"Had a really fun evening here and enjoyed the cocktails, wine and food. Think the cheese portions are a little small for the price and they were not described to us on presentation which was a shame. Not sure why we only qualified for one Happy Hour cocktail when we ordered several within the hour but as I was entertaining, I did not want to raise the issue in front of my guest. Despite these one or two things, a really enjoyable evening spent in a nice place and would happily return."

"I finally tried Cote after hearing so many great recommendations from friends, and it did not disappoint. The venue is beautiful, and the staff is both friendly and attentive. I visited on my birthday, making it even more special. We all opted for the fixed menu, and I must say that the food was excellent and reasonably priced. I enjoyed a glass of Malbec that paired wonderfully with my meal. I will definitely be returning. Thank you once again for a wonderful experience!"

"The welcome was good the service average. The bread served which is not complimentary, was too hard and not served warm. The Calamari was tasty and the mains portion of Chicken plentiful. One of the mains out of 3 was brought to the table half way through starter. We waited a long time to order our dessert. 80% of the staff seemed to be more wrapped up in flirting and joking with each other rather than seeming attentive to customers. It was not rush hour dinner service at this point so perhaps they wanted to have fun before the rush! Although it was very obvious the 20% of staff did not want to be tarnished with the same brush unfortunately couldn’t carry off an overall good service. I would not return here for dinner, but would come back for an unplanned lunch! Thank you."

"Had two excellent meals at this restaurant in the heart of Oxford. The welcome and service we received from Sam and his staff was terrific the extent that we decided to have another evening there for our last of three nights in Oxford. We reserved a table for 7-30 but arrived to find the restaurant packed as many were eating prior to going to the theatre. In spite of the crowds Sam spotted us as soon as we walked through the door and led us to our table. (the only one vacant) The service was exemplary, professional and very friendly, even though we had not been served by the same waiter the young lady from the first night made a point of coming and saying hello once the theatre crowds had left. The food was of an equally high standard and served timely in spite of the restaurant being so busy. Sam came when we asked for the bill and chatted to us and the bill was very reasonable. I would point out that we never left a tip as there was a 10% service charge less than other restaurants in Oxford. I rarely write reviews on restaurants but our visits to this restaurant were exceptional."

"The starters were fine and per usual for Cote. We also ordered two fillet steaks a minute steak and a chicken Palladian salad. One of the fillet steaks came over cooked and the minute steak was too overly salty. Sent both these back. The minute steak on its return was still too salty, but what to do? The fillet was cooked to order this time but my daughter did not enjoy the taste. My chicken salad was supposed to have a tarragon dressing, the reason why I ordered, this was not my first time with this salad, I’ve had it before and knew it’s taste. This salad tasted different at first I thought I had ordered wrong and kept eating but towards the end OE as sure it should have a distinct tarragon flavour. I thought something was amiss until I realized the tarragon was just not there. When I questioned, the manger went and got the dressing from the chef and said this is the dressing we put on the salad. I am pretty sure in the past this salad had a more creamier tarragon flavour, where the dressing was emulsified. But this dressing he showed me was nothing like that. It also didn’t taste of tarragon. But he insisted that it was tarragon. I should have asked him to taste it, or another client to confirm the taste, but to me it was absolutely flavourless."

"Wow, what a place. I've been in a hell of a lot of coffee/cafes in my time but this place to me takes top of the league. The staff are absolutely fantastic always taking your orders with a happy smile and a welcome greeting. The food and drinks we had were fantastic, good homely cooking. The toilet was well cared for very clean. We have used this place a few times now as we stopped off in our boat in the marina opposite the Deli. The Deli has wonderful views across Poole harbour to Brownsea island. Would we come back to the Deli? Most definitely looking forward to our next visit next year."

"My friend and I chose the fixed price/pre-theatre menu at this restaurant on a Monday night. The restaurant was busy, but we were seated promptly when we arrived at 6:30. We were initially given the Christmas menu and the a la carte menu, but had to ask for the fixed price menu. We both opted for the 3-course meal for £20.95, which we found to be good value. My pear salad starter was decent, although it had hardly any pear, it was still tasty. The steak frites main course was very good, with a large thin steak cooked nicely. For dessert, we had plum clafoutis with ice cream, which was also enjoyable. I also had a large glass of rose, which was very drinkable. Overall, it was an enjoyable meal and good value, especially for London."

"Started with a warm welcome on arrival. As we were early we decided to have a quiet drink outside before taking our table. We were instantly issued with a menu and within 5 minutes asked if we were ready to order? Clearly a lack on communication from staff! We were shown to our table by a waitress who was not very engaging. She took our drinks order and left. She returned a few minutes later to take our food order. I wanted steak and pepper sauce, only to be told they didn’t have an peppercorn sauce? This is at the early sitting so was very surprised. I asked could the chef not make this as it isn’t that difficult but told that was the case and I had to order something different! Her table service didn’t improve from there. She brought a bottle of water and poured 2 glasses spilling most on it on the table, banged the bottle on the table and walked away. The starters were nice, but the mains were not very well cooked and it was very disappointing. We didn’t even get asked if everything was OK whilst we were eating It was only when another waitress cleared the table we were asked if everything was OK which I replied that it was just OK. She sensed from my tone that it wasn’t, and mentioned this to the first waitress. When we were presented with the bill we were told they had knocked the drinks off without any explanation? When I presented her with cash she told us she couldn’t give any change! So the bill was paid in full without any service charge (which was on the bill! Clearly not the experience we were hoping for but will not be visiting another one of this chain again!,"

"I wanted this place to imagine everything, I guess it started bad when the metal chairs were too cold to sit and the door was left open casually. Unfortunately, the selection of cake was not better than you could buy in the cold section of tesco’s. the cakes were inspiring and had no deep, clear nothing to house and I would definitely think of changing suppliers. the latte was unnoticed and the tee was a cheap double tee bag for unacceptable in this day and age. Unfortunately, this was opened with the tourist understanding that has no expectations and improves the idea of the insensitive English food. so a shame to avoid all costs, there are so many better places...more"

"The most amazing dining experience I have had to date. Fantastically attentive staff who were on the ball every step of the way, I never had an empty glass and learnt a little bit about every meal! The fact that nearly every course had a tableside event just made it that bit more special. Every bit of food presented was stunning bith visually and to taste! If I could, I would eat here every day for the rest of my life! Well done to every single member of staff who worked as a well oiled machine from start to finish! The hand written birthday card and goodie bag to take away were fantastic treats!"

"This was not my first time at Côte Brasserie, Canterbury and I was not disappointed. A minor irritation was the delay after ordering pre-drinks for my guest, it eventually arrived after a reminder. The food was hot, well presented and wholesome. A memorable experience as both I and my guest were celebrating our respective birthdays"

"The Goose on the Green is a delightful little cafe in the charming little village of Gullane. The cakes are delicious the caramel shortcake is so thick and gooey it is served with a fork! Coffee was fine too. A little bit pricey but to be expected in Gullane. Service was good and friendly. Dog friendly too. Vegetarian options: There are several vegetarian options available. Wheelchair accessibility: There are no steps so wheelchair access shouldn't be a problem."

"The “beef three ways” was beautifully presented on a wooden platter. The steak was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The cylinder of compressed pulled beef cheek was just as delicious and coated in crispy panko breadcrumbs, providing a delightful textural contrast. The little pot of baby onions and slow-cooked beef was absolutely divine, rich and buttery. The chips were the best I have ever tasted, surpassing even those at Ynyshir. Our waitress, Evelyn-May, was a true delight. She handled the lighthearted banter from two older gentlemen with ease and made us feel welcome and cared for. We couldn’t help but admire her hair! I’m already planning a second visit, despite the long journey from Northern Ireland, so my wife can experience this wonderful little restaurant. All I ask is that Ed can promise to prepare the same dish to the same high standard."

"We’ve been coming this tearoom for the past 50 years. We always have toasted tea cakes and tea. Today we ordered these as usual and the order was accepted. The tea came more-or-less straight away. However, we waited for ages for our tea cakes. Eventually the waiter came back to serve people at an adjacent table. We asked what had happened to our tea cakes. He said “Oh we don’t do tea cakes.” So why did he accept the order and why do they still call it a tea shop when they don’t serve tea cakes? Not impressed. I don’t think we’ll be coming back."

"Absolutely beautiful place with amazing views however very poor customer service due to having to use apps. We went last week with parents and found that we cannot go to the bar to order. As parents are older they cannot work the app, and when we joined and went to order it then took us 10/15 mins to do so via the app and therefor ignoring our guests whilst we did this. I HAVE HAD TO DO THE JOB OF A WAITER/WAITRESS FOR THEM TO GET MY TRADE WHEN THIS IS WHAT YOU PAY FOR WHEN GOING OUT FOR A MEAL When going for a meal it is also the customer service and customer interaction from waiters and bar staff which is enjoyed and not an experience where I would of got the same service at McDonald's. When the food arrived, we were all given our dishes and cutlery put on the table along with sachets of 1 type of sauce, the waitress then left, not asking if there was anything else we'd like or checking that we were happy with what we'd received. I work in hospitality and am a local I'd heard good things in the past about the bowgie inn, but our experience was very poor with no customer service no atmosphere. Won't be returning due to this."

" pretty good. The selection is decent and the ingredients are fresh. However, the cakes at Blanche Eatery are not up to par. They were disappointing and lacking in flavor. Overall, while the salads are a safe bet, I would not recommend trying the cakes here."
