Good menu nice variety and good vegetarian options.seating is comfortable, pub is light and spacious. Great service, very friendly helpful staff. Only down side was the music..too loud to have a relaxed lunch conversation. I think there is enough atmosphere without the additional intrusive noise.

have a birthday meal. eating was amazing. the menu has a variety and offers the choice for every palate. prices corresponded to food quality. the personal was attentive, professional and friendly. the place is beautiful and in a beautiful environment, with parking and beer garden. pet-friendly, but only in the garden. they will be recommending

Celebrated my daughter's birthday there this lunch time. Lovely pub with friendly staff. The mushroom soup was devine. We had belly of pork for main course, couldn't fault it. My other daughter had steak cooked medium rare with Stilton sauce. Absolutely gorgeous and generous portions. Unfortunately no room for dessert. Will definitely return as good variety on the menu. We had the best night for my daughters 18th. The staff were brilliant. We were a party of 12 adults and a baby. Nothing was to much trouble We ordered the child's food to come before ours as she needed feeding this was not a problem for them. All our food came out at the same time and was piping hot. We did look at going to a few other places first and non of theses other restaurants wanted to accommodate a party of 12 easily. The Nelson were brilliant and will definitely be back. Thank you to all the staff.

nice pub. good service, altho from any reason the girl we first greeted was interrupted by a guy server when she told us where to sit. I mean, she had her table under control here, so that it was a little weird. dessert should have been listed as desert, as the cake was too dry and either baked or let out to dry in a dry mouth experience. the mains were very good portions, freshly cooked, delicious and good value. space was clean. the parking lot was spacious with some very funny playing of high quality cars so badly parked to prove the park as they stole it:d we have a food. outside space and child area for daily use. good pub!

we had such a nice drink here on Mother's Day. very nice to see that the pub had a bit of a makeover since we left last and it looks fantastic. the drinks were good inexpensive and the service was ok, the young people who served on the bar looked all tired from a long day. outside is amazing for children, it has a play area with benches for families to sit and they have a massive field with tor posts with a football included in the delivery scope. this is a great location for families to eat and bring their children. great location to walk and the outside was kept clean and well presented at any time. music was a little loud out there, but it was okay when more people were squeaking around....
