"I absolutely adore this place! It's a charming, cozy, and relaxed setting. The food is consistently delicious and served with friendly and quick service. While we occasionally try other restaurants, we always find ourselves coming back to Dodds. Visit on a chilly autumn night and peek through the windows to see the inviting atmosphere. You'll be tempted to step inside and keep coming back for more. The gluten-free options may not be extensive, but there is always a tasty pasta and sauce available to enjoy. Please note that there are limited options for gluten-free diets."

"Took a chance a chance of not booking and it paid off. We arrived after 8 and got seated immediately. It was busy but the charm and atmosphere weren’t lost. Food was served quickly and tasted delicious. The restaurant has a traditional family atmosphere and we were made to feel welcome. It’s worth making sure you have room for the tiramisu or sticky toffee pudding, both home made and amazing…. I’d go as far as saying the sticky toffee pudding was better than any other rival I have tasted, it was very light and tasted great"

"I got the kale bone, collards, Mac cheese, cornbread, tropical drink. The kale bone a flavor/ texture that remind me of stuffing mixed with soy with gravy of top. Not bad at all but I’m not a stuffing kind of person so I wouldn’t get it again. The collards was your typical collards I did enjoy that. The Mac cheese was the BEST vegan Mac cheese I have ever tasted I have tried a few. The cornbread was dry. I took one bite trashed it. The tropical drink have hibiscus in it it’s delicious. The customer service is welcoming friendly. The place does have a slight Odor like it’s a older building."

"We went for a family meal, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We ordered several starters which all came and were very nice. The mains arrived(ish) they dropped one of the meals so that came later these things happen. The special Swordfish ..was as dry as a bone, this was returned and the chef re.cooked the dish and sent a new meal out which was cooked to perfection and lovely, which begs the question Why was the original dish even served The Calzone was not very pleasant it was over powered with ricotta cheese to the degree that the other fillings were unnoticeable, however we didn't complain as they were obviously having a difficult evening! This was one of our many visits to this restaurant, had this been the first time it would have been the last."

"We booked a table at the very last minute during a short visit to alnwyk. Staff were very accommodating and we dined early evening on a Friday. The restaurant was very busy however the staff were attentive and very friendly. Mussels starter on the specials board was superb and a huge portion. Main sea bass from the specials board was really good and the accompanying roasted vegetables were excellent. Speedy service we will definitely return"

"Okay, the first choice (Beef in Chianti) was not available (no apology). I was told the alternative was a beef burger. There was nothing similar, so I opted for the Crab and Lobster Ravioli. In terms of the dish, it was a little light, especially given the price something between a starter and main. The taste, well it was pretty numb: there was no identifiable taste of crab or lobster. I wasn't expecting Sheekies standard of food for the price, but it was still disappointing. That said the staff were pleasant. I tried my partner's Cabonara. That was tastier, but still didn't hit the mark to be honest if it wasn't for the seasoning in the meat it would also be a little lacking in flavour. Moving on to the desert (needed to fill the gap of the light dinner), I opted for the Chocolate and Cherry Sundae. Hmmm. No cherries at all in the desert. I questioned this and was told cherries were in there. I searched. No cherries. Then the manager came up and said Chef did not say, but that dessert was off, so we got just chocolate ice cream and spray cream. Overall I would give it three stars. The food is not really up to scratch for the price, although the atmosphere is relaxed and there is some ambience to the decor. I think a major chain like Prezzo should be doing better."

"The restaurant serves excellent, authentic Italian pizzas cooked in a traditional oven. The food delivery was a bit slow, but the pizzas were made to order and the restaurant was bustling on a Friday night. Takeout orders are also quite popular."

"We occasionally meet chums in Newmarket and this Italian was the place we agreed to meet for lunch. First time for us and overall a pretty good effort. Requested a better table but they couldn't accomodate the request, when obviously they could but no biggy . The food was good but not what I would call spectacular but would gladly go back and eat there again, so I would urge you to do the same. I think the trouble is we holiday in Tuscany, and frequent several high end Italian restaurants here in the Midlands. We may have been spoiled but seriously, this is a place I would gladly eat at again when next in Newmarket and as I said would urge you to have a run at it too. "We recently had the best Italian food in a long time, if not ever. The restaurant was conveniently located next to our B&B and we were fortunate to snag a table without a reservation. The food was exceptional. The focaccia bread was wonderfully crispy yet soft, and the calamari rings focused on the calamari itself rather than the breading. The standout dishes were the seafood ravioli and tiramisu. The ravioli was filled generously, with velvety pasta and perfectly balanced and seasoned sauce. The tiramisu had the ideal ratio of mascarpone cream to coffee and liqueur-soaked biscuits (usually it can be too heavy with too much mascarpone). Additionally, San Pietro offers an extensive cocktail menu and the service is fast and extremely friendly."

"we have booked a 5pm table, of course it was quiet when we arrived and we sat at a small 2 sitter stand we were 2 person moments later two customers came questioned about the pasta deal for £15 a head and were sitting in a spacious stand for 4! it doesn't make sense to give a snout hunter a big table and another hospitable a small table, especially as our bill was over £200! we had been looking for norma after we had heard such Rave reviews, we were disappointed that eating. only average we have eaten a lot! octopus, arancini, a pasta course cornish crab spaghetti and a Ragu type pasta then lamb laces with borlotti can not remove what my man had, kartoffel with truffle and dessert, we cannot be held back! the service was friendly and charming and the dining room is very well designed. beautiful that we have been, but would not return in a hurry!"

"We booked in for a late brunch but were told the website was out of date and there wasn't a brunch menu after 11am. The menu itself was extremely limited and certainly on the pricey side. I ended up ordering 2 x small plates (the left hand side are all small plates) at £9 each and my friend ordered the turbot at £24. The food itself was delicious, but at £66.00 for a one course lunch with no alcohol, it was probably too expensive to make it a regular haunt! The decor is great, however, and the place is light, airy and spotlessly clean. Just not what was sold on their website and somewhere for a treat not a quick bite to eat."

"Booked for the evening as I've always gone to Amore and wanted to try something different. We did get greeted very quickly as we arrived early but wasn't a problem. Was informed they ran out of mussels soon as w sat down. I chose a pasta dish as there wasn't much choice in pizzas as I like meat on it more than just ham and I can't have spicy foods. Our mains we really enjoyed and was just enough in portion size. Though I'd if liked to see more on the menu than just deli meats, spicy nduja and mackerel. Lots of vegetarian options for those who can't eat meat. Or if any specials were made then I'd of had in exchange of no mussels. Other than that we enjoyed our evening"

"We visited this restaurant for dinner and were impressed by the beautiful presentation of all the dishes. We started with the hot smoked salmon terrine, followed by the crispy duck salad and orcchietti with Tuscan fennel sausage. Each dish was unique and had a perfect balance of flavors. It was truly a delightful experience. We also loved the Thistly Cross Scottish cider. We highly recommend this place, and suggest making a reservation in advance as it can get busy."

"Sotto Sotto has a stunning location and the food was as good as Martini's used to be. And that was good. But it has the air of a place that wants to turn over tables quickly to get the next diners in. Service was okay but not brilliant, and not what I'd expect from a restaurant of this standard. It's still worth a visit, but I'd like them to be less slick and rekindle their polish and style instead Service: Dine in"
"My wife and I found this restaurant five years ago and we’ve been coming here as often as possible ever since. We are exceedingly happy to be able to take friends and family to different me at Amici’s. The food is authentic Italian run by a husband and wife and their family. There is always a lovely atmosphere and the food and hospitality are exceptional. We have no hesitation in recommending Amici’s for small intimate dinners for two or special occasions that may be for larger numbers. "Just had a midweek meal with my family for my birthday. Whilst I can not fault the meal in the least, it really was excellent, the service was not what I expected. It was almost as if they didn't want you to be there. We...were not made to feel welcome at all. Even when I asked what vodkas were available i was told only smirnoff. I tend not to drink smirnoff so asked what beers were available, I was then informed, well we also have grey goose (which I then ordered). Also we asked for the remainder of my kids pizzas to be put in a box to takeaway, this seemed like a chore. The box of take home pizza was left on the table before we had even ordered dessert and coffee. We had to try and fit the desert around it. Including our table of 5 there were about 16 customers in the restaurant. My bill Including tip was £200. Midweek middle of the month I wasn't expecting it to be busy hence I was maybe expecting better and more attentive service. Food was excellent but don't think I'll return any time soon."

"A cute restaurant serving great food. Everything we ordered off the lunch set menu was delicious with beautiful plating and satisfying portions. The burrata in particular was a standout item. From a mocktail we ordered it seems that they have a great mixologist in house too. Service could be a bit warmer and more attentive though while taking our orders they were careful on asking about allergies. Cutlery is very worn and badly scratched, a mismatch with the overall ambience of the restaurant. There was also a dirty crusted knife on our place setting which we had to alert the wait staff on."
"Visited with friends for an evening meal after hearing good reviews about the place. As usual I'll get the moans out of the way first, there are only 2 but unfortunately they are both about the meal.. I thought being an Italian restaurant having calamari would be a safe bet, wrong, it was so overcooked it was like chewing elastic bands. Mains, was a king prawn dish with pasta. It came with chips, unfortunately I was that hungry, I'd eaten half of it before I realised, the actual king prawn dish was lovely, but who has an Italian dish with chips? On the plus side, the place itself is nice, clean and comfortable, the staff and nice and friendly and the service was good, not having to wait long for your meal, there was also a good selection of wines available."

"Casa Dino is well worth a visit. The food is delicious and very well presented (not an overwhelming choice of dishes either, which tells you that everything on the menu is super fresh and seasonal). Good selection of cocktails and wine. The staff were welcoming, knowledgeable and professional. Music was slightly too loud for us, but we’re probably in the minority; and it certainly wouldn’t stop us going again. We felt it represented good value for money and all in all, we had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. But don’t take my word for it go and try it out for yourselves!"

"Meal Type: Lunch Price Range: £10–£20 Food Rating: 5/5 Service Rating: 3/5 Atmosphere Rating: 4/5 I recently dined in for lunch, and I must say the food was exceptional, earning a perfect score of 5. The flavors were outstanding, and every dish was prepared to perfection. However, the service was a bit lacking, receiving a 3. While the staff was friendly, there were a few delays that affected the overall experience. The atmosphere was pleasant, rated at 4, providing a nice setting to enjoy a meal. Overall, I had a great time and would recommend it for the delicious food!"
