"We are regulars at Bocca di Lupo, visiting this restaurant perhaps four times a year, constrained only by the fact that it 's increasingly difficult to get a table at this extremely busy and popular restaurant. And let 's not forget that it 's not cheap by any means although every time we visit the menu is entirely different so it 's really like going to a new restaurant every time except that the quality and experience is always fantastic. This time we went as a party of five, just before Christmas. So it was appropriate, perhaps, that some of the items had a Christmas feel to them Italian Christmas fare of course. Some of these menu items were more at the 'luxury ' end of the scale, reflecting the season and so far more expensive than you tend to see on the Bocca di Lupo menu most of the time. Having said all that, this ended up being a sensational experience and one of the best meals we 'd ever had. Importantly, we left with a sense that we had experienced Italian Christmas fare. The roast suckling pig and the ox cheek in chocolate sauce were standouts but the pastas, which were served to us first, were no less scrumptious. The service, from Roberto, was excellent. When I asked him to recommend a wine, he did not recommend an expensive one instead saying that the house wine, the cheapest on the menu, was excellent. I really appreciated that."

We stopped in here without reservations before a show It was extremely busy but they managed to fit us in at the bar overlooking the kitchen.

Booked online because a friend had recommended me this restaurant so I went with my wife for a pre theatre meal there on the 8th November. Service was ok.

Service was incredibly demeaning. We felt very unwelcomed compared to how the white patrons were being treated. Was highly disappointed. Was looking forward to a romantic date. Horrified. View menu

So authentic, 100% Italian charm. Friendly, professional waiting staff. Delicious wine and food approx £60 Inc tip for three courses, 2 mineral waters and a bottle of Scoppiattello. I just cannot wait for an excuse to go back. If you’d like quieter experience ask for a seat at the bar as this restaurant can be noisy during the most busy times. It’s the best Italian I’ve ever been to in London!

A very buzzy atmosphere, however, the seating area was too crowded, the dining room is very small with tables too close to one another. We did have some really nice authentic dishes, I especially liked the pasta with anchovies and walnuts. The wine list is extensive and expensive, which is a shame. It was a nice touch to have a little ice cream as a birthday treat, we were asked if we were celebrating when we booked. On reflection, I think the best place to sit would be at the bar, where people were eating and chatting in a better space.

Here I am, looking for a good place to have dinner by myself.. was recommended by a friend, where I can sit at the counter kitchen bench over-looking the chefs busy preparing all their dishes. Its a busy restaurant where chefs tend to accommodate endless orders in a very efficient manner. I ordered the burrata cheese, salad and cream of red prawn risotto. All the dishes were enjoyable and tasty. Even the simple whole round lettuce was so fresh and crisp. Having seated at the counter bench really adds an extra flavour and excitement to the evening... sometimes, a meal is not only the food that makes it complete... View menu

Bocca di lupa is the finest restaurant in town! The food is delicious I have dined there for years and it never stops being a treat and never disappoints!! You don't even need to think for yourself as the team are so knowledgeable and care about your experience supported by the owner who actually works in the restaurant! You are in for a treat if you sit at the counter it is like watching artists actors and athletes all rolled into one perform!!! The whole experience is accessorised by the fabulous ambience and the stunning art work of the brilliant Haidee Becker!!! This is a very special place!! Thank- you team Bocca keep doing what you do!!

I thought this place was pretty poor. It’s a very well run operation and the atmosphere is perfectly fine but if you’re going because you want to enjoy quality food then give it a miss if home cooked is throwing a boiled potato and celery plus radish on the side of a bowl with liquidised anchovies and bread then I’ll never eat grandmas cooking again. Infact it’s more the concept of how can we be clever and keep this ticket going coz it pretty much runs itself with not much extras required its a relatively small sitting area which always makes it seem more in demand than would be if there were more normal numbers of covers. They have a side business in gelato across the street which I didn't...
