"I've been here about three times now with the family, including a wedding reception. Always a fairly stress free trip, plenty of parking and the staff are always friendly. The food is nothing short of excellent.... if you eat meat. The vegetarian options on my last visit were a risotto (I've already had it, you know what you're getting with risotto), a goats' cheese salad, vegetable ravioli and a burger. This time I ordered the burger, having seen what the meat ones look like. When it arrived I honestly thought there had been a mistake. A single slice of lettuce, a single slice of tomato and a deep fried something or other that was so oily I couldn't taste anything else. My Brother's pulled pork burger on the other hand was phenomenal. Why would I eat this when I could get better, for half the price at Wetherspoons? Really lame, really disappointed. It is not that difficult to produce quality vegetarian food. I actually felt quite upset and spent most of the meal staring at my half eaten food. Unfortunately, the next time the Nags Head is suggested I will veto it."

we booked for dinner and had luck enough to find a table next to the beautiful log fire. they left us there for our meal. the manager shared his ghost stories with us and the personal was great. friendly and helpful. our meal was good, really enjoyed it. big hit for us.

flawless eating and service. fast and very courteous service from the personal. honestly immaculate and the pub is simply stunning. we sat in the garden outside, which was covered in plants and trees with birds singing out their hearts. breathtaking place to rest after a walk.

Me and family visit here all the time. It’s an amazing pub with friendly hardworking staff. We go for drinks lots in the bar area which has a lovely aesthetic, however we eat sometimes too. The food is amazing and comes fast. I personally love the battered halloumi and chips! It’s the best veggie alternative for fish and chips I will be here a lot more!

very good steak! I had filet for 20 quid, which is very valuable. Woman had mixed grill and the whole meat was great to be honest. the sides and sauces again very good! Unfortunately, the chips were not three times boiled chips, as advertised. more like frozen chips of morrisons. if that meat was not so good, I would have given out of this ground 3*. Also worth mentioning was the service. contempt, but not over baring!

we visited today and although it was very busy (motherday) the manager managed to get us a table for 7 plus a child. the menu was great and eating was not disappointed. good size components and excellent quality. Although the employees were attentive and were also willing to make my enkel a cheese sandwich (his favorit) we had a meal with 3 cures for only £19.99 per person. excellent price-performance ratio. we even had a £5 voucher for the next one we will definitely use.
