"Two of us had an itison deal and the other member of our party ordered from the regular menu. We chose mid afternoon as we expected it to be quieter and it was. The chef’s were entertaining and we enjoyed watching them cooking.and the interactive...cooking experience. Our food was very tasty and the itison deal was very good value for money. The member of our party who didn’t have the deal enjoyed her food and the dining experience. Quite costly if not using itison however you are paying for the experience as well as the food so would recommend for special occasions. Staff were all very friendly"

"Amazing. I recently took my mother to the Crazy Bear on Saturday last week for her birthday surprise. I have to say we both really enjoyed it. I was a lovely girlie evening. On arrival we were met by the hostess, who was all smiles and made us feel so welcome. She promptly took our coats and we were escorted downstairs to the bar for pre-dinner drinks. We sat at the bar where we were instantly handed a drinks menu by a hunky bar tender, named Santi I believe? Ladies, you have to meet this guy, he is gorgeous and makes a mean Martini! After our drinks we were taken upstairs to our table in the restaurant. The food was delicious, we had huge amounts of sushi, which was divine! Much better...read more"

"This restaurant in London consistently serves fresh and delicious sushi at a fraction of the price of Nobu. It is truly a hidden gem and offers quality sushi that rivals that of Nobu."

"I was here a few times and come back with new people who were all as good as me! there is a large selection of vegan options that are all reasonable prices. especially if they order from the 50% off menu at midday. if they are vegan / vegetarian with a meat eater, I would not recommend everything they eat Sushi-deal, as it is less variety, although still good, that is more definitiw for people who eat meat / fish. the personal was always polite and efficient. I never had a problem. it should not be said, but after reading reviews, the only thing I can suggest is treat people (including personal,) as they expect, are treated and I am sure they have a wonderful time. I only had a small problem here (corresponds to all of us) and after talking to a worker, it was quickly, efficiently and politely solved. Just keep in mind what they order, as it can be very easy to be worn away and unfortunately they cannot take any rest after home. I recommend this place and wait to introduce someone else next month!"

"Came a few years ago and had a faultless meal. However, the portions have got smaller and the taste was quite bland on our mains. Also, the chicken in blackbean sauce has changed which was a favourite last time and no longer tastes like a chicken and blackbean sauce should. They also coat the chicken for it in a batter and it totally ruins the dish. I would only come back for the smaller plates and dim sum. Was also shocked that thay can charge £45 for a beef stir fry and the portion was pathetic. It's shocking."

"I wondered why this restaurant described itself on the board outside as ‘fusion’, why there were so many Korean dishes on the menu and why the serving staff have heard of Asahi beer but haven’t heard of The Asahi Shimbun, a Japanese daily newspaper that is at least 50 years old. The answer is that the Akasaka website isn’t being completely honest when it describes their Northampton branch as a Japanese restaurant. They aren’t really Japanese, although some of their menu items are clearly Japanese. Don’t let that put you off, however, as they are serving excellent food and we enjoyed our meal there very much. It cost us about £70 (inc. 10% tip) for our meal for two people including a 175ml glass of Sauvignon Blanc for my lovely wife and two 330ml bottles of Asahi Dry for me. The sushi was excellent, the edamame beans were great but we didn’t feel that the Dolsot Bibimbap (a Korean dish with loads of rice, some shredded vegetables, prawns and a fried egg on top) offered very good value for money at just under sixteen pounds. We would recommend Akasaka in Northampton and would certainly go there again, but if we want a genuinely Japanese meal, prepared and served by Japanese staff, then we will be sticking to Ginza Restaurant on Wellingborough Road in Northampton. Don’t like the way that the male members of staff at Sakura on Bridge Street speak to their female colleagues, very disrespectful, so we avoid that Japanese restaurant nowadays. Great to have a choice of three Japanese restaurants in Northampton post-pandemic, and our favourite of the three is Ginza."

"Thank you Akasaka for a beautiful experience. Restaurant absolutely stunning, friendly staff and amazing tasting food. My family and I dined here on mother's day. Can I just say the food taste incredible everything we ordered on the menu tasted superb and we finished it all We had 4 omurice rice, prawn tempura rolls, prawn tempura, avocado salad, avocado rolls, Mayonnaise taki udon noodles, chicken donburi with rice, deep fried chicken thighs with sushi rice, coconut ice cream and fantastica dessert. We also returned the next day and had a repeat of some of the dishes (the omurice egg wrap and Mayonnaise taki udon noodles were my favourite Can I also say, this restaurant reminds me of Mino. My husband proposed to me 9 years ago in that restaurant, but they closed and and we've been looking for a replacement since. (We have FOUND it"

"the local loves this place and from good ground. warm, welcoming service and excellent, high quality food. the tables for eating are naturally at a distance and the ambiente of the restaurant is really chilled and relaxed, just perfect. we ordered a mix of sushi selections. for this time remove . it was super fresh, the sashimi was “melting in her mouth” tender and the rice was tender and sticky and light. we enjoyed a green tee while we waited for the cute young to put it together. a totally authentic experience with fresh and tasty eating. Do not pass it!"

"This was my first visit and for my first visit, I brought alone my family and best friend and his family. As we all love Japanese food, our expectation was high. There was a great selection to choose from which also caters for people who is not a Sushi fan with rice, noodles and BBQ meals. The service was great, not too short, where you keep asking for more time, and not too long where you wished you went somewhere else. The food arrived hot and very well presented and you best come hungry as there is plenty of it. The Sushi is really fresh and very tasty. I would highly recommend this restaurant for value for money, great food and friendly surrounding."

"We are just loving this place. Our third visit and we keep coming back for more. In our opinion it is the best place in London right now to get japanese food and believe me we have been to quite a few japanese restaurants. Fabulous food, well cooked and seasoned, extensive menu and the staff could not be more helpful and attentive. We had two orders of edamme as appetisers then moved on to duck chicken gyoza. So difficult to stop eating these delightful dumplings but we forced ourselves and moved onto chicken katsu and salmon teriyaki. Both were absolutely delicious. We finished with creamy chocolate and coffee cocktails. Coupled with heavenly Miles Davis on the airwaves we left walking on air and are currently planning our next visit. With the 50% off we paid £19.60 for the whole meal. Incredible value"
"Vegan options are in somerset in the regular limited and although they sell meat here, ebisu clearly mark vegetarian and vegan options on their menu. After a day in wsm we have a take. I would probably recommend to sit and eat instead of taking away if possible, as I always think that something is lost in taste when stumbled into a box. Nevertheless, eating was great, it didn't necessarily feel authentic japanese in terms of lightness, but it tasted everything really good. will definitely come back, but next time they sit back and it was as good as the first time if not better! updated by the previous review on 2021-09-19"

"During our visit to Edinburgh, we attempted to dine at this restaurant but were deeply disturbed by the behavior of one of the staff members. We didn't have a reservation and tried to walk in, but the waitress gave us an incredulous look as if we shouldn't have even asked without a booking. Being Asian and craving some familiar food after days of steak and hamburgers, we inquired about the wait time. The waitress responded with visible anger and disdain, telling us it would be at least an hour. What shocked us even more was her treatment of a food delivery person who came in to check on an order. She angrily shut the door in their face. We were left speechless by this lack of basic decency. While we understand the pressures of busy hours, treating people with respect should always be a priority."

"Our 4th anniversary. We usually go up, but it wasn't possible this year. To be honest, the food was just as good as where we usually dinate for far and much more of it we had to take some away. The staff was very friendly and funny and we would recommend you visit there. The service was fast and the food delicious!!"
"during the kovid we were forced to go to clifton instead of zanzibar and the experience on par we were obliged to go to the best restaurants in the opposite. noa ended on our radar thanks to a friend's recommendation and we came here twice in a week. eating was absolutely incredible. the highlight was the drachenrolle, I must have eaten four of them during a week. an unforeseen Japanese restaurant in a romantic part of the city and gives the best Japanese restaurant I have visited in the last 10 years. unexplained thanks to the kitchen staff."

"the best japaners in the opposite; tasty eating, cheap, great service they can not ask for much more. I went on a Sunday afternoon in the afternoon when it was quite quiet, and had a lot of straightened (all pictured). the service was fast and friendly, and offered advices to menu points. the sushi tasted fresh, the curry was unique and tasteful, and the bark was so good I would recommend it very much. for two people with a decent amount of sushi, two meals and a drink each (a tea, a beer,) it came to £40, not bad at all. overall, they try hibagon when they are in the opposite, it is good to travel."

"upstairs was the first Japanese restaurant I had eaten 15 years ago. after returning to bristol, I was reluctant, based on some negative reviews. I must say that I was very pleasantly surprised when I came for a friend party in one of the above mentioned karaoke rooms. the personal was professional and attentive, and the food I had - una don (grilled eel reis,) mango fry roll (deep fried fish sushi roll with mango) and miso suppe - was good. not sure how authentic the mango sushi is, but it was still tasty; the unagi was well cooked and had the right taste, and the suppe hit the place. the karaoke room was a great value – £150 for 3 hours karaoke and £150 worth eating and drinking. So if you spend £150 on eating and drinking, then you get the karaoke free in the round. they can easily fit 10 people in this room, so it is very favorable. we had a great time there and I would like to eat again for more karaoke."
