Had a lovely meal in very comfortable surroundings. Good food, good menu, good service, good value a really good evening.

We always receive good food and reliable service at a reasonable price. Even during the last two difficult years we have always enjoyed our weekly visits.

we went to Sunday dinner and it was such a nice experience. we had children with us and the food and service was excellent. daniel was so courteous and helpful and made it a wonderful Sunday afternoon for us. View menu

I then have the fillet steak burger with ripening the tasty and cooked to perfection my wife had the lamb snack that se said was perfect then what I can say about dessert eton mess...luvly and woman had fangipan

I went for my fathers birthday celebration with a large family group. Our waiter Rene was excellent, he was very good at his job and very attentive. Dealing with a large group can be difficult but he was exceptional. The food was great. A...very enjoyable evening.

Well we’re do I begin , me and my family came for my sons birthday we was greeted by a polite member of staff who we later learned was called Dan I think or Danny either way the service was amazing quick and was very...polite to me and my family we all had the trio roast which was amazing we was recommended desserts by Daniel and they didn’t disappoint the kids I made a mess was amazing

Me and my family came in for a Saturday evening we was met by a polite man called Daniel we was sat down are order was taken prompt service was amazing he made sure we had drinks when are glasses was running low , my...daughter fell over he helped her and made her go from crying to laughing made my parents and my daughter feel like this pub was made for family’s the food was amazing and so was the service you would never thought he has only been there days would highly recommend going here

It was just great to get back to a favourite venue for lunch. We had not been out for lunch more than a couple of times since the start of the lockdown and decided on the spur of the moment to go for a lunch...at the Battle Axes. Spacious car park which is always a plus. Warm welcome from Amanda. We hadn’t booked but she found us a table. Drinks were served and after a look at the extensive menu we were soon served. We both enjoyed our meal. It was good to be back and felt like visiting dear friends. Coffee was good. Toilet was spotless. All together a good visit back at last to a favourite pub.
