"We really used to enjoy coming here for quick lunch to takeaway either Penang, katsu or Thai green curry. Today we decided to try their expanded menu including Mee Goreng noodles and Nasi Lemak rice. Probably the worst tasting food I've tried this year. Not remotely Malaysian. Same chicken is chopped and changed for all meals now. No flavour in noodles. Nasi Lemak stunk bad anchovie paste was ok but had we not driven off we'd have returned the food for refund. Maybe stick to the Thai dishes theyre known for or like us, avoid from now on."

"managed to snaffle a table without reservation (it is very small, but the man who manns the front of the house is really friendly and will try to accommodate them if possible at all) and we are so glad that we did. what a great Malaysian restaurant! we had the Nasi lemak with beef and also with fried chicken. both were fantastic, but I think that huh just kinked it out. my friend took an omelette he really enjoyed. we also had the roti with dhal the roti was really oily, but really good; crisp and flaky with many layers. the dhal was also delicious. the prices are super reasonable, with taking the teh tarik, which is a very small paper cup for £3,50, the menu has a variety of variety and I look forward to return and try more dishes. it is a bit difficult to find on the back of the Queensway market (back left as they enter)."

"We had such a lovely lunch here! We ordered the nasi goreng and laksa. Thanks to the chef, Nahid, who cooked up a storm. A special mention, too, to Navya, for her delightfully warm service with a smile. Will definitely return!"

"**Meal Type:** Takeout **Dinner Price per Person:** £10–£20 **Food Rating:** 5/5 **Service Rating:** 5/5 **Atmosphere Rating:** 5/5 **Recommended Dish:** Chicken Chow Mein I recently ordered takeout for dinner, and I couldn't be more pleased with my experience. The food was simply outstanding, earning a perfect score of 5. The Chicken Chow Mein stood out as a must-try dish, bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. Equally impressive was the service, which also received a top rating. The staff was friendly and efficient, making the entire ordering process smooth and enjoyable. As for the atmosphere, even though I didn't dine in, the restaurant exuded a welcoming vibe, which I could sense just from the brief interaction when picking up my order. Overall, I highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a delicious meal at a reasonable price."

"Nusa Dua is a halal Indonesian restaurant in the heart of theatre land. The interior is simple yet exquisite, offering cosy booth style seatings. The picture show cases the protagonist dishes that we ordered. The top dish was the Kambing Cabe Ijo Lamb chops, fried with green chillies pineapple. The sweetness of the pineapple is brilliantly balanced with the heat of the chillies. The chops, while well cooked; the texture was ever so slightly rubbery, indicating that the meat was not fresh in its preparation therefore most likely recooked. The flavours, even though not unpleasant, did not make the mouth salivate with salacious foodie desire. The bottom right picture was the Rendang...read more"

"I've ordered delivery from Kaya several times and have also dined in the restaurant, and I've always been quite impressed. However, today has been a different experience. My meal is more than an hour late (as I write this) and has still not arrived. When I called to inquire about it, the person on the other end shouted at me in a language I couldn't understand. The tone was unfriendly, and they hung up on me. Overall, the service today has been disappointing."

"We have had numerous take outs from here and are always fantastic. It's not cheap but quality is excellent and doesn't make you feel sluggish after eating. Our favourite is the set menu £18 pp) as it is huge and contains all of our fave options. Mixed starters; prawn toasts, spring rolls seaweed and chicken satay are delicious and not greasy at all. Next course is crispy duck, plum sauce and mini pancakes. Main course is sweet sour chicken, beef in black bean, stirfry veg and egg fried rice. All cooked to perfection and so much food!"

"Upon being greeted we immediately felt welcome and comfortable. The aesthetics may be limited but the manners and warm smiles are far from it. We sat down and ordered a two courses, the first of which arrived promptly. Spring rolls which were packed well. The main course wasn't far behind which was great, I even sent my compliments to the chef. Would highly recommend you support this small local business, tucked away in the bowels of Headingley. Hope this helps Vegetarian options: Great Dietary restrictions: Facilitates vegan/vege well Parking: It's a busy suburb so was difficult"

"This is our go-to place for Chinese food. The prices are on par with other restaurants in East Sussex. The staff is very efficient and accommodating, especially when it comes to food allergies. The dining experience is pleasant, and the atmosphere is really nice, with excellent parking available. I haven't encountered any of the negative remarks from locals that some have mentioned, especially regarding Hurst Green."

"I typically do not review one-time events, pop-ups, or launches on my blog. If an event is excellent, it seems excessive to boast about an evening that no one else can experience, and if it is negative, I would rather just move on. It is always appreciated to be invited to such events, but I strive to provide useful recommendations in my reviews. Whether you agree with my opinions or not, I aim to guide you in the right direction - whether that means avoiding a particular establishment or recommending a specific dish."

"However, the disappointment came with the yuk sung. I've had this dish from many different places across the UK for years, and unfortunately, this is one of the few takeaways that can't get it right. When I opened the tray, the overpowering smell of onion hit me, and the taste was overwhelmingly oniony as well. Strangely, it also had a sweet flavor—I've never encountered a sugary yuk sung before, and it definitely should not be so onion-heavy. I ended up throwing it out, which was a waste of good money. It looks like it will be a few more years before I make my way back here, and when I do, I will definitely be skipping the yuk sung."

"No no no no! Chicken satay main course on the skewer was ordered, what was received was another matter. First of all instead of a separate sauce it was sploshed over top of chicken skewers in tub so it was virtually impossible to get meat...from skewers without it falling all over the floor. I use the word meat very loosely here, what was on the skewer resembled stringy rubber more than meat! The sauce was thick, globular, minimal with a few bits of under cooked onions thrown in no peppers etc as typical in a satay). This main course cost just under £10 and was swiftly put in the wheelie bin ! An eating experience I will not/ would hate to repeat ever again!"

"What can I say about this restaurant and takeaway..... excellent springs to mind. The food is really good and I have yet to find a better Malaysian and Chinese. Run by a family you can certainly tell by their attention to detail. Always warmly welcomed,...whether we ordered a takeaway or ate in. I love the spicy beancurd for starters (spicy chillis and the crispy lettuce and lamb is so nice. The vegetarian dumplings are so good too I could order loads of starters and skip the main course! However, the mains are just as good I recommend the lamb rendang or the Prawn sambal as my two favourites!! The restaurant is cosy and a great local restaurant, but a takeaway is always good too. Without a doubt I'd recommend this place to anyone in the area as the food is sooooo good (and I have unfortunately we have now moved to a different area and I do miss this place. I do wish them every success as they totally deserve it!"
