Couple of local ales and we were truly satisfied. landlord was entertaining as were the locals .. we had a lovely spontaneous evening with some lovely people... Just how life should be Cheers!!! The food was impeccable, and it's a fantastic pub. The young server was wonderfully polite. As for walkability, it's a lovely stroll from Freshwater to Tennyson's Monument and then down to The Highdown.

We were a group of 14, and the staff did a wonderful job accommodating us. I ordered the veggie curry, which was delicious and hearty after a long day of hiking (£16.95). The cocktails were reasonably priced as well, with a G&T made with local Mermaid Gin costing £6.60. I would definitely recommend this place if you're in the area!
