"Quick, diligent service. Vegetable and potato salad was great, not too filling but enough to whet the appetite. Made space for the duck confit, which was crispy and juicy with a superb gravy and relish to boot. Finished things off with a traditional bubble fruit cake, which was also incredible. Not to mention the cocktails, which were delicious and quite strong, even on the happy hour! Top marks across the board everyone, will absolutely come again. Ďakujem veľmi pekne!"

"John your pub used to be fantastic , the bar appears still to be but the restaurant supervisor was just rude and unwelcoming with two young children she refused a table for a high chair expecting a two year old to sit at the back right high table, we was told the low tables where reserved for wheelchair users (all three of them) we explained we booked a high chair and was told very abruptly that no the system booked the table and can’t be changed , having moved tables before that’s nonsense and then told to wait until another table waited 15 minutes two two hungry young children and not called , again went in was rudely spoken too and heard the supervisor say to a table leaving ‘don’t rush’ , no second drinks order like the tables around us no dessert requests , no asking how the meal was like the table around us You went to a great school in Manchester from memory and have great manners not sure what happened to your supervisor today Rooms: 1 Service: 1 Location: 1"

"It's been a while since we last visited this restaurant, as we usually make last-minute plans. Trust me, if you're like us, make sure to book well in advance because it's always busy. We ordered the Sea Bass and Sunday Roast, which were beautifully presented and delicious. The service was excellent, and we can't wait to book a table again soon. Service was for dine-in and the meal type was lunch."

"We visited the White Hart a couple of years ago and found it to be quite average. However, on our recent visit, we were pleasantly surprised to discover that it is far from average - it is actually very good. As soon as we walked in, we could tell that there was a completely different atmosphere compared to our last visit, with a lively buzz in the dining room. Our party of four each ordered a different main course and no one had any complaints. I opted for the special, which was quiche served with chips and salad, and was very satisfied. My friend enjoyed the liver and bacon dish, commenting on both the flavor and presentation. The steak pie was also a hit with our group. We are looking forward to returning to the White Hart in the future."

"Traveling in the area and we had been told to check this place out... Best travel advice we've had! Warm, welcoming and friendly, you just feel relaxed and at home as soon as you step foot in the place... Then they bring out the food. And you see the prices, and you experience the service and atmosphere. And you book in again as soon as you possibly can. We ate the week before at the Hilton in Harrogate... It cost about 10 times the price and was about half as good. Hats off guys... Your place rocks and your food is just delicious. See you Sunday!"

"Popped in for a drink recently. I counted 8 members of staff wandering around, whilst I waited by myself at the bar for 10 minutes. When I was eventually served the attitude was surly and unfriendly. This is a typical example of a brewery owned pub in a beautiful location, who just don't bother trying very hard. Next time I'll go to the Cove Pub instead. Service: 2 Location: 5"

"Having read the bad reviews I was a little sceptical but was feeling a bit hungry after my sea voyage from Torquay! Started with a mixed large bowl of cockles and welks which is my usual fancy! They were completely tasteless and I thought the reviews may have been correct? However having ordered a fresh crab sandwich on brown I was blown away by the freshness of the bread and the taste of the fresh crabmeat this lady knows how to make a crab sandwich! So much so that I told her how good it was and so much better than the one I had endured on Torquay harbour! Almost worth paying the £9 on the ferry to get one! Thank you lovely lady!"

"This is the perfect spot for a refreshing pint and a great atmosphere (though there's no Wi-Fi or phone reception). The staff is exceptional and very friendly, and the location is simply beautiful. If you, like me, enjoy observing birds and the animal world, sitting outside to watch the woodpeckers, swallows, and martins at dawn is a treat. You can also wait for the little critters to come out before they scurry back into their burrows, all while enjoying a quirky ambiance."

"have been for a few clicks and gather them away recently. the prices are still reasonable, but the quality of food, although good, is a bit short of the standard backside when they won national prices. the chips could be more careful with something. between brushed and fryed (removal of eyes and rest shell) and the dough can be understated at a occasion and soggy the side, still a beautiful meal. the real problem that must be addressed is the fact that the customers are still kept outside to order and wait for their food that is in the dry but no fish and chips for me when it rains this is the reason why this is not a 2 star evaluation. We should live with covid now, not run away. Despite this approach, no employees wear ppe, and there are no signs for regular hand cleaning that makes cross-contamination possible. added that the restaurant is not packed with any proof of social need, this is surely just an attempt to see something to do. it is certainly confusing. my advice is to click and collect, as eating is ready for the right time and is always beautiful and hot. if the problems with the problem of streuung and access were not present, this would have got 4 stars if the chips had been up to the old standard, it would have been 5. Finally, the workers are amazing and do a great work in view of the additional and my view after unnecessary additional pressure, they are expected to be under"

"Lovely, quaint and quirky cafe in the middle of the high street!! Went in to Poppins and chose it over the two cafes we passed because of the booth seating (which was very comfortable! Ordered two BLT baguettes and a couple of drinks, reasonably priced and very tasty!! Service was great, staff were very attentive! Will definitely come in again when we are down this way next as we are only on holiday for the weekend. Meal type: Lunch"

"Usually have really good fish and chips here, but.... Closing time stated as 2.30. Arrived about 2.05pm, and was turned away as chef was 'closing '!! Hmm why say you shut at 2.30 when it 's really more like 2.07?! So we went to the other one Fish Dish, open all day, and very good! Turning people away because you 're closing earlier than stated, is unwelcoming and unprofessional! There are othet cafe/restaurants in Felixstowe!"

"We visited this restaurant twice and had a fantastic experience both times. The food was excellent, delicious, and high-quality, the atmosphere was great, and the staff was welcoming. We highly recommend this place. Our children loved the kids' meals, which were generous portions. Our daughter finished all her food both times we were here and even praised it (she is 5 but has good taste). I had the Philly cheeseburger today and it was the best burger I have ever had, I couldn't fault it at all! For dessert, we tried the millionaire caramel shortbread cheesecake and we all agreed it was one of the best desserts we've ever had. Big shoutout to the staff at the village inn, you do an amazing job!"

"We had lunch one weekday in early October. Summerhills garden centre has a very nice Christmas display, so the on site restaurant was busy. The food is very average All day breakfast is OK, it's cheap sausages, bacon etc combined to produce a just about...acceptable meal. On site there is a Gibsons Meat shop, selling what muct be amongst the best meat in Essex it's just a shame the restaurant doesn't buy from them . The chicken/bacon mayo sandwich was the same, low quality chicken with small amounts of chicken/bacon and vast amount of cheap mayo. Most of the staff wore masks, but with no social distancing between themselves taking place. serious was the fact that the one man (who by his actions appeared to be the manager), didn't wear a mask, and was serving customers/handling food exactly as he would have done in the past. Now, he may have a clinical reason not to wear a mask, or he may have decided he isn't covered by the legislation I simply don't know. Either way around we are not going to go back to the restaurant when this is their apprach to Covid"

"As a vegetarian, this may not be the best place to visit. The three other people I was with ate fish, so they were content. I have tried the vegetarian options twice and found them to be subpar. My salad was plain, unappetizing, and served on a small plate. The carpet was dirty and stained, with leftover food debris. The Eton Mess dessert did not seem to follow the correct recipe. However, the best part of the visit was the efficient and entertaining service from a young man. Overall, the vegetarian options were disappointing, but the service was good. The atmosphere was average. The price per person for dinner was £20-30. Food received a rating of 1, service a 4, and atmosphere a 3."

"My previous review was 5 star, Im changing it to one star because after my visit yesterday Friday 13 Oct, I am very disappointed, I orderd a special as usual but I dont know where the fish went, but it was not in the batter, I paid 7 quid for a big scrap with a dash of fish here there, soz but that just dont cut it for me, I would have gone back to complain but had already set off to our next job. My reply to your reply, If I make the effort to visit your shop you should make the effort to be consistent, I do not expect to pay good money for substandard goods, you may consider my review unfair but your service was unfair, thats why I changed my review from 5 to 1."

"This family-run restaurant always goes above and beyond to cater to our needs. The food is delicious and it's always a pleasant place to eat. It's exactly what you would expect from a Fish and Chips restaurant. Despite being located on the 1st floor, they have a lift specifically for wheelchair users and their carers, making it accessible for all. We highly recommend trying the Lightly Battered Fish, Mushy Peas, and Chips. The service, atmosphere, and food all receive a perfect 5-star rating. The average price per person is between £40-50 for lunch."

"I thought the food was not up to restaurant quality. The prawns weren’t deveined. With the Calamari, the squid rings were lacking. Underneath the breading, the squid rings were only a few millimetres in diameter. So basically breading for around £8. Service wise, I felt we were an inconvenience, for example; service was short of brusk, we were given table for our group with a chair at both ends and no mention of specials until a fellow diner spotted a blackboard across the room which was after we’d ordered."
