"I met up with friends at the Battle Axes for lunch and, as always, it was a delightful experience. We received a warm welcome from Amanda upon arrival. The restaurant had a cozy and inviting atmosphere, and we were promptly seated at our table. Our drinks were served promptly and our orders were taken efficiently. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals, as well as the coffees and mini desserts that followed. Thank you to Alex for taking care of us during our visit. We hope to return again soon. It's always a pleasure to come back to such a friendly and welcoming pub. Many thanks to Amanda for a great experience."

"Liked it will go again... let's tell you why. The staff are nice some particularly more so than others. I only had a light starter dessert from the menu and I liked my food choices, see photos. They had a live singer performing in the garden and this really added to the experience. Seating indoors I loved and I didn't choose to sit out however there are plenty of seating spaces. Good sized car park and I noted off the table top publicity that there are some featured events coming up which I am planning on going to. FYI it's a Greene King pub and I was pleasantly surprised... defo going back!"

"This lovely pub offers excellent service and is dog-friendly. They have a variety of options for those with dietary restrictions, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free dishes. While their beer selection is limited (only one on tap), they have a great variety of spirits available. We look forward to returning to try some of their gin options. We tried the vegetarian Sunday roast, which included Stilton, mushroom and spinach Wellington, roast potatoes, vegetables, and a Yorkshire pudding. The portion sizes were very generous and the meal was delicious. We will definitely be back!"

"They married 35 years ago.. she had diligently looked after the family serving roast every weekend. She chopped peeled and prepared dutifully and relentlessly. It came to pass on the anniversary of her wedding day her husband promised to take her way from the mundane. She deserves more than this. He offered the whole world. London, New York, Paris, even Newport if she felt brave. My love I will take you wherever your heart desires he promised. She thought long and hard. This was an opportunity not to mis and important to get right. Where should she choose? She immediately knew. The White Eagle in Anglesey. They had been so many times before and it was her favourite. And so it was on the day of her anniversary she and the old bridegroom would make the long journey to this magical island to dine in and eat the most fabulous roast dinner ever. No chopping no roasting and most importantly no washing up.She couldn’t wait to taste the fluffy potatoes drenched in silky gravy, the delicious roast lamb an a Yorkshire pudding. This day could not come soon enough. She knew this place was of high renowned and had been disappointed in August. But not this time! Her plans had to be careful and calculated. She could not trust the feckless bridegroom who couldn’t possibly get this right.. she took into her own hands an emailed directly. She didn’t trust the book a table app she when’s straight to the front of house. Please prepare me the finest roast dinner. Her correspondence was received and acknowledged. The plan was concrete. She was reassured that this dinner was finally going to be hers. Delighted to happy couple drove nearly 100 miles. They had even got washed. At 3 pm they entered the fine establishment. The smell of the dinners was amazing. All the tables were full of diners stuffing their greedy faces with pork, beef and lamb drowning in gravy and topped with Yorkshire puds. She was ready, bring me my dinner! OH NO! CATASTROPHE! The wind hurled, the sounds echoed and were blood chilling. There are no dinners left! A cold chill ran though her every molecule. Unless you have ordered one, that is? Phew!! She proudly produced her email confirmation. She could breathe. The dinner was hers, she had her name all over it. It was going to be fine. Her bridegroom looked at her lovingly and told her not to worry. The dinner would come. She had done all she could. But dear reader, this was not to be. There was no dinner for either of them. And this is why this is a tale of woe. Little did anyone know that the booking was taken by a criminally insane serial dream killer. This unscrupulous villain did not inform the kitchen and there was no dinner. Woe to the bride and bridegroom. In misery they returned to their holiday rental, and did what she had done every Sunday for 34 yrs. Cooked her own roast dinner. Let this sad tale of woe be cautionary t the booker. Make sure the criminally insane don’t mess with your dinner and phone ahead the day before to get the dinner you wish for. The bride and bridegroom will live happily ever after and get to Dylan’s for a treat. White eagle we will see you in the summer and you had better not sell my dinner to anyone else."

"After a long walk along the canal, I popped into the Waterwitch on Easter Sunday with the intention of just having a quick coffee. The staff were incredibly welcoming, and the dishes coming out from the kitchen looked so tempting that we decided to order the Sunday roast. The food was wonderful—delicately cooked fresh vegetables, and the meat was incredibly tender. What I appreciated the most was that my roast dinner came with gluten-free Yorkshire pudding, which I had never been offered before. Even better, they could prepare the salted caramel and chocolate brownie gluten-free as well. Overall, it was a delightful experience, and one we look forward to repeating."

"I had a fantastic meal that offered great value for both the quality and quantity of food served. The prices were very reasonable, especially when considering the various promotions advertised around the restaurant, which featured good offers available on different days. I will definitely return and highly recommend it to everyone! xx"

"Another review covering a couple of visits (July, September). We had been previous customers prior to these chaps taking it over, so were curious to see how the transition would have gone. No fears a great venue, and we 've had two really good meals here. On the first occasion, it was shortly after re launch, and there were a couple of 'stumbles ' with the order. However the lovely waitress absolutely owned them, and it was handled extremely professionally. The carpaccio and toasted sourdough bread was excellent; lemon sole from daily menu was small but very tasty; carrot cake and ice cream was fantastic. 2nd visit involved an excellent burger, which was just right in terms of size of plateful. Fish n chips was a little watery, but absolutely huge! We definitely have this on our repeat visit list and have recommended it to friends, who also had a great meal."

"Had meal with wife starter and a main lovely staff no issues here was welcomed and they were freindly! Starter 5 porkbelly was nice plenty of fat so pork was tender the potatoe skins were made in house soft and bacon was crisped well so no issues with starter The carvery was a disappointment 2 as I could have made better my self even the wife could of done better and she can't cook Yorkshire puds over cooked (to much egg whites or not enough flour) so were risen pancakes! over cooked on top and under cooked on base (unless vegan 100% which then yuck as meat eaters can tell the diffrence need eggs and real milk in yorkshire) Roasts need either cooking on day not day before or atleast turned 2/3 time (bases were hard and tops were plastic) roasts need turning! Colliflower cheese needs more cheese sauce! It was dry Parsnips needed extra 10 15 mins cooking time Stuffing needed more moisture way to dry sausages and beef good quality and flavor no issues same as other veg cooked right It's a shame as a roast is serpost to be better than own roast or why go to eat out! My biggest fault 100% tho it was 100% uncomfortable to eat as under the conservatory part with out air flow circulation we both got cooked whilst eating Needs 100% better air flow Price per person: £30–40 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 2"

"I was having an afternoon out to Lulworth and discovered this wonderful restaurant. I had the filet of sea team. It was excellent full of flavour really enhanced by the squeeze of lemon juice. The fish skin crispy to perfection. I sat in the garden overlooking the wonderful view of the bay and cliffs drinking their great pale ale. Just what I needed after a hot trek to Durdle Door. The staff were very friendly. I didn’t stay there as only live an hour away. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Great view"

"Only the fourth time I've eaten here over the years but the food never disappoints. The reason why I haven't eaten there more is because they're fully booked a lot of the time! Walkability: Right on Deal seafront a flat promenade across the road. Food drinks: Tasty food reasonably priced £108 for three three course meals Inc 2 bottles of wine. Noteworthy details: Lovely location, good food and good service. Service: 5"

"Hugely disappointed with Sun Dancer, we’re in Nairn for 3 nights visiting from Edinburgh, we booked two nights at the Sun dancer as we’d visited and enjoyed dinner last year. Tonight was so disappointing, it was dire. I had the fish and chips, it should have not left the kitchen, not sure what quality control the chef has in place but any decent chef would not send out a dish with chips under cooked and fish with batter that was soggy and bland! I’m not sure if the fish had been frozen and the chips certainly suggested they were frozen. When you are in a party of 4 you don’t want to spoil the atmosphere by complaining but I ate little and did mention to the waitress when the plates were taken, her response was oh they like to get feedback! Really! .. she should have removed it from the bill! My friends mother had lemon posset! It was awful, hard and not as a posset should be, we did complain about that and to be fair to them they removed from the bill. We left a gratuity as it’s not the waiting staff’s issue however, being so disappointed with the quality of food and responses from staff, I unfortunately would not like to go back!"

"My son, who is almost 20, was asked for ID at the restaurant. Unfortunately, he had left his driver's license at home, so the bartender refused to serve him. It is understandable that they have to follow strict guidelines to avoid serving alcohol to underage individuals. Despite this, we decided to go elsewhere. In response to the owner's post, I believe that their duty of care is to prevent anyone under the age of 18 from consuming alcohol. Their policy regarding serving 25 year olds is their own decision. I used to enjoy dining at the Baker's Arms and was a regular customer a few years ago. However, we are currently enjoying an amazing all-you-can-eat Chinese meal at Hatfield Galleria, complete with a pint of beer, which I highly recommend to everyone."

"I visited this restaurant for the first time with a couple of friends. The layout was well done and inviting. The menu was okay, although there were not many fish options available, we still enjoyed our meal. The service provided by the lovely Irish waitress Elaine was excellent. The prices were average for this type of restaurant. Overall, the cost per person was between £20-30. I would rate the food a 4, the service a 5, and the atmosphere a 4 out of 5."

"we visited to dinner after the administration to pack a storno table, as the restaurant is fully booked. a warm welcome to the arrival and excellent service throughout. we dined from the main menu but next time will try the tasting menu. I had the lamb that was packed with flavors exceptionally and perfectly cooked. my friend went for the duck, which was again perfect great aromen and accompanied by a side of seasonal veg and potato cure. we divided the dark chocolate mousses, the divine was the candied orange peel and the chantilly cream were a decadent supplement. only a picture managed by each of the foods as was too good!"

"panis is a popular restaurant that opened about ten years ago in the historic center of newcastle. it was then the first Italian restaurant in the city, but it was so successful, offering good typical dishes from the south of the country, full of flavor and at good price, which continued to open more Italians near. During the night, the menu is a little more formal than half a day, pasta and pizza dishes replace the paninis, but they continue to cost between 6 and 8 pounds, desserts about 3 pounds, and with delicious bakery cake from cotta or grandmother with pine nuts, leaves room for them very well for less than 15 pounds, including drinks. The restaurant is full of students and young people. the Italian brothers who take care of the importation of panis so that the wines of Tucana, puglie and sicilia."

"we have an impromptu lunch. we had to find a waiter to take our order. the starters took old and were tasteless. I even had to wait until my best come after they brought my starter. we were not asked if we were in order for drinks between the curses. the mains took forever! Soggy batteries on my partner fish. my head was pleasant, but eating is just a little overpriced for what it is. we were never asked if everything was in order with our meal. a really nice environment and friendly staff, but bad price-performance ratio not the largest customer service. not even asked on the way out when everything was in order with our meal! they like to take their money .. repaid the obligatory surcharge. will not be back..."
"I come into the Grange when I visit from France to work with english disabled people. I am very impressed with Chloe, she could not do more for my family. This evening I came in alone and she recognised me straight away and knew my drink and had the time to sit and speak with me. Hopefully she will be again when I visit in December with family. There is no fault with anything, that's all I can say. And I used to own a restaurant that my son has bow taken over. I would highly recommend! If I came again and Chloe wasn't there I don't feel it would be the same. I'll be in again on 17th December for dinner."
