"I’d been looking forward to a meal here for many years and after our experience I had to wonder why. The food was mediocre and that’s being kind. We thought we were off to a good start, as the mackerel beetroot rhubarb and fresh horseradish hit all the right notes. The fish was lightly pickled, as were the other elements, each done in a slightly different brine, and it was fun, playful and tasty. The rest of the meal was a mess. A boiled artichoke was simply plunked on a plate and served with a thick vinaigrette. This is something we do at home all the time, but getting the inedible choke out was a real chore with a fork and dull knife- who wants to fight with their food at these prices? Mains were both hugely disappointing. A tough bit of sliced lamb rump was served with an oily mint sauce which didn’t do a thing for the dish. My pie of rabbit and Guinea fowl was full of bone. The sauce inside the pie was not creamy and rich but rather a very thin broth. While the flavour of the broth was good, it just didn’t belong underneath a crust. When I questioned the server he said that if a pie contains either rabbit or Guinea fowl, traditionally it’s served this way. I have to wonder why. We had some just okay drinks to start, and a glass of very ordinary Champagne with the mains. Though we were really looking forward to desserts which sounded delicious, we knew at this point they probably wouldn’t be so asked for the cheque. The room is nice and service was okay, but the food was inexcusable at this price. Sadly it seems like a tourist trap- the best thing about it? The cute menus."

"that is a pub. what I mean by this is that it is the place where the old men of the opposite come to watch the football, the families come for a meal with their children and the people who are visiting are said to try the food specialties. after a long walk around the opposite I came over this pub and decided to dive for a drink. while it is in the center of london, it does not seem like a trendy destination; rather a good old pub known to the locals and kept secret for the tourists in the surrounding hotels relatiw. it is quite small in size, with Victorian themed decor and screens play sport. they seem to try to eat and drink; I tried the winter warmth pills, which tasted like sweet clam apfelsine with an extra fruity layer and was pretty. the food I saw some of the other moss eating looked delicious and I wish I had tried something myself. I would recommend his place for people who want to go out of the park with their family and then eat some lunch or dinner and drink some drinks."

"This location is split into two areas - a bar and a restaurant. The bar can get a bit loud, especially on a Friday night, so we decided to dine in the restaurant. We found it to be a charming spot with friendly staff, tasty meals, and affordable prices. If we find ourselves back in Scotland, my fiancé and I will definitely return here. Highly recommend checking it out."

"I had to change the time of our booking because I was running late, but the staff were very helpful. We had a table for two, and one of us ordered a delicious soup for a starter while the other decided to wait for the main course. After waiting for an hour for our mains, our waitress apologized and explained that they were serving meals upstairs in the bar, so it was really busy. To make up for the wait, the waitress brought us a large complimentary glass of wine. The food was delicious and very filling, with probably the best gravy around. We will definitely be back for another visit."

"Visited the Ebrington Arms many years ago and was impressed. I'm please to report nothing has changed. It's a charming pub in the Cotswolds that serves great food but it still a pub, with a welcoming pub atmosphere and good beer. They also accommodated my son's food allergies with no fuss something that often makes eating out as a family problematic. Highly recommended."

"This was the first time we had been here. I will definitely be visiting again. The service was fantastic despite being a little early for our table. Didn’t have to wait for anything. We all went for the roast lunch option which has to be one of the tastiest i’ve Eaten out. Was excellent value for money."

"Unfortunately I had to give one star of each as it would allow me to continue we had a table booked and confirmed with a dome booking that was given complimentary on the original booking as the venue had a private function on and couldn’t seat us in the restaurant thought it would be a nice change as celebrating the wife’s birthday arrived 10mins early to find out that they had put our reservation in the diary and was nothing they could do for us we were the first to arrive for the dome seating so not sure why one of the other parties weren’t told they couldn’t have their meal so we were given the option to have a table in restaurant where they had a private at 7.30pm so would have been in the way of people or rebook but this was my wife’s birthday meal we ended up trying to find elsewhere the lady that served us asked where are you going on a Saturday night at 7pm don’t know as we weren’t expecting to have to go elsewhere being honest don’t think we would be giving it another try has left a bad taste"

"We had our engagement dinner at this restaurant two years ago, and decided to return for our 1st anniversary. The first time we dined here, the ambience was beautiful with many locals enjoying drinks at the pub, and the food was exceptional. The staff were all very friendly, creating a special atmosphere. However, on our recent visit, it seemed like a completely different place. We had a reservation for 6 o'clock and were the only ones dining, except for one other family. Although the menu sounded promising, we were disappointed with our burgers and veggie chili. The burger patty was small and unimpressive, served in a plain bun like you would find at a fast food truck. The fries appeared to be frozen, rather than freshly cut and fried as they were before. The portion sizes were also quite small, and we decided to skip dessert as the only option was Eton Mess. We paid £31 for our meal, including a bottle of water, which seemed quite expensive for the quality of food we received. The woman behind the bar was friendly, but it was evident that there had been many changes. It was mentioned that a new menu would be introduced the next day, and the chef had just started that week. Overall, we were disappointed with our experience, which put a slight damper on our otherwise lovely anniversary celebration. I doubt we will return to this restaurant unless we can be assured of the same high standard of food and atmosphere we experienced before."

"We booked and attended during COVID times so please bear that in mind when reading. The wifi didn 't work and there was nothing to say that they knew of the problem, so spent ages (add did many others because mobile reception is poor in the area) trying to log in to order food and check in with the COVID app before asking and finding it would just say 'connecting please wait '. We ordered and then waited 90 minutes for the food. Shortly after ordering a burger we were told that they had run out of all burgers. A short time later another table had the same response but then were told that they had one left. The food was OK but certainly not up to the prices quoted. The soup was luke warm and in desperate need of seasoning. Mac and cheese tasted like it had come from a tin. It possibly hadn 't but that was the impression. The pork curry tasted like pork in blitzed tinned tomatoes with some onion and pepper to give some spice. Again, needed seasoning. Just nothing special. They did provide (unrequested) some free bread and dipping oils whilst we were waiting. The staff were all very helpful and pleasant. The Deverill beer, a local ale was excellent and tasted well conditioned. The staff were all very helpful and pleasant. The pub was scrupulously clean with good COVID compliance. We would go back to give them a second chance these are difficult times especially for the hospitality trade."

"Landlord Ivan was the reason for my repeated visits. He is a singular man. Also the 'regulars ' were welcoming and friendly. The best Guinness anywhere. Sadly, I no longer have reason to travel thousands of miles from Australia to Northern Ireland, (the person I was visiting has no wish to see me again) but if I am ever that way again, I would call in for the craic. "Have been here many times usually have the Breakfast Baguette, coffee sometimes fresh orange juice, which is not only delicious but extremely good value. There is a a wide selection of food on the menu, even snails or onion soup for breakfast if you fancy it, delicious cakes pastries, croques etc of all sorts. This is run by a French family with mostly French staff so they know what they are doing. Often very busy so service is sometimes similar to Gordon Ramsay 's kitchen, who coincidentally lives round the corner. Monsieur, who doesn 't suffer fools gladly, is sometimes quite 'French ' in his humour which some customers interpret as rudeness though I find very amusing quite refreshing! An unpretentious, entertaining down to earth menu of French food in Battersea."

"We got there at 12.30 and after 30 mins we managed to get a drink. We managed to get a bench outside to sit at as I am disabled. My daughter went to queue up for chips and burgers for the children as we thought it would be the quickest and how wrong were we . 45 mins later and only 2 people serving we decided to call it a day. Everything looked dirty, the bouncy castle/train was unusable because it was full of water , moss and leaves. They advertised it and didn’t even clean it, it was disgusting. The so called farm was just a few dirty enclosures with not much grass and a few chicken , and sheep in. We left after not being able to get food for ages and went into Maidstone to get something. Never will we go back there as there was just a lack of staff. 2 cooking food and taking money and 2 people serving in the bar. I was in the trade for 25 years and you always get extra staff when you have some kind of function on."

"if they want breakfast or lunch, full of taste, handmade on the ground, cheap and boot from a local business, then they are not looking further than others. there are vegetarian and vegan options, so all diet requirements are met, and despite its compact interiors they can dinate or take away inside. what is better is that if one of their salads are not on the display, they can freshly it for them, there and then while they wait. customer support is at this place of utmost importance, so that it always adapts and comfortable, that is one of my highlights. my others are their breakfast bagel (if they are not vegetarian) and their salads with additional toppings can order them."

"This traditional pub, wow, great food, great service, good prices, always full and busy!! Had a really good experience at The Dennington Queen (again), and had some amazing food, but the service, everyone we dealt with couldn’t be more helpful, we had just about the right amount of attention without it being intrusive which made for a great evening. Choices were excellent, even for vegan food and they were happy for us to mix and match choices around. Cauliflower starter is insanely good, as was the sweet chilli chicken and sticky toffee pudding! Coming back again before we go home."
