"It 's a nice place with a good atmosphere, I like the decor and the staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. It 's great they have separate Gluten-free and Vegan menus as well as dishes that cross over both. Purely on service this would be a 5 star review, unfortunately the food, especially the main corses really let in down and with the price, it was hard to shift the disappointment. I spent just under £100 on two adults and one child (including the service charge automatically added on We had tapas and two mains which just about filled us as the portions are on the smaller side. The tapas was definitely better than the mains but in my opinion, unfortunately still unimaginative, underwhelming and overpriced. The edamame and tofu was quite nice along with the falafel, the fish cakes were tasty but the rest was pretty forgettable. The gin was delicious though, washed it all down a treat, go for the gin. The mains were just confusing. The seabass was nice but the chips that came with it seemed undercooked and bland. The pan fried chicken on coleslaw was strange, it didn 't go down well, we all tried some but just ended up picking the chicken off and leaving the rest. Chicken on coleslaw with peanuts for £17.50 that 's one to go back to the drawing board in my opinion. (I make no apologies for awful puns or honest reviews. I went in to check it out as i was going to book a table for my birthday because of the different menu 's and options but i think it 's best to stick to drinks there and tapas if I 'm particularly peckish but i wouldn 't go out of my way to go to eat there again."

"Overall 4/5 My main course which was a seafood pasta came out barely luke warm and when I told the waitress, she apologised and took it back to the kitchen to have it reheated. I specifically said that I'm happy if the kitchen just put it in the microwave to heat it up (I'm not a fussy customer, but would like to have my food hot). When the dish came back out the second time, there was genuinely no difference to the temperature. Being British I just ate the food as by this point my guests were already halfway through their main and I was only just starting! After I've finished the meal, I went up to the same waitress and left her my feedback regarding the dish. She was very apologetic and asked if I wanted to speak to the manager. I didn't want to get anyone into trouble so I kindly declined the offer. When it came to dessert time, I fancied having their special G&T whilst my guests had something sweet. When the drink was delivered, the same waitress said to me that she's told her manager of my experience, she apologised again and said that the G&T was complimentary, as a way of saying sorry. I was pleasantly surprised that they actually did something to rectify this. I thanked her and the manager before I've left and felt a lot better, not because of the complimentary drink but because they acknowledged the issue and found a happy medium to move on from the situation. Overall, it started weak and disappointing but the evening was saved by the floor staff taking their initiatives and tried their best to make things right. Hopefully next time my pasta will be steaming hot, especially with the weather changing now! Kevin"

"Vasco Piero 's is a bit of a Soho institution not at all trendy and mainly overlooked by the 'foodie ' scene but much loved by those who simply want a restaurant that serves good food they can rely on time and again. I have been twice so far. The first time I was invited and we had four courses plus bread before we even had our main. I was so full I couldn 't finish my beautiful tagliatelle with speck, pistachio and cream. We had some seeded bread, salmon pate on bread, porchetta with parmesan to share, tempura battered cod with a sweet chilli sauce to share, a tortellino with shaved truffles in a butter sauce... and then my tagliatelle. The star of the meal, and the dish I still dream about, was the tortellini amazing silky pasta in a luxurious, velvety buttery sauce. It might seem odd that an Italian place also serves asian food but the chef is a dab hand with both and neither suffers. I went back for a big occasion to celebrate mine and my friend 's 20th 'anniversary '. She has also been here on several occasions and loves it. This time around, we split a creamy burrata and a tangy tuna sashimi to start (weirdly they went quite well together on the plate and then I had a buttery, rich, lamb tortelloni with rosemary and my friend had the prawn spaghettini. Tempting as dessert sounded, with half a bottle of red with our meal, and, delightfully, a glass of prosecco on the house (did they know it was a special occasion? we felt too full to eat any more. It was the same, elegant service, with the same, handmade, top notch pasta. I would gladly go again."
