"This was our first time here and can honestly say, it was wonderful. Food was delicious, service attentive with a lovely warm ambience. Defo will return to his lovely place again, especially mid week too"

"We hadn’t returned in a good no of months as our last experience was so bad. We decided to try again this week and we certainly were not disappointed this time. Chicken strips in basil, rocket and pine nut dressing were delicious, my wife could have happily ate them as a main course! All 3 of us had pizzas which were equally as good. Huge difference this time was the food was hot right until the last bite. The last visit food was so cold it was returned as inedible. Comment must go to the bar tender who made the orange and raspberry mojitos… delicious!! Seems the kitchen staff have had a shake up much for the better. Floor staff very kind and attentive. Lovely waitress who tried to serve us drinks to the wrong table (her English wasn’t very clear) but one of the nicest girls u could meet! Lovely meal for a great start to the bank holiday weekend."

"Cafe vino is just over the road from where we live, we are regulars in the Cafe vino and have always found the food to be excellent and the service first class, to us it is like being with family and friends, Luigi, Davida and the chef Guan franco (forgive me if I've spelt the names wrong) and all the staff do a great job and often go the extra mile in bringing a little piece of Italy in Tewkesbury. Andy and Lin."

"This is the best Italian restaurant I have ever eaten in outside of Italy . That is quite a statement, coming from a man who will categorically slate any restaurant who offers mediocre Italian food. I am Italian, 61, and live in London. I consider my self a very good cook having learnt in Tuscany and Lazio in the early 80s to mid 90s from old wives, chefs and cooks alike. This restaurant is absolutely fantastic. It not only offers a set taster menu of supreme quality, but has the feel of a real authentic Italian restaurant. The chef Mamoon is from Bangladesh but for me he can be an honorary Italian if he likes. He has learned from a great chef the owner can 't recall his name) but he has learned so well. The paccheri hand made pasta with sausage was the very best pasta I 've ever eaten in a restaurant outside of Italy. Cooked to perfection. The fagioli with pancetta was of supreme quality and he needs to teach me how to cook it. please, please... Any restaurant who offers both Ornellia £100) a bottle or Tignanello £240) per bottle is serious. I cannot afford these wines anymore, but recall drinking them in Italy and they are of exceptional quality. Their house red was excellent and smooth and reasonably priced. They decide what you eat. They ask you if you have any dislikes at the start and then they bring you out an 8 course meal of top notch quality. Antipasti of prosciutto, figs, rugola, asparagus in a lovely cheesy sauce, the amazing fagioli and pancetta, prawns in garlic and tomato, scallops, paccheri pasta with sausage meat and cream, with a grand finale of porchetta with oven potatoes. THIS RESTAURANT IS A TEN! Simona, the manager is lovely, attentive and welcoming. Mimmo the waiter work his socks off and is brilliant front of house. I cannot fault this restaurant. It might be pricy for some at £70 per head plus wine, but it is worth every penny. Will I be going back? 100%! So who is Tony Toast? Well he 's my lifelong friend. It 's not his real name just his alter-ego. We celebrated his 60th last night in this wonderful little restaurant and it was a night we shall all remember! Thank you Boccon di 'vino you are divine! Giacomo Malvermi"

"We decided to come here for dinner after having lunch last year. I’m not sure why we waited so long as it was lovely. I can’t fault the food at all, our steaks were cooked to perfection! The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was down to service, we were in a side room and the staff only really came in when they were delivering food. It wouldn’t stop us returning as the food was fabulous."

"We visited again on Saturday. Beautiful warm welcome from all staff, they really go out their way to you feel special. The food was great as usual. We just returned from the holiday in Italy and we did not taste better food there! Prices are very reasonable. The waiter recommended a wine that was excellent. We had some of the new 'Jubilee' cocktails to catch the evening. All in all a great place for romantic couples and families. Make sure you book in busy times, although they are usually full. We cannot recommend this place enough. Disadvantages? Back!"

"Honestly, I went here ready to love the restaurant, but feel maybe it's taking things a little bit for granted. Had multiple dishes. Fussiloni. Wow well I am guessing boiled mince, but not an expert about why meat tasted the way it did, but I associated meat with mass produced methods of canteen food. Specials pasta was alright, think if not pasta itself being Al dente would definitely say most of people can prepare the dish at home without much effort. Wagyu whilst granted I never ate wagyu before was rubbery. Maybe that's how it suppose to be but I really had a bite and didn't want more. Tiramisu was Limoncello based , soft. Personally didn't like it, but I can see other people enjoying it. Overall during meal I was questioning my meat eating morals :D. Service was lovely. Decor was nice. Prices were high"

"We are working away in Alnwick, one week on one week off, from Manchester and after about the second visit we were sick off getting burger kings from service stations on the way home. So one of the lads searched good Italian food off the A1 and we found Giuseppe’s. What a good move! My Mrs is Italian, me not, but I understand good Italian food from loads of trips there. Now these guys drop the good stuff! We now go every other week on the way home and look forward to it. For life is the journey! He’s not far at all off the A1 in Gateshead and when you say no to all out consumerism/convenience you can discover the real little Gems in life and this is one Great guys, great food, positive energy!"

"A little bit run down in places but that seems to be Wookey Hole in general. Popped in for a cup of tea after some caving and the service was great. They weren't serving food at the time but as we had mentioned cake, they were very accommodating and happy to serve us something from the pudding menu. Good selection of old games to play while sitting there. (Probably for kids but we are big kids, and who doesn't love Connect 4)"

"Family meal in October 2021. Great choice of Italian food and wines on menu. Prices are fair, slightly on the high for wines offered. Service was excellent, very personal. Ordered different pastas and gnocchi which were good. Only rating 4 stars as pasta on the day was far too salty."

"Titillate your taste buds. The freshest of breads. With amazing olive oil. And a Mediterranean salad to start with. Great olives on the side. For mains the chef made a special ravioli dish for us. It wasn't on the menu. No effort too much. We...were touched at this display of proper restaurantness. The tiramisu for our dessert was to absolutely die for. I really also wanted the special limoncello sorbet but whilst the spirit was willing the body was sensibly saying another day. A big shout out to Marcus and Christine. They understand what hospitality is all about. And the complimentary limoncello shots before we left were awesome with lovely chocolates."

"We dined here for the first time and found the food served, to be disappointingly mediocre. I had the seafood risotto, first off, it lacked the creaminess a good risotto should have, there were two small king prawns, a few cut up slices of squid rings and the rest of the seafood were clams. Plus, there was really no flavour to speak of. My sister had a pizza, the base was pale and clearly undercooked, again bland. Overall, if I’m going to pay £35+ per head and 10% service charge, I’d like to enjoy food that is bursting with flavour, not food I can cook better at home. Unfortunately, and for these reasons, we won’t be returning."

"this small family-run restaurant never disappoints! eating is always so good and tasty. they use high-quality ingredients that is a huge plus. they also do not add a service fee to the bill, so they tap what they want. one of my favorite Italians before place. we had brot and olive oil as an appetizer and this time we ordered the truffle paste as a main, which was at £26.50 it was really delicious and the portions were generous. Thank you, young."

"We had an absolutely fantastic meal here today! I was dining with my children, and the waiter took the time to show my son how to twirl his spaghetti on his fork just like “real Italians.” He also brought balloons for both of my kids. Everything was perfect, and nothing was too much trouble. The experience was wonderful, and we will definitely be returning. Thank you so much!"

"What did I think of Gaucho before? A fancy food-chain restaurant that serves probably quite good food with overrated expensive wine. How wrong I was! Gaucho emphasizes Argentinian culture where food and wine and the passion for people forms an integral part. I was honoured to take part in an Argentinian wine fair for a preliminary preview of Gaucho's Argentinian wine. What do I think of Gaucho after the event? No further convincing needed. I am looking forward to their full launch of Argentinian wines in October 2015. If you are lucky and Phil Crozier is around, make sure you get a chance to speak to him and feel his passion for Argentinian wine. Delicious prawn ceviche and empanadas – cheese and ham, beef (tender and flavoursome meat) and spinach and cheese – all served hot."

"Superb visit yet again…….chef Jon just knows how to deliver exceptional dishes every time…….standards are so high the bar keeps rising. We were a family group of eight who keep returning for the best food fare in Swansea. We celebrated our son’s birthday and our 35th anniversary eating dishes that simply satisfy each and every one. Each course was fantastic with all dishes cleared…….if you haven’t tried their garlic bread and onion rings then you simply haven’t lived!…….. we have eaten in many, many places but always return to our favourite restaurant of all that is Truffle……..they also have the nicest and most courteous staff there is, with superb service. If you haven’t been here then you are missing out…….the best 38 three course meal around with B.Y.O.B allowing 5 star food at a very reasonable prices ……….thanks Truffle for another fantastic evening from Joe, Helen family."

"With the threat of Tier 3 looming because of you-know-what, my wife and I were keen to get some liquor and fine food in our local... And what an amazing time we had. We brought our dog Lexi, who was kindly accommodated, being provided with fuss and water and we were lucky enough to be seated next to the open fire.My wife had the delicious (and strong! Locally brewed cider and I consumed many delicious pints of the Aylesbury pale ales. For food I had the homemade black pudding scotch egg which was INCREDIBLE and my wife had the whitebait which was also delicious. As it was the burger and steak night we both had the classic burgers, which were cooked and put together with perfection. To finish we had the salted caramel brownie and the sticky toffee pudding and these were rich and delicious.Throughout the evening all the staff were attentive and very friendly without being intrusive. It's really impressive to see how well The George has adapted to the ever changing restrictions and still maintain such good service."

"family-run Italian restaurant with a tidy house cooked food. I had big king prawns in an orange and chili sauce, followed by heavy fish in a tomato, olive and caper sauce on green beans and covered with very sharp thin frits. I also stole a few very creamy and alcoholic tiramisu from an evening meal. also had the table were baked mushrooms, play ravioli, a tasty looking huh wrapped in ham, plus a few other dishes that I can not remember. all declared excellent and washed with good Italian wine."
"I first visited Piccolo's a few weeks after they opened in 1998 whilst at university and despite moving away from Sheffield have returned many times over the years introducing as many of my family and friends as possible to this delightful family run italian restaurant. We are always greeted as old friends and looked after as attentively as you might expect in a fine dining Michelin starred establishment. Often when you hear that a place has barely changed in 25 years you would think that was a bad thing but in this case it's a huge recommendation. There have been changes to the menu but the food remains excellent, their garlic bread is appropriately described as award winning. My personal favourite is the Pollo gambaretti, (something I've tried to replicate at home) and their steak dishes are delicious- something I wouldn't take for granted in more budget friendly restaurants Thoroughly recommend, can't wait for the next opportunity to pay then a visit."
