I visited Sotto Sotto around 5 years ago and it was excellent so I was excited to return! The food was delicious and it was vibing for a Tuesday night. Went here following a recommendation from my partner's friend, a local. We had a great meal here and discovered a superb place! Food service, restaurant setting and atmosphere was excellent- I would come back here again without thinking twice when visiting Bath. Sotto Sotto has a stunning location and the food was as good as Martini's used to be. And that was good. But it has the air of a place that wants to turn over tables quickly to get the next diners in. Service was okay but not brilliant, and not what I'd expect from a restaurant of this standard. I had a beautiful birthday meal at Sotto Sotto. Also, massive shout out to our amazing waiter Lakmal. The starter was Bruschetta ai gamberoni marinated king prawns tossed with an infusion of Mediterranean flavours and fresh chilli on rustic Tuscan bread. My main meal was Fettucce al ragù d’agnello con fonduta di Pecorin fettucce pasta with lamb ragout on a bed of Pecorino cheese fondue. Both were absolutely amazing and had such rich flavours.
