"There were 5 people In our group for lunch, 2 vegans, 2 veggies and an omni. 4 of us actually ordered from the vegan menu and 1 ordered a vegetarian dish. My main issue was that 2 of us (myself being vegan and the omni in the group! ordered the flat bread from the vegan menu it didn’t advertise coming with chips but when we ordered our waiter asked us which chips we would prefer so we both asked for sweet potato fries. When the fries came out they had cheese on them (despite us clearly ordering from the separate vegan menu . I’m not sure if this was an error on the waiter or the kitchen’s part but the waiter apologised. I shared the fries with one of the vegetarians in the group so I just avoided any that had cheese on them, however I’m now wondering whether actually they were not cooked in a separate fryer and this is why they weren’t on the vegan menu!? In terms of staff knowledge I was also disappointed when I asked what type of plant based burger it was on the vegan menu (I.e. meat substitute or bean based etc and our waiter didn’t know or really seem to understand the question (and didn’t offer to find out . That’s why I chose the flat bread instead and then had the cheese issue! My second main issue is that the food was pretty average especially considering the price. 3 of us had the vegan chocolate tart advertised as coming with fresh berries. (2 of us originally ordered the treacle tart which was sold out, fair enough . However 2 of us can’t eat strawberries so asked for the tart without them, expecting other berries instead, however the only berry on the third tart was a solitary diced strawberry! The tart was also pretty small considering it didn’t come with any accompaniment but cost £6.25! Overall it’s great they’re trying with a vegan menu but my view is that they must try harder!"

"This is undoubtedly the best café in Rugby. The food is outstanding and reasonably priced. The menu offers a wide variety, ranging from a hearty full English breakfast to deliciously rich creamy pasta dishes that could keep you satisfied for days. Additionally, the chef prepares daily specials like perfectly cooked liver and onions, koftes, and today's special was a Stilton burger accompanied by the best onion rings I've ever tasted. The staff are friendly and attentive, providing excellent service. Visit the Clifton Café; you won't be disappointed!"

"Have been in this branch half a dozen times and only ever 1 problem. Not so this time. Menu cut down in size. Burger bun burnt, burger drier than the sahara, chips all end bits and tasteless. Came on a tin foil plate with bit of coloured paper on top. Sea food linguine, had to look hard to see the seafood. Back to serving Bills Cider , which I would rate as bad as Strongbow, Magners. What happened to Aspalls. Now adding service charge. Definitely last visit ever to any of their branches. Such a pity as had so many good meals here and Reading/Westfield London"

"I booked Bill 's Covent Garden well in advance for my 50th birthday meal. There were 11 of us altogether. We left our unfinished cocktails at Tequila Mockingbird in order to get to Bill 's in time for our booking at 7.30pm. We arrived in time and were told that the table was not ready and to wait outside. We waited for 30 minutes during that time no one came out to update us on what was happening. When a member of our party asked when our table would be ready and explained that it was for a special occasion the manager said and I quote 'Everyone here is special '. We were not implying that we were more special than other diners, only that it was a special occasion and having to wait 30 minutes in the cold with no explanation was not a great start. When we were finally seated we were given no table water until we asked for some 15 minutes after sitting and it took a further 20 minutes for anyone to come over to take our drink order (after having to go and ask! A member of our party spoke to a senior member of staff (unsure if manager or deputy manager about the situation and that what was to be a special occasion was turning into a terrible night. Then the manageress (short blonde hair not sure of name came over and interrupted the conversation, was very rude and aggressive claiming we were being deliberately obtrusive. When we explained how long we had to wait, the lack of awareness and service at our table and that what was to be a special night was being ruined she seemed to calm down and two bottles of complimentary prosecco sent to our table. We then had a further extended wait before our order was taken. Between when we arrived at 7.30 and when we received our food was an hour and a half. The managers left before we asked for the bill and were not around to support the staff when we found discrepancies in the bill. The manageress of this Bill 's was terrible and had an absolute lack of any customer service whatsoever. She would not acknowledge that the long wait times were a problem and in fact implied that we were the problem. The wait staff however were lovely and understanding of our situation. This was a memorable birthday but not in a good way. Avoid."

"not really Thai food lovers. probably one of the least tasty Thai meal I had. I took my friend who was an Olympic visit in the country, in the epsom thai. it was a last night special meal and I was embarrassed in the low quality. the Tom-Yum soup we had was really salty and tasted nothing like tom yum tom yum, is characterized by its pronounced hot and acidic aromes and fragrant ceremonies like lemongras, kaffir lime leaves, galangal, limette juice, fish sauce and crushed chili pepper. we could just try fish sauce, nothing else. "We visited during the October school holidays with our 6.5 year old and 4 year old. Lunch boxes for kids are great and freshly made as our daughter has olive spread alternative to butter so we asked for her cheese wrap not to have any...butter on it which the kitchen were able to do. Our soup and paninis were delicious and hot. Really filling and again, homemade and fresh. My haggis and cheese panini sank me...we'll sort of! Can't come here without eating their ice cream which is always on point. I went for their coconut sorbet. Kids had sprinkles and marshmallows on their ice cream cones which were very generous portions whilst my wife enjoyed her chocolate milkshake. What makes it a great family destination is their outdoor play park and bouncing pillow. Kids had fun burning off their lunch and ice cream. There is also a small indoor play area which we used to use when the kids were younger. Service was good and excellent value for money. Enjoy!"

"We were celebrating my father’s 89th birthday. The staff on arrival were very attentive, the restaurant itself is elegantly and tastefully decorated, with a truly homely feel. We were shown to our table which was perfect for our large family group. The delicious food was served promptly. The staff were aware it was a birthday celebration and suggested for a bit of fun to serve a birthday brownie after our meal with sparklers and candles finishing off a lovely experience. We all agreed staff were faultless"

"I never had a bad experience here. wow! I can not recommend this special bill enough . it has been incomparable to other bills I have been, the staff are so incredibly friendly and the service speed is amazing for the quality of the food. I had the set menu in general and dessert. all vegan beetroot steak with chips and estragon mayo- fantastic meal! the steak was the perfect texture, but if they don't like salt, it's not for them, the only thing I can criticize, how crazy salty the steak was. every other aspekt was there. the estragon mayo is a perfect sauce for everything if I am honest, my partner even took some and paired it with her fish finger sandwich. the caramel and chocolate tar came with a ball of cocosus sorbet and crushed oreo cookie and oh my goodness wow. such exquisite taste and texture (personally I don't like cocosnus, so I would preferably have lemon or celestial, because the cocosnus ended tasting like cocos oil.) the crispy basic was wonderful and it is a perfect dessert overall. very recommend this restaurant for all times of the day, vegan friendly and excellent quality. edit: will recommend once again with the addition of some more pictures - vegan watermelon and feta salat and huh with chalk."

"Luckily we booked as this is a particularly busy place, however this means the staff are pretty rushed and therefore I didn’t feel there wasnt any personal touches, as in a chat with your clientele or a smile from the guy who showed us to our table, the waitress who served us was very nice. The food was ok, not really seasoned and quite bland, the tea was warm, not piping hot as it should be. This is a busy restaurant, mainly because of the name, I don’t live far away and would visit here again if everything had been really good, however I went to non branded restaurant later that day where the staff were happy to chat and be busy and the food was delicious and hot. "It was raining in Reading last Saturday afternoon and i needed a place to wait whilst my husband had his Covid jab. I saw a sign outside Bills saying festive cocktail, £2.99. What? £2.99 for a cocktail, that can't be right!? I went in and found a lovely table by a fireplace. The cocktail soon came and it was amazing, beautifully decorated and tasted delicious. This tempted me to look at the food menu. It was approaching 5pm and they were changing menus. I text my husband and asked him to join me when he finished his jab, as we hadn't booked anywhere. SO glad we decided to stay and eat as the food was simply outstanding. We eat out ALOT and most of the time come away feeling dissatisfied or short-changed, but everything about Bills was perfect. We shared the mezze starter and my hubby had the festive burger which he said was the best he's ever had (he's a burger expert). We finished with the festive Xmas cheesecake served in a real plant pot! Everything about our experience was amazing, from the food, to the ambience and the service. So much so that I will be organising a festive group dinner there next year!"

"I ordered beans on toast and a cappuccino, then found a seat in the cafe. The cafe was extremely cold, and the door would not stay shut on its own despite the faulty pneumatic door shutter. This meant I had to get up and close the door every time someone came in or out. There was only a small electric heater in the cafe, which didn't do much to warm the place up. By the time my beans on toast arrived, they were cold because I had to keep getting up to close the door. I ended up leaving some beans and toast uneaten, and was charged £6 for the meal, which I thought was way too expensive."

"Great location in Liverpool One Centre. We ate at Browns and shared the belly-busting mixed starter which included asparagus with the most overwhelmingly buttery sauce, pulled pork croquettes and popcorn chicken. I had a big hearty steak pie with a flaky pastry crust with a mulled wine topped with cinnamon sugar on the side. My mum had lamb chops with a little mini shepherds pie to go with it which was a bit of a meat overload, but some people like that, right? The rhubarb ice cream got me really excited but it fell massively short of the mark and was far too sweet and totally missed the sharpness of rhubarb."

"This was my first time visiting Clicia, accompanied by a friend who has frequented the restaurant several times before. Upon our arrival at 7.45, the place was empty, but quickly filled up after the local fireworks display had ended. With only one waiter, the service was a bit slow, but we weren't in a rush. The menu offered a variety of Turkish/Mediterranean options, and we both opted for mains. The salmon was excellent, while my fish medley was unexpectedly hotter and spicier than anticipated, but delicious when paired with creamy yogurt (which was promptly brought when requested). We enjoyed Efes beer with our meal and finished off with Turkish coffee. The waiter was friendly, and the ambiance was not too loud. Overall, a very nice experience - I just wish the restaurant was closer to my home!"

"Breakfast served beautifully, presentation on the pancakes was amazing, they were lovely and fluffy and fruit zingy. The traditional breakfast was great, I wasn’t a fan of the tomatoes and mushrooms it came with on the menu so the staff member happily suggested substituting for more sausage for no extra cost. Great choice as well because the cumberland sausage is to die for, egg yolks cooked to perfection along side the bacon and the sourdough bread was on another level. The fresh juices they offer are a steal for the quality, complete burst of flavour in your mouth and the same goes for the coffee which is served in a cute glass! Perfect breakfast before our little one’s arrival! Will definitely be returning!"
