"What a great setting! Overlooking the marina and floor to ceiling glass windows. The restaurant had only a few customers when we arrived. Perhaps we were early but the place was pretty empty. Our waitress seemed to be in training and didn't really make us feel welcome. We ordered appetisers and waited. Our drinks arrived and we began to eat. Having been a regular customer a few years back, at one of the nicest and authentic Italian Bottalinos, in Emersons Green we were beginning to feel that the magic had disappeared and this wasn't authentic italian. My serving of bruschetta looked thrown together, not chef made! Poorly made, over salty, under herby and lacking in the sunshine of Italy. We were not offered extra pepper or parmesan. The next table had to ask for it. The service didn't extend to us. Check back didn't happen. On arrival of the main course it was obvious that the standards of preparation had dropped considerably. My pizza goat was on a thin crust but it was undercooked so unpleasant to eat. The topping was feeble and again without the Italian authenticity expected. The ragu ordered by my husband was bland and brown. As above, no extra parmesan or pepper was offered. No check back was made. I couldn't finish the pizza goat as I wasn't enjoying it. We took it away in a box. It was later binned. We also had difficulty getting the waitress to bring us water. Not sure what was going on. The restaurant wasn't busy. Overall, very disappointing and we won't return there. The prices are for high quality Italian food and we expected a bit of Italian style and atmosphere. So it's very disappointing to see the state of things here."

never again the food was poor and the portions small expensive we paid over 100.00 would never go again if you want a very good pizza go to Antonio's on the cab stand excellent.

Kelly was the only saving grace from a truly awful experience. Starters of ravioli could have been made by my six year old grandson! mains didn't even arrive! Would never dine here ever again!!!!!

This place has become our regular date night spot, food is always so delicious and fresh. Plenty of choice, my favourite dessert is the cannoli the favour is just wow. Staff are always friendly and go above and beyond for you

On arrival there was no warmth in the greeting and nowhere to hang coats. An excellent menu only produced one of the fish courses offered and at least three of the mains offered were unavailable. The food we did get was acceptable but it was a disappointing evening which we has all been looking forward to. View menu

We visited Bottelinos, Portishead for a birthday lunch on Christmas Eve and have to say the staff were exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble and they were all so happy, polite and friendly. It really made our experience that much more special and we were very grateful to them. Our waitress, Cara, was just fantastic. Thank you all, what a great team!

We decided to dine at this restaurant because they offer a 20% discount on food for guests staying at the nearby ibis budget hotel. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was not too crowded, which was a bit unfortunate because the food and service were excellent. We were seated at a window table with a beautiful view. We definitely plan on returning in the future.

The website indicated that the restaurant was open, but upon arrival, we found it closed with chairs stacked on the tables. The patio area outside was neglected, filled with leaves and weeds, and the artificial plants were in poor condition. We were disappointed by the appearance and upkeep of the restaurant, especially considering our positive experiences with Bottelinos in the past. View menu

This restaurant is absolutely terrible. I went with a group of friends and we waited for over an hour and a half for our food. The quality of the food was extremely disappointing, like your vibrator running out of batteries at a crucial moment. Even with the long wait, the food was not up to par. I ordered the risotto verde with peas, broad beans, and asparagus, but the broad beans and asparagus were missing. All 15 meals we ordered were subpar, and when we complained, the chef (who is also the general manager) gave us rude glares. Save yourself the trouble and just order from Dominos instead.

We had booked this restaurant as they were advertising a Christmas menu, as we were flying to Edinburgh the next day (Xmas Eve) for Xmas. We had planned to have our turkey dinner pre- Xmas here. How disappointed were we. Firstly, when we tried to order the Xmas menu we were told they didn't have all the trimmings to go with the turkey i.e, pigs in blankets, roast pots veg, we could have instead turkey, courgettes onions and peppers as the veg!!! I reluctantly agreed to this, my husband ordered a different dish entirely! Starters arrived eventually, service shabby to say the least, even though the place was only half full, tables left uncleared! Starters were mediocre at best! Waited 45 mins...
