"This restaurant served me the best meal of my life. We were at Eaglerock in Applecross for dinner, and I have to say the cauliflower and cheddar soup was the best I've ever tasted! It was incredibly rich and full of flavor. The duck confit practically melted in my mouth, while the sticky toffee pudding was wonderfully soft and sweet. Thank you for an unforgettable meal!"

"The office is a good little pint and chat place, the food however is a little substandard and they may forgot to add key ingredients to your dish… the decor is modern and has large couches available."

"I recently dined at this restaurant for the first time and I absolutely loved everything about it. The servers were attentive and the food was delicious. Although I don't typically enjoy sweet treats, I was pleasantly surprised by Mama's baklava and ice cream, which we shared. The service, meal type (dinner), and atmosphere were all top-notch, earning a perfect score of 5. I highly recommend trying the Lamb Souvlaki and Baklava dishes. The price per person was between £20-30."

"I attended the cafe on my own, the welcome was so warming and friendly, the aesthetic of this cafe is so calming I enjoyed looking around at all the stuff on the walls service was fast and easy I had my coffee and toastie in good time after ordering. The ice coffee was unreal I would recommend trying the ice coffee with roasted hazelnut syrup ! Amazing portion sizes for such a good price. My Ham and cheese toasted on brown seeded bread was unreal it is not over complicated just what you want. The salad on the side was refreshing I usual don’t touch salad and not bothered with it but it was finished before my toastie the cafe filled up quickly and the men worked so hard and well together to get orders out, I loved this beautiful cafe and will have to visit again !! "The entrance to the Kimberley Inn is hidden off the front but the welcome was warm. With a good selection of beers, lagers and ciders on draught there was plenty to choose from. The menu also had a good selection of starters including soups, haggis and pate but we close just to have a main course. The chicken burger was a lovely tasty butterflied breast of chicken in a thin batter with barbecue sauce served with chips and coleslaw. My husband had fish and chips which looked great a large fish in thin crispy batter. It’s about £17 each for main courses but we had no complaints as they were hot and tasty and the service was quick and friendly."

"fantastic. family had a brilliant time for an evening meal and eating and service was impeccable. from the arrival to the spacious parking space on the back with a recently built children's playground and with the magnificent vista, we had a great time. the area was very clean and well equipped. our waitress was very friendly and efficient. our drinks arrived very quickly. the food was very well cooked and very tasty. dessert was also spicy. bar area looked good at camp and aim to try it too. also friendly locals. there are also two outer areas, one on the front with the village as a view and one on the back with the landscape. I understand that they also have some rooms for rent on the side, but have not seen, so can not comment on it. overall we will definitely come back and stand up to try not earlier."

For main I had the classic burger which out of hundreds I tasted is right now top one for presentation flavour tenderness all you want in a burger! My partner had the Portuguese speciality little French was she was so in love with it that she is trying to replicate the sauce at home!! For desert we had slice of homemade carrot cake and chocolate fudge and again top quality! Service is as good as you can get the space is lovely warm and welcoming top 3 restaurants I have been definitely the best in Norfolk"

"We had the experience of Emilio’s this evening. Proceed with caution! I have never felt the need to leave a bad review before, Emilio’s has tipped me over the edge! To start We had the Pavarotti Prawns and the Melanzane parmigiana both failed to hit a high note, in fact failed to hit any note! The prawns were lukewarm with a hot fishy tomato based sauce ladled over the top. They were unpleasant. Turning to the Melanzane parmigiana, the aubergine was bitter, mushy and oily. Clearly reheated from frozen. Mains We had the duck special and a pizza Roma. The duck was nicely roasted but unfortunately covered in a thick grey salty slime, allegedly a peppercorn sauce. Frankly, unlike anything I have ever tasted and hopefully will never again! To accompany this grey slime we had some flaccid asparagus. The pizza base was thick, uncooked in the middle and covered in a sweet tomato base. It was sent back and reheated. When we enquired about the thickness of the pizza we were told that they could only cook a thick base. As unpleasant as the food was, it took a distant second place to the manager, who was confrontational, overzealous and thoroughly objectionable. Having read such good reviews we were bitterly disappointed with our experience and would not return or recommend anyone else to."

"Since March 23 this pub has been operating under a sub lease from Star Inns (Heineken been sublet to a pub company (WJS who in turn install managers, so 3 businesses trying to take revenue from one country pub. This has been a disaster for our village, we are on our 5th management team since March and we all hope the middle men WJS just disappear, they are the problem in the equation and continue to be so. However The current management team of Andy and Laura are doing a magnificent job. The pub is now clean, the food menu has been brilliantly refreshed with some magnificent seafood specials and they have recruited a very good team. In short Andy and Laura have massively turned this business around and is back to what it was, a wonderful local. Last night, lovely log fire, bar packed with locals (first time since March! and a wonderful atmosphere. Quite rightly this establishment has had some very well deserved horrendous reviews since March. (WJS hold your heads in shame and leave our village as soon as possible, horrible and unworkable business model However Andy and Laura are doing a magnificent job, the place is brilliant and anyone looking at previous reviews should ignore them and return to this now reinvigorated pub! H However"

"We have been passed this establishment a few times but there always seemed to be a queue. This time, while looking at the menu a lady came out and asked if we wanted a table. My wife can hardly walk and we were given a...table just inside the door and waiting for her to settle was no problem. Menu time, wide choice of items to choose from, I went for something called This and That. My wife, who is a fussy eater, selected a pasta dish with chicken and egg. Can't remember the name of it. The meals came and mine had a selection of salads, grated carrot, coleslaw, sliced red onion, black olives, shrimps, slices of orange, pineapple and pear, chicken, tuna, salmon and more. The plate was full of choice. My wifes dinner also looked good and plentiful. As she was eating it she thought there was to much egg in it,apart from that she enjoyed it immensley. We topped the meal off with pancakes for the wife and an eton mess for me. On the whole a very enjoyable experience. Will be back for more."

"Arrived on a wet Saturday afternoon with my wife and dog, all of us very wet and muddy having walked the coast path from the other side of Looe. We asked if they were happy with our bedraggled state and couldn’t have had a warmer welcome from both staff and locals. One of the ladies got us seated by the window were we spent a long afternoon eating beautifully prepared food with great local ales and well priced wine. A very memorable afternoon in a beautiful old pub made extra special by the great staff. Highly recommended and would love to visit again sometime."

"We found The Hungry Guest after looking for a brunch somewhere in and around West Malling and decided to try it after hearing mixed reviews. On entrance the café is lovely and welcoming, big and very well stocked with artisan style breads and premium teas and sauces for sale. We were served by a very friendly member of the team who joked and laughed with us and was very happy and welcoming. Also to note regarding the service every member of staff asked how we were today, even the staff member who brought us our food and drinks, and little things like that do make a place memorable and special. We ordered and the first negative was the price. For a sausage sandwich, cheese twist (which in fairness was huge! , Caramel mocha and a cup of tea the total cost was £17. The tea was £2.75 (for a cup, not a pot! And the mocha was £4.50! Thought that these prices were a bit extortionate but paid and tried to enjoy it nonetheless. When our food arrived it was presented in an okay manor, nothing spectacular, which was a shame because I expected something special for £6.50 for sausage sandwich... The food was okay, the bread was good quality and the sausages were very good but I still struggle to justify the prices! The atmosphere in the place to me felt like it was half full with people who were just victims of daylight robbery... I wonder why. If you're in the area and want a good quality yet small breakfast for a premium price this place is perfect for you. However I doubt I will return. I will reiterate though that the staff were brilliant. Parking: There is no car park attached and road parking, which is always very busy, or parking in a paid car park further up the road is your only option however this is no fault of the café."

"I absolutely adore this restaurant - I have yet to have a disappointing meal. The service is consistently fantastic. I haven't tried the Sunday lunch yet, but I plan to very soon. The price per person is around £20-30. I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all a perfect 5 out of 5."
"We had an excellent Sunday lunch at the Triton yesterday as part of a party celebrating my brothers 70th birthday. My wife is in a wheel chair, and the disabled access to the main bar restaurant at the Triton is excellent. Yesterdays meal however was in a function room at the front of the building which is accessed by a corridor including two steps. Initially this looked as if it may be a problem but the staff came up with the idea of opening the front door so we could go round and enter the building that way thus avoiding the steps. The table settings were quickly changed to facilitate my wife's wheelchair and nothing was too much hassle for the staff. The food at the Triton Inn and the staff are excellent. Highly recommended"

"What a gem of a place, waterfront position with a great informal atmosphere. Extremely hardworking staff who were welcoming, friendly attentive. The food was exceptional: fresh locally sourced ingredients; superbly presented, with a menu for a range of tastes and pockets. The fact that it was so full, on both occasions we visited, speaks for itself. Obviously a firm favourite with both locals and visitors deservedly so. This place punches well above its weight!"

"Spotless restaurant. Attentive service. Comfortable seating. Food is of a high standard. Mixed grilled octopus and kalamari main was superbly tender. Some may say pricey, but you get what you pay for here I believe, and you can't say that about all restaurants. It was a Sunday lunchtime, and I would like to have had some slightly more prominent Greek music and bouzouki playing in the background. All very good, and will return. Food: 5"

"We only discovered this fantastic restaurant thanks to a tradesman at the holiday complex we were staying at. Located on a side street in the village of Tideford, it is not well signposted. But now that the word is spreading, make sure you visit and sample the freshest and most delicious seafood you can imagine. Upon arrival, my wife and I were warmly welcomed and shown to our table. The friendly bar staff quickly took our drink orders. The menu, offering seafood, meats, and vegetarian options, may not be extensive, but the quality of the dishes is superb based on our experience. Following a recommendation from another guest, I tried the seafood gumbo. This smoky, soup-like dish was packed with king prawns, crab, lobster, and haddock, accompanied by a slice of rustic bread. My wife ordered the haddock and chips, which she found to be the best fish she had ever tasted. For seafood enthusiasts, a visit to Tideford to discover this charming and welcoming pub is a must. You will not be disappointed by this hidden gem of a place with its old-world charm."

"Went here on Thursday 12th October. We have always loved going here but unfortunately we were disappointed with our visit this time. The prices had risen quite a lot since our last visit. We had regular Haddock and chips but felt it was rather bland, not as tasty as usual. The chips were well cooked, not greasy, but there were a lot of very thin bits. Definitely not up to the usual standard that we are used to here. We added bread and mushy peas but were given a bread bun , not the usual slices of bread. For the price paid, over £40 in total, we expected better. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £20–30 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4"
