be adjusted? Other than that a good experience, I would visit again!"

"Very welcoming staff. Service quick and efficient. Good choice of menu. We chose scallops and cod cheek dishes for starters. The former was outstanding, the cod cheeks in coating a little dry but still enjoyable. Both of us had the halibut dish as mains with sides of greens and Comber potatoes. Absolutely first rate. The bean cassoulet and asparagus were perfect accompaniments. Only minor criticism was the deep, small bowl the course was served in. It made it hard to eat the food easily. The desserts we chose were pear tartin and the chocolate fondant special. Again first rate dishes. The young chef, Peepa, in charge of the desserts should be congratulated for creating such wonderful dishes. The fondant was one of the best I have ever tasted. Overall a superb meal at a reasonable price."

"recently after the change of property my family went to dinner in the Korean restaurant and the workers, eating, presentation was super and atmosphere were full of traces! each individual dish had this authentic Korean taste that I know from experience (as I lived in uk over 20 years and Korea visited every couple of years! that I could only get them from korea alone, but this restaurant is all from Britain. I had a tofu stew/soup, with dolsot bibimbab and glazed. I finished every single dish completely without rest! will visit again in the future. Thank you."

"restaurant of the intercontinental lisbonne, located on the ground floor. relatively small restaurant compared to the 300 rooms of the hotel. service excellent special mention to pedro and elisabeth for their smiles, availability and patience with children map relatively simple offering only a limited choice. Everything was great, maybe I'll advise to increase the size of the dishes a little bit. Thanks to the whole team"

"Booked a table for Friday 20th May 630pm, received confirmation from OpenTable, get all the way there only to find it closed. Luckily found a lovely restaurant round the corner and if and when black and irons opens again I probably won't bother trying it"

"Yesterday, my husband and I went to this restaurant for breakfast and I have to say, it was the best breakfast I've ever had. We both ordered the smashed avocado on ciabatta with poached eggs, chorizo sausage, and bacon. We will definitely be returning for more breakfasts and are excited to try their evening menu, which looks equally incredible. The staff were very helpful and exceptionally friendly. We absolutely adored this place."

"I’ve eaten at Larder House many times before and the food has always been phenomenal and worth every penny. However I recently went for my birthday to find out they are now tapas only. Which isn’t a problem but the menu wasn’t very clear and neither was the wine menu. The girl working didn’t have much idea to any of the menu when we asked her questions on the food. When our food came out we were super disappointed. Nothing tasted out standing. Was all very simple and pretty tasteless to be honest. All of us find this we’re all extremely disappointed. Me more so as it was for my birthday and I had said how amazing the food was but it was nothing of the sort. When we said we weren’t happy with the taste of some of the bits we had ordered. (We left half of what we had ordered). The chef came out to tell we were wrong and implied we had bad taste buds. There was never once a sorry that you are upset with how the food was it was very much we are right and you’re wrong and the comment about having not experienced good food was the final straw. I will not be coming back here again after that experience. Waste of money. Plenty of other better quality restaurants in Southbourne and with a lot less attitude."

"Had a few friends round here for an evening meal to celebrate my 60th birthday. I knew it would be exactly what I wanted and I wasn't disappointed. My guests had never been here before, and were very impressed with the quality of the food and the smiley service. We all enjoyed the traditional pub atmosphere, and it is within a short walk from home, so perfect! Thank you for helping to make my special day a lovely one."

"Despite having made a reservation in advance, we were kept waiting for 30 minutes by the entrance. The restaurant had a vibe more reminiscent of a teenage bar, with cramped tables that were too close to each other. The music was blaring, making it difficult to communicate with each other or the waiter. The food was below average, with our starters taking over 30 minutes to arrive. The mussels were passable, but the duck was overcooked. Our main course, the chateaubriand, turned out to be a poorly cooked piece of steak. We had ordered fries but received frozen chips instead. The only redeeming aspect of our dining experience was the elderly Italian waiter, who was very helpful. Despite our complaints, we were only offered a 20% discount, which did little to make up for our overall poor experience. We had expected a high-end dining experience, but this restaurant fell far short of establishments like The Butcher Shop, Grill on the Corner, or Porter Rye. I would recommend avoiding this restaurant altogether."

"the personal was so friendly and flexible. we also forgot to say that we had food intolerances in the group. the personal was so understanding and went out of the way to come with options. it really did not seem like hate for them that they really provide good food to enjoy and we did. we were 3 times for Sunday dinner and always good and have recently changed the Veg option. no problem. talk with the cook. two options. prepare a Veggie option from ground on. as it will take a little longer, they proposed a few free brot (yummy) to continue? we're coming back."

"Let’s start with the good. Menu is good and our server was very nice. The rest was just awful. My wife ordered a salad with extra tomatoes. The salad shows up with 1/2 a spoonful of tomatoes. She also ordered broccoli as a side. It shows up cold. I ordered a French Dip sandwich. The prime rib was so undercooked it was disgusting. I asked for well done crispy fries. I received lukewarm undercooked fries. I ordered coleslaw. After mentioning that it didn’t come out with my meal, it comes 15 minutes later. We asked to speak with the manager. She gives us a $25 voucher for the next time (which is useless since we’re traveling and don’t have a location in our state). She also gives us a free piece of chocolate cake with ice cream. My wife asked to leave the ice cream off. The cake shows up with ice cream. The chocolate cake was some strange concoction that tasted like mush. This was certainly the worst restaurant that I’ve been to in 10 years. No exaggeration… just awful"
