Coming to food itself, drinks menu is very creative especially the way coconut water (currently very trendy) is exploited in various drinks. Starters had great variety -mix of Indian street food (pao bhaji, bhel puri, bhalla, dosa, tikki, paneer tikka, sheekh kebab etc and tasteful. "We booked a table for a meal and we were disappointed. First of all the car park has a few spare spaces, but they are for people staying, so there’s no parking nearby, you have to spend half an hour looking around Blakeney for a space, which is hard work, or spend £6 on parking in the nearby car park. Secondly, The choice of food is very limited with not many of the pub Staples you normally expect to get. Only two mains for meat lovers, one for fish lovers and a vegan option. The small plate meals are also scarce and don’t come with rice or chips. You have to have a side of chips if that’s what you want. Our hand cut chips were over cooked in old oil and were soggy and over salted. The burger was undercooked and tiny. Poor value for £18. Only top of the expensive prices, they bill you for the optional service charge by default, so unless you want to create a scene, you end up paying it if you’re remotely shy or low in confidence. Inside it’s clean and spacious, quite a few dogs, and you don’t get a choice of where to sit. It’s just not a special place to visit, and for the prices, it should be. Oh the Adnams on draft is exceptional, but that’s it. Avoid. Service: 4"

"Superb, friendly service and a brigade performing at top level despite it being New Years day! Every dish perfectly executed and all courses fresh, flavoursome and both aesthetically and palate pleasing. Some really inspired cooking and perfectly balanced flavours for even the most jaded Christmas palate. Even the fries are cooked with love and are crisp and moreish. Such exciting dishes that dessert was swerved in favour of returning to the starters for scallops with a wowsering Hibiki Whisky Bacon Bon Bon. Cocktails are taken seriously here and are equally creative; this is no eatery just tipping its hat at mixology. Relax, enjoy the atmosphere and experience the fact this restaurant ‘does what it says on the tin’ it is most definitely’smokin’."

"I had a fantastic meal last night at Kia’s after finally visiting, even though I’ve lived just a minute away for the past four years! The menu offers so many choices that it took me quite a while to decide. I ended up choosing the Pesto Al Verde, which is fettuccine pasta with pesto, garlic, white wine, and cream, topped with pine nuts, arugula, and fresh Parmesan. It was the creamiest pasta I’ve ever tasted—absolutely divine! The portion size was generous, too. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, always eager to help. I can’t wait to return and try more dishes from the menu. Thank you for a lovely evening, Kia’s! Vegetarian options: There are plenty of choices for vegetarians! Even though I'm not vegetarian, I opted for a veggie dish because it sounded so delicious, and it truly was!"

"Visited here over the weekend. Diabolical service.. managers didnt know the head to their foot never mind how to serve a table.. 3 things we tried to order after waiting for 15 minutes that wasnt on the menu.. we complained after being there for 55 minutes and only receiving our starters to hear the managers stood slandering us.. and creamy mushrooms? Ive had more cream in a bourbon biscuit.. Didnt even get to try the main as we cancelled them.. 4 tables in the whole building and saying its busy! Ridiculous766 excellent reviews?? Them 766 are obviously not mentally there or used to a mcdonalds... i mean fast food takeouts have more manners than this place. If i had the option i would give a minus rating.. not even worth a 1!. Try some team training meetings on customer service and how to speak to people."

"I've been here about three times now with the family, including a wedding reception. Always a fairly stress free trip, plenty of parking and the staff are always friendly. The food is nothing short of excellent.... if you eat meat. The vegetarian options on my last visit were a risotto (I've already had it, you know what you're getting with risotto), a goats' cheese salad, vegetable ravioli and a burger. This time I ordered the burger, having seen what the meat ones look like. When it arrived I honestly thought there had been a mistake. A single slice of lettuce, a single slice of tomato and a deep fried something or other that was so oily I couldn't taste anything else. My Brother's pulled pork burger on the other hand was phenomenal. Why would I eat this when I could get better, for half the price at Wetherspoons? Really lame, really disappointed. It is not that difficult to produce quality vegetarian food. I actually felt quite upset and spent most of the meal staring at my half eaten food. Unfortunately, the next time the Nags Head is suggested I will veto it."

"Booked for a special birthday the Guildhall tavern did not disappoint. The food was special and cooked perfectly. We had 3 courses from the main menu. We also , ordered two bottles of wine to accompany the meal. The service was fantastic, when we asked for time before dessert arrived they must have had a stopwatch it was to the second. 30 minutes. The coffee just rounded a wonderful meal. We were not rushed, we even had a conversation with the head manager which was nice. and we were last out. I would highly recommend this establishment. It's not cheap but you get what you pay for and you get quality here. Thank you for an enjoyable time."

"On a cold winters night it was a real pleasure to call into The Five Horseshoes for a wonderful dinner. I have been here a couple of times and am never disappointed as the staff are always very cheerful and welcoming. We were seated at our table and served by Ellie, who was very attentive and pleasant, making sure we had drinks whenever we were getting low and ensuring our order was correct. I had Steak and ale pie and my wife had the Cod. Both were cooked to perfection and compliments to the chef for this. I would recommend calling into this restaurant if you are ever in the Hertford area."

"We have visited here on many occasions and found the food to be okay. Sadly the welcome seems to be a struggle for the existing staff these days. Visited and the pub was freezing cold when we asked if the heating could be turned on it was explained it was on …..but broken. Not helpful and the fire was totally inadequate. This is a beautiful old building so has its limitations but no heat when it’s 8 degrees is not acceptable. The food is okay fairly basic but well presented. A smile goes a long way and hides all kind of problems…..sadly missing from this team. We shall not be returning."

"Visited today for a Christmas present exchange with family, it was half way between where we live and where they live and purely booked for convenience. Lovely pub, the staff were excellent and we felt extremely safe and nicely distanced from other tables and the lunch was lovely. It’s beautiful inside and the menu has something for everyone and is good value and there’s plenty of parking. They were busy , but we were kept informed and didn’t wait too long and I would recommend. Thank you"

"My family of four frequently visits Stanley Gate restaurant. We appreciate that they always accommodate last-minute bookings. "I stopped by Tobermory during a cycling trip and found it to be the perfect spot for some photos of the charming "colored houses" lining the waterfront. "Alway been a fan of Chef Brewer as you know you are going to get good food and good value, so have been to many around our area, but The Fairmile is by far the BEST, we were greeted by Shaun who I honestly...thought was the manager by his totally efficient manner, had a lovely table and drinks were on the table in minutes, we had pate and the presentation was excellent, followed by the most succulent rump steak I’ve had in a very long while!!, will definitely be going again , and thank you Shaun for going the extra mile !! "Lovely restaurant. Lovely vibe. Dog friendly in seating area which is covered with strong heaters. Food amazing. Served by the beautiful, friendly Lily-Grace last night who gave us the food recommendations. Will definitely be back soon with friends. "We visited Oggi meaning today) on a cold November evening. The restaurant was brimming with people already at 6.45, so much so we skipped down to a local for 29 minutes until our table became available. The owner f the restaurant brought us delicious olives and bruschetta while we studied the menu. We were a table of 3 couples, four of whom had been close uni mates of 40 years. There was lots to catch up on, tears and laughter and clinking of glasses. The service was professional as yoi would expect from a good Italian restaurant. I am hard to please. I love good food, cooked well and this food was certainly the most delicious Italian I have eaten. Fat, sweet scallops in their shells, grilled with butter, cream and fine cheese. Rich and delicious. Fat, juicy king prawns cooked to perfection in a spicy tomato and garlic sauce. Thank goodness for the bread to mop up the delicious flavours. We ate pasta Oggi linguini with seafood, fresh cannelloni with ricotta and spinach, the best I have eaten, with such fresh flavours. We had fungi risotto with truffle oil and a portion big enough to feed two! We chose an organic Nero D’Avola from a single estate in Sicily. It was superb. Our host sang to us, recited beautiful poetry and brought a tear to our eyes with his generosity of sprit and honesty. I think each of us loved our experience and came away with a warm spot in our hearts for Reno and his superb Oggi, We will be back, for sure."

"We visited this restaurant for the first time today, and we were not disappointed! The food was cooked to perfection, the service was fast, and the staff were friendly and efficient. The atmosphere was cozy, and the entire place was impeccably clean. Plus, there is convenient parking and a wheelchair-accessible entrance. The Christmas decorations looked fantastic as well! This restaurant is a testament to a great team. Don’t hesitate to visit; there’s a wide selection of food and drinks on the menu at very reasonable prices! We will definitely be back! The hours are from 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM during the week and from 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM on weekends."

"Didnt start great We had booked 3 days before but when we arrived they hadn 't got us down, and blamed 'having a wedding ' as the reason they hadn 't written it. They did (literally) squeeze us in though. Fantastic food a seafood platter and antipasto sharer went down very well... All a bit crammed in like sardines though, to the point where the guy behind kept bashing into me! Also wasn 't keen to see people seating their dogs next to them on the outside seats paws on the table! The toilet signage made me laugh.... I was 'swettie ' but that was the heat of the day (see picture)"
