"Lovely, comfort food. I really liked the beef rendang and the roti canai was crispy and fluffy. The prawn laksa was also nice but I didn’t think the chicken wings were great they were a bit too oily for me. Overall, great service, particulately given Covid times. Clean restaurant."

""The food and service at the Westfield Stratford Mall are excellent. I ordered the Nasi Lemak with chicken, which was served by Chef Arjun and Salma, who I believe is the server. The dish was well-prepared, with just the right amount of seasoning and not overpowering. The coconut milk in the Nasi Lemak was cooked perfectly, and the sambal was not too spicy. The chicken was slightly spicy, adding to the overall hearty taste of the dish.""

"Stopped by after a day hiking up snowdon so we were ready for a feast and not in a fussy mood. However, the portion sizes were little to be desired which was very disappointing considering the above average price we paid for a takeout. On the bright side the crispy beef was really tasty but unfortunately the salt pepper chicken, seaweed, rice and chow mein were all quite bland. Was far from the worst Chinese I’ve visited but wouldn’t visit again. And no prawn crackers having spent £45!!"

"Booked for 12.30 the night before our Sat visit and was told we would only have one hour but if we could come at 12, which we couldn't, we would have one and a half hours. Pleasant greeting on entering and shown straight to our table and given menu's. The waitress advised us everything was cooked fresh so would come when each dish was ready not all together and wouldn't be quick. We decided against starters due to our limited time and gave our food choices and opted for organic coffees. There was no alcohol on the lunch menu and I don't know if evening menu's have alcohol, likewise there was no dessert on the menu. Our coffees took quite a while to arrive but it was 10 past 1 before the last meal arrived with the reminder we had to leave by 1.30. The food was beautifully presented and tasted delicious. We did not use the toilet so can't say whether there was one or where it was. Having read reviews we knew we were in for a good experience and all in all we enjoyed our visit but would have liked a bit longer to savour our food. As a footnote we parked in the car park behind the bus station and wondered why lots of cars were parked all along the side of the access road. We found out when trying to pay there was no cash option only card which we tried several times to do before a kind gentleman advised us how to do it so be warned if you are tech dinasours like us!"

"This restaurant being one of the very few halal places in china town, myself and my husband decided to eat here. What a disappointment it was! We paid £40 for a meal we did not enjoy one bit! None of the food was fresh, you...could tell all of it was cheap ingredients. I’m pretty sure our food was just warmed up in a microwave or something. Chicken satay sauce was strange and lumpy, chicken satay itself was black burnt in places , I took a bite and immediately stopped eating it because the chicken looked pink on the inside and was chewy. The chicken in our noodles was fatty , rubbish little over cooked egg on the side of the plate , tasteless prawns , stale prawn crackers.. it was like a rubbish Chinese take away reheated on a plate. We asked for the service charge to be taken off our bill which apparently “couldn’t be taken off” big scam! AVOID AVOID AVOID!"

"We've just had our first meal in there and wow what an experience! Having battled to find a decent chinease eatery in our area for 18 months, we decided to give this place a go! Greeted by all the staff when we entered, a first in any restaurant, food was amazing, hot and more than enough! Doggy bag for later. The staff were attentive and friendly every time they approached. I asked if they deliver to our area, which they thankfully do, and the next thing, the woman brought over a take away menu for me. Well done #chinagaga for excellent food and service."

"I've ordered delivery meals from Kaya multiple times before, and eaten at the restaurant as well, and been quite impressed. However, today, my meal is nowhere in sight more than an hour (at the time of writing) after it should have arrived, and when I phoned to ask where it was, the person on the other end of the telephone shouted at me I don't know what they said as it wasn't in English, but the tone was not particularly friendly and hung up. Service: Delivery"

"Came here to order takeout, the guy at the front was really nice ^ he even made us a custom dish not on the menu. The service was fast, reasonably priced and was one of the best Chinese takeout I've had! I'll be coming to try eating in the restaurant."

"Upon being greeted we immediately felt welcome and comfortable. The aesthetics may be limited but the manners and warm smiles are far from it. We sat down and ordered a two courses, the first of which arrived promptly. Spring rolls which were packed well. The main course wasn't far behind which was great, I even sent my compliments to the chef. Would highly recommend you support this small local business, tucked away in the bowels of Headingley. Hope this helps Vegetarian options: Great Dietary restrictions: Facilitates vegan/vege well Parking: It's a busy suburb so was difficult"

"Used this restraunt and had many takeaways over the last 18 monthsFood is generally very goodWhat isn’t good is the lady owner who is greedyA couple of times I asked for the brown Thai crackers when spending £25/30 and was asked to pay £2. Frustrating but ok.Spent £75 on a family take away and asked for brown crackers as I don’t enjoy the white onesWas told I have to payMe and my cousins husband just looked at each other in disbelief and I said I just spent £75 and have not been in since.I also find charging £7.50 for Pak Choi well overpriced it’s a green veg.."

"First visit in a few years and the lady serving is great, really friendly. Placed a basic order, felt like a cheat meal and had chips curry which were fine (no salt on chips, perhaps you have ask these days). Also ordered salt chilli chicken wings but was given salt and chilli chicken shame it wasn't what i ordered but still enjoyed it, full of flavour, tasted as unhealthy as it should do.. The negative was definitely yuk sung. Had this dish for years from numerous different places in the UK and unfortunately this is one of the few takeaways that cannot prepare the dish. On opening the tray you were overpowered by the smell of onion and on tasting it, it was full of onions and strangely had a sweet taste to it never had a sugary yuk sung before and it should never be full of onions. Will probably be a few more years before I return and when I do will be avoiding yuk sung for sure had to throw it out, waste of good money unfortunately"

"We heard of the special night for Jam Delish Jam Independence Day and had to go!!! There were some beautiful touches like Jamaican flags and Jamaican music that gave a great ambience. Eating is a bit expensive, but it is worth for the amazing taste! Favourite items were the Curry goats and shrimps. The best part of the night were our amazing servers Leslie and Beth that were so friendly and funny and really made the entire experience. They made us as special and appreciated as customers. Thanks Leslie and Beth for your attention and humor, we will definitely be back!!!"

"No no no no! Chicken satay main course on the skewer was ordered, what was received was another matter. First of all instead of a separate sauce it was sploshed over top of chicken skewers in tub so it was virtually impossible to get meat...from skewers without it falling all over the floor. I use the word meat very loosely here, what was on the skewer resembled stringy rubber more than meat! The sauce was thick, globular, minimal with a few bits of under cooked onions thrown in no peppers etc as typical in a satay). This main course cost just under £10 and was swiftly put in the wheelie bin ! An eating experience I will not/ would hate to repeat ever again!"

"What can I say about this restaurant and takeaway..... excellent springs to mind. The food is really good and I have yet to find a better Malaysian and Chinese. Run by a family you can certainly tell by their attention to detail. Always warmly welcomed,...whether we ordered a takeaway or ate in. I love the spicy beancurd for starters (spicy chillis and the crispy lettuce and lamb is so nice. The vegetarian dumplings are so good too I could order loads of starters and skip the main course! However, the mains are just as good I recommend the lamb rendang or the Prawn sambal as my two favourites!! The restaurant is cosy and a great local restaurant, but a takeaway is always good too. Without a doubt I'd recommend this place to anyone in the area as the food is sooooo good (and I have unfortunately we have now moved to a different area and I do miss this place. I do wish them every success as they totally deserve it!"
