"This restaurant being one of the very few halal places in china town, myself and my husband decided to eat here. What a disappointment it was! We paid £40 for a meal we did not enjoy one bit! None of the food was fresh, you...could tell all of it was cheap ingredients. I’m pretty sure our food was just warmed up in a microwave or something. Chicken satay sauce was strange and lumpy, chicken satay itself was black burnt in places , I took a bite and immediately stopped eating it because the chicken looked pink on the inside and was chewy. The chicken in our noodles was fatty , rubbish little over cooked egg on the side of the plate , tasteless prawns , stale prawn crackers.. it was like a rubbish Chinese take away reheated on a plate. We asked for the service charge to be taken off our bill which apparently “couldn’t be taken off” big scam! AVOID AVOID AVOID!"

we met with friends (one of the Indonesian descent) for dinner and planned to have Indonesian food, but we were all quietly disappointed at eating.

dreadful eating and appalling service. this place was earlier ok. no more. not sure what the attraction to this place is. read the repeated bad reviews.

This restaurant is awful. The food was gross, the service rude. Two waiters were arguing about something. We asked for the bill to be told it was cash only so one of us had to go and find an atm. An honest business would inform...customers of this beforehand. Avoid at all costs.

We were a bit desperate for some food so popped in here. Wish we’d read the other reviews before we did! Service was random at best, food arrived too quickly to be cooked fresh, and just wasn’t good. Meat had a weird texture. At least...it was pretty cheap. Couldn’t get finished and leave quick enough…

chinatown was really busy and we discovered this place with a free table. we had mee goreng and nasi goreng with something extra ayam sate and it was all good. not cheap at about gbp30, but we find this in whole london. they supplement. a service fee that we were not so happy about it because there was really no service! the food is set and that was it. I didn't want it to be removed, but it was bad.

The food was terrible. They should be ashamed to serve this to people and have them believe this is indonesian food. The nasi goreng was just rice mashed up with kechup manis, the satay was burnt black and they put peanut sauce over the black...bits. My wife is indonesian and she was amazed. There were Chinese people in the restaurant openly complaining and telling them this is not nasty goreng. I paid 50 quid for something that is worse than a microwave meal from seven eleven.

Arrived and no one even greeted us for at least 15 minutes. Place was so busy there was hardly enough room to move. Menu was confusing. Looked like the popular choice was for food to be served raw and you cook it yourself. Me snd...my boyfriend went for something different. All the chicken was nasty no breast meat and felt like off cuts. We didn’t pay all the service charge and the staff had the cheek to ask for this when we left! Will not return. Also just to add the toilet cleanliness was atrocious.

I visited here yesterday for a birthday lunch, and it was such a terrible experience from beginning to end The food was cold, gloopy and substandard, the attitude of the staff, I can only compare to being served by moody teenagers who have just...been just been told off by their parents, slamming down the plates, no smiles, no warmth, no welcome. I'm not sure what happended to this place, it used to be really good, but when the best thing about it is the exit, then you know it's bad. Don't waste your money.
