"If one goes to eat somewhere with a French name it is not unreasonable to expect it to be largely french. We had a Korean sommelier who was abrupt and hardly spoke to us . We were with some French speaking guests and we were at least assigned an excellent French speaking waiter from Nice. This made the difference in our overall experience. The food was good , although the toast with the salmon starter was burnt. The French fries with the main were over salted and inedible. Are you trying to be a French Brasserie or are you pretending? If you are a Brasserie then charge Brasserie prices and not restaurant prices and get a French sommelier if you think a Brasserie needs one!!! As a Mayfair restaurant the owners would do well to look at the entrance . The awning is discoloured and looking very dirty and tired. Overall the staff were polite and attentive."

"Excellent place to eat! Like many other reviews, I really enjoyed dining here. I went for lunch and had the lamb chops and a cup of tea. The lamb chops were perfectly cooked and deliciously seasoned, and the accompanying potatoes and beans were also well cooked. The service was excellent very friend and attentive staff! There aren’t many good places to eat in this area, but I would definitely recommend coming here."

"An absolute hype of a restaurant customer service from the start was awful. Having arrived to celebrate my daughters 9th birthday, we were seated and before we had even all sat down the waiter was hovering to take our drinks order, once we ordered drinks we asked for still water they gave us sparkling, and reluctantly changed it. The bill was an astonishing £135 for 4 pizzas and fries, 3 drinks and a bottle of water. Would I rate the pizza's.. definitely not, a high street pizza chain pizza is much nicer. There was no effort to even make the day special for a child. I would definitely not go back."

"This is my second time here, the first time I went I ordered a large ice coffee and to my surprise it was hot coffee with a large scoop of vanilla ice cream (it was delicious). This was in May of 2017. I am back visiting in Scotland and tried to order the same thing again and they said they couldn 't do it. Which is strange because there is ice cream on their menu. They just gave me a regular iced coffee with ice. I also got a chewy meringue and it was delicious (pictured in the photo). I was pretty disappointed that I couldn 't get the ice cream coffee however I still recommend it. It 's a very cute spot and you 're steps away from the water with an amazing view."

"During 2020, Eddy’s is takeaway only. Prices are still quite significant but this we expected. We all had an Eddy’s breakfast the other morning that was a fair size and all cooked nicely, we couldn’t fault it and so today we decided to have sausage and chips and what a mistake that was as they were horrendous! My kids have voted them 3/10 which is poor coming from them. We were the only customers at the time and paid £26 and what was served up was sausages that had burst open and had continued to be cooked for too long so were literally rock hard, the fish itself was delicious but the batter certainly wasn’t ‘beer battered’ as advertised. We got back to the caravan and were so disappointed and definitely wouldn’t purchase again. It’s a lot of money to spend for poor food and I’m so disappointed that the women behind the counter actually served those sausages up as I’m certain they would not have served them to us inside the restaurant if it was open as they looked so terrible. Just because it’s takeaway and food is wrapped up at the moment does not mean the standard of service or food should be below par. Really disappointed."

"Have been going to this place for a while and prices aren’t cheap. When I asked to waitress for the middle section of chocolate brownie dont like the edge pieces she said no? The cake would break apart? Doesn’t make any sense? What would happen if I wanted 2 or more slices? Went to Starbucks that same day and asked for a fresh piece of cake didn’t want the one on display and the waitress said “no problem “ This is the kind of service that you expect!! Such a shame. I really wanted to support independent businesses like Ahmisa but very Disappointed with this service won’t be going back especially after paying £14 in total."

"Visited after seeing previous reviews and wasn't disappointed. My partner and I had the vegan seitan roast and my meat eating mum had the nut roast and said it was delicious. The oat milk chai latte was one of the nicest I've tasted. Great choice of food, lovely, friendly staff and a chilled out atmosphere. As a vegan it was lovely to have so much choice and would definitely recommend a visit. We wished we had room for dessert as the sweet stuff looked amazing too. Dietary restrictions: Great choice for vegans and meat eaters won't be disappointed"

"After visiting another local venue that had not food to offer, we came here. Well, what a pleasent little place, attentive staff, great service and food to match. Chefs special which I enjoyed was the Beef Bourgugnon, my friends had fish and chips and burgers which were all clean plates by the end. Prices were fantastic for the quality. Thanks to our servers Declan and Alice for a great meal. Nice to meet locals who are not little gremlins that fester nearby."

"Sorry, but I have found the service to have gone from bad to worse in this place. Food is lovely and I keep returning hoping my last experience was down to staff shortage or something along those lines. I travel a distance to eat here and today I took my daughter who works in hospitality. I warned her before hand that the service isn’t great but the food is good. Today, I was really embarrassed as it was the worst that is ever been. My daughter was appalled by the rudeness of the young girl who served us and how frantic the young guy was that was literally doing everything on his own. After a 45 minute wait for our drinks order that were taken by the young girl, we were served by what looked like the KP. The state of the toilets are an absolute disgrace too with the toilet seat literally broken right off the toilet and totally filthy. I overheard people say at the table next to me that they wanted to leave and that the young girl servers attitude was bad. It seams there is no love from management for the place at all which is a real shame as it continues to spirals downhill with every visit I make. Today is definitely my last. Management, needs to take note. Serving lovely food will keep you afloat for a short while. Please do something asap about the dreadful service or you will fold no matter how nice your food is."

"Service wasn't great al all . The main dIsh, pizzas, arrive before starter The focaccia was flat bread. It was 4 of us and 1 of the pizzas arrive after the other 3 had already finished eating and the waitress removed the plates, leaving one of us eating on his own Nice pizza but over rated and over prized. There was a DJ playing and the music and the noise from the bar was so loud we couldn't even talk."

"Been going to this pub for 10 years without a disability blue badge! As soon as I arrived I was unwelcome and bullied for being disabled for parking on a double yellow line that I’m authorised to do so, then I was picked on for having a diesel car instead of an electric car after defending my disability I was told that my attitude wasn’t welcome after explaining why I’m disabled I was asked to prove my disability by the owner of the pub I asked to be left alone to finish my pint in peace and leave without feeling bullied and intimidated by customers, staff and the owner of this business. I’m gay too so obviously homophobic I suggest avoiding this business and go somewhere else! As a market research interviewer (mystery shopper) I’m Disgusted at the attitude, discrimination and homophobia at the cricketers at Redbourn the owner of this business should be ashamed of himself He shouldn’t be running a pub his Hospitality customer service are shocking to say the least and he needs retraining to be customer focused. I won’t be recommending I’ll be telling everyone how shallow they are to pick on a gay disabled man"

"The staff here are incredibly friendly, and you definitely get your money's worth, especially with the ice cream! "I was concerned that I had an email in the morning to say my booking had been cancelled. After many attempts I was able to speak to someone about it only to be told it had not been cancelled but I had booked twice. Thinking about this I may have emailed with the request for a booking as well as booking on open table. I assumed it would have been realised that I only required one table In the process of trying to sort the matter out I kept on being told to go to open table and follow the links. Doing this was themost unhelpful and frustrating thing and no help whatsoever. The problem is a computer can’t think and the programme needs sorting out GillPratt"

"We often grab a coffee whilst heading to the beach for a dog walk; and we’ve been meaning to try out the food. I was gutted to bring my friend and to be so disappointed in a time where eating out is a treat. I ordered American pancakes after 25 minutes was told there were no blueberries as ordered, but was offered strawberries instead which I was ok with. What I got was two tiny pancakes, with ONE strawberry and 4 slices of banana. My friend had avo on toast and got one slice of cheap thin bread. Not at all what I had seen advertised on instagram and not value for money at all. The pro’s of this place are: Lovely setting/ interior design and outside space very dog friendly nice coffee and cakes to take away nice to see several veggie options Sadly, I doubt I will bother with food here again, which with limited places to eat in the area (especially out of season) is a shame."

"The food at this restaurant is of excellent quality, the ambiance is pleasant, and the staff is friendly. I have visited before for Sunday lunch and had a great experience. I brought friends last night to celebrate my 60th birthday, and although one of our party is very picky about his steak (I have seen him send it back at many places), he couldn't find any fault with it this time. He not only finished his meal without complaint, but he also didn't leave any leftovers. I would highly recommend this place."
