"What a great setting! Overlooking the marina and floor to ceiling glass windows. The restaurant had only a few customers when we arrived. Perhaps we were early but the place was pretty empty. Our waitress seemed to be in training and didn't really make us feel welcome. We ordered appetisers and waited. Our drinks arrived and we began to eat. Having been a regular customer a few years back, at one of the nicest and authentic Italian Bottalinos, in Emersons Green we were beginning to feel that the magic had disappeared and this wasn't authentic italian. My serving of bruschetta looked thrown together, not chef made! Poorly made, over salty, under herby and lacking in the sunshine of Italy. We were not offered extra pepper or parmesan. The next table had to ask for it. The service didn't extend to us. Check back didn't happen. On arrival of the main course it was obvious that the standards of preparation had dropped considerably. My pizza goat was on a thin crust but it was undercooked so unpleasant to eat. The topping was feeble and again without the Italian authenticity expected. The ragu ordered by my husband was bland and brown. As above, no extra parmesan or pepper was offered. No check back was made. I couldn't finish the pizza goat as I wasn't enjoying it. We took it away in a box. It was later binned. We also had difficulty getting the waitress to bring us water. Not sure what was going on. The restaurant wasn't busy. Overall, very disappointing and we won't return there. The prices are for high quality Italian food and we expected a bit of Italian style and atmosphere. So it's very disappointing to see the state of things here."

"Finally got round to trying Brassica again after a few hit and miss experiences along time ago. Sadly wish we hadn't bothered. Nothing tasted awful. Simplicity is often a great thing.. however the prices don't always reflect this. Our fish was abit overdone.. foccacia stale and our frozen french fries soft. It's in the details. Wish we'd said something about these issues on the night but didn't want to taint the evening. Big reason for the low stars is the fact we payed an extortionate amount of money and 3 of the 4 of us left hungry. Paying £27-£29 for a main to then leave you hungry.. after paying £14-£15 for a starter! Their mains are not a complete meal.. you have to add sides which for the price is insane. Word of warning.. you'll have to order plenty of sides and don't go with a budget. Our friends who had come down from London were also dissapointed and shocked at the prices! Let that settle in."

"I liked the pub very much, she had a good atmosphere and was warm and comfortable, although it was like in an iondon gastropub instead of a Hastings place. that is not so much a critique as something unexpected. the food was really very good and we all enjoyed it, with taking out my Christmas spice, which was quite dry and unstoppable. when the staff saw that I had left half of it, they immediately took the accusation of our bill, which was a pleasant surprise. the staff was friendly and helpful and I would definitely recommend it for a pleasant evening. we will go back!"

"Superb visit yet again…….chef Jon just knows how to deliver exceptional dishes every time…….standards are so high the bar keeps rising. We were a family group of eight who keep returning for the best food fare in Swansea. We celebrated our son’s birthday and our 35th anniversary eating dishes that simply satisfy each and every one. Each course was fantastic with all dishes cleared…….if you haven’t tried their garlic bread and onion rings then you simply haven’t lived!…….. we have eaten in many, many places but always return to our favourite restaurant of all that is Truffle……..they also have the nicest and most courteous staff there is, with superb service. If you haven’t been here then you are missing out…….the best 38 three course meal around with B.Y.O.B allowing 5 star food at a very reasonable prices ……….thanks Truffle for another fantastic evening from Joe, Helen family."

"What can I say about Pino’s? We’ve been going for two years and will keep on going- customers for life! The food- freshly made and delicious, the portions generous, the service friendly yet professional and always upbeat, the atmosphere as if you’re in a traditional restaurant in Italy! We’re truly lucky a gem like this exists in Wiltshire!! They went above and beyond especially for my father in law’s 80th birthday thank you for everything! Service: Dine in"

"We visited again on Saturday. Beautiful warm welcome from all staff, they really go out their way to you feel special. The food was great as usual. We just returned from the holiday in Italy and we did not taste better food there! Prices are very reasonable. The waiter recommended a wine that was excellent. We had some of the new 'Jubilee' cocktails to catch the evening. All in all a great place for romantic couples and families. Make sure you book in busy times, although they are usually full. We cannot recommend this place enough. Disadvantages? Back!"

"Dined here solo on a weekday evening. Atmosphere was lovely with the restaurant feeling very open to take advantage of the lovely weather. It took a little longer than expected to take my order, but once this was done, food came out promptly and tasted delicious. I return to the area multiple times a year for work and will definitely visit this restaurant again."

"Catching up with my reviews ate here on 14th September, in my bid to try out the new local places. Very busy restaurant and had to book in advance to try it out, following a takeaway option the week beforehand (which was very average). Extremely modern fresh interior and friendly enough welcome in. Was a noisy night as a live band was playing at the other end of the restaurant. Sat us down at the end of the restaurant in a booth and waited a few minutes before getting waiter back to ask for drinks. Ordered a bottle of wine and soft drinks. 25 minutes later... they appear back.. Not a good start already, given the waitress had taken our food order before the chap came back with 2 soft drinks and a bottle! Mum was the only one to order a starter of minestrone soup as you can see from the photos a tuscan bean soup would be a better description, not a minestrone soup of any shape or form. No one came over to ask how it was either. Mains arrived shortly after and I went for Milanese Chicken with pasta, mum had pasta with spicy sausage and Fi, pasta with prawns. Side order of focaccia bread. Simplest way to describe the food. Bland and tasteless. No seasoning in any of the dishes whatsoever. Pasta was dry and not fresh tasting in the slightest. Worst part the bread. It wasn't cooked and dough was still raw all across the edges and the rock salt... OMG.. Anymore thrown on I'd be in hospital! Not to worry... oh wait, thats right, no one came over again to ask how things were, or even acknowledged you at the table. Didn't eat much, but still opted to try desserts to get a better feel for the place on a review. Sticky Toffee and Tiramisu are always winners they were okay not stand out, but the better out of the 3 courses. Another thing that lets this place down, is the ambience or lack of. It's just so loud in here with the tunnel design and you can't hear yourself or talk without raising your voice. I was quite disappointed with Nonnas Kitchen, given the takeaway the week before wasn't great, but put that down to it being a takeaway. Clearly, things don't improve much eating in food or service wise. Popular down to nothing else is really in Kirky and it's big and modern. Not a winner with me or anyone that expects freshly cooked and lovingly prepared food/service. You Don't Gotta Eat Here... Sadly!"

"We decided to enjoy a leisurely late lunch and came across this place online. The staff graciously gave us a table by the window, making for an enjoyable experience. They offer three small plates per person from three different menus priced at £10.50, £12.50, and £13.50. We opted for the £12.50 menu, which featured a variety of Italian-themed dishes. When the food arrived, it was piping hot and expertly prepared. The flavors and overall quality were impressive, especially the calamari, which was lightly coated in tempura batter and served with a garlic mayo dip. There was so much food that I initially declined dessert. However, upon closer inspection of the dessert menu, I discovered a delightful trio of small desserts on one plate, paired perfectly with a rich cappuccino. Our total bill, which included two desserts, a large glass of white wine, and two pints of Peroni, came to around £60 including the tip. There was plenty of parking available in the rear lot, and the restaurant itself was clean, tidy, and well-maintained. The staff was attentive, even though it was mid-afternoon and had quieted down significantly since lunch. Overall, it was a lovely experience."

"The building and dining environment with the open kitchen and vaulted ceiling add to the atmosphere here. Food is good and well priced, service is spot on. They have some good lunch and pre-theatre offers. We opted for a starter of Pate and a Caesar Salad, mains of Mixed Shellfish Platter and Rigatoni Agnello from the main menu, followed by Pistachio Profiteroles, which was a huge portion that I struggled to finish and an Affogato dessert."
"We made a last-minute reservation for 2 adults and 2 children, and they quickly found a table for us. The service and food were fantastic. It's a pity this restaurant isn't closer to us, but we will definitely return when we're in the area again. The dining experience was rated as follows: Service - 4, Atmosphere - 5, and Food - 5. The average price per person for dinner was between £10-20."
"Wasn't a very warm day and was actually cold and draughty in the restaurant. The service was OK, the staff werent able to answer questions very easily but the food was nice. We shared pizza and pasta and it was brought in 2 small bowls for pasta that sat on larger pizza plates with half the pizza on each plate- that was lovely and pizza was very light not stodgy and carbonara rich and creamy so was greatest having a whole bowl but mixing it up with the pizza."

"A little bit run down in places but that seems to be Wookey Hole in general. Popped in for a cup of tea after some caving and the service was great. They weren't serving food at the time but as we had mentioned cake, they were very accommodating and happy to serve us something from the pudding menu. Good selection of old games to play while sitting there. (Probably for kids but we are big kids, and who doesn't love Connect 4)"

"I shall list my issues with the experience because this deserves no more of my time nor my writing skills pizza fell apart (all toppings fell off) could’ve cut my pizza with my car and it would’ve been more geometric pizza was originally delivered somehow to the wrong house so it was over an hour late whoever was on the phone tonight (31/5/23 at around 6) clearly couldn’t hear or retain information as the pizza was at the wrong house wasn’t told about all of the ingredients on the veg pizza (possibly life endangering if you consider allergies) we were given a £6 bottle of wine as a peace offering even though the order was over £40 Appalled"

"Our weekly must have visit. Best Cappucino and sandwich in town. Davide and his staff very friendly. Nothing too much trouble. E M January 2024 Finally managed to arrange dinner with friends for my birthday. Had wonderful food, pizza, lasagna, risotto. Even my husband who is difficult to please with his food said it was Best Lasagna he had ever tasted. Luigi, Megan and Giannfranco were fabulous. "We had the best Italian meal at this restaurant! All four of us were extremely satisfied with our dishes. The two guys ordered filet steak, which came with chips and salad, and both agreed it was the best they've ever had. I opted for a chicken pasta in a lovely creamy sauce, while our other friend enjoyed the lasagna and loved it as well. We started with garlic bread and some garlic mushrooms, which were great and came in generous portions! I would definitely recommend this place and will absolutely return if we’re in the area. The only downside was that it was quite warm inside the restaurant, so we stepped outside for some fresh air. Other than that, everything was perfect!"

"Nothing like you’ve ever experienced. There is no menu. The chef just feeds you dozens of courses. I went many times when I lived there and I only saw it once but there is a Peach dessert which I would do anything to get the recipe for! (I lived around the corner and one night had 23 courses. Everything is divine! Important note: the main course is served at the same time for all diners so if you get a 6pm reservation or an 8 pm reservation you will still eat the main when the main course is out of the oven. One seating per night. Make reservations accordingly. The best! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £40–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"Having been a few times before, though this would be a great place to bring the family, had to wait over a hour for our mains , Then all of a sudden a large group of 20 plus people were allowed in and the. Noise level went mad ……terrible experience like Wetherspoons on a Saturday night!!!!!!! Questioned this with the managresss but was told this was an online booking fault.??? We had our table booked at 19.15,and supposedly they close at 21.30 .we had our mains at 21.05 such a wait ,and ruined our family night , it seemed all they wanted to do was get extra Money from these new late customers, and completely forget about their existing customers…. Money grabbing….."

"Honestly, I went here ready to love the restaurant, but feel maybe it's taking things a little bit for granted. Had multiple dishes. Fussiloni. Wow well I am guessing boiled mince, but not an expert about why meat tasted the way it did, but I associated meat with mass produced methods of canteen food. Specials pasta was alright, think if not pasta itself being Al dente would definitely say most of people can prepare the dish at home without much effort. Wagyu whilst granted I never ate wagyu before was rubbery. Maybe that's how it suppose to be but I really had a bite and didn't want more. Tiramisu was Limoncello based , soft. Personally didn't like it, but I can see other people enjoying it. Overall during meal I was questioning my meat eating morals :D. Service was lovely. Decor was nice. Prices were high"
