"For the love of god, if you like food, don't eat here. I never leave bad reviews, but this place pushed me over the edge. We went on a Monday for the £25 4 course special set menu. The server asked if we wanted it all at once. I said no, we are sharing the courses but want it course by course. It came all at once: the samphire and wakame salad which was just wakame and the only really good dish; the cauliflower poppers which were perfect, except the sickly sweet maybe barbecue sauce maybe ketsup; the dry chicken with lovely mushroom leeks covered by a wasabi peppercorn cream sauce so revolting we literally scraped it off despit our love of wasabi; and the pork belly which would have been delish if not burned. What didn't come was the rice or first course mushroom salad which were delivered after asking only three times. And the mushroom salad was some conction of baby greens and dried mushrooms with a tahini dressing that we could only describe as gross. The entire meal was accompanied by easy listening versions of 70s to 90s hits best belong in a bank elevator and indifferent wait staff. Desperate to leave, and not fond of sweets, I declined the dessert course only to have the (more senior? waiter (who noticed my desperation? pressure me into eating. Nope. I think this might be the first one star I've given... I try to only review what I love but was so amazed by how very terrible the food and service was here I wanted to let others know: not worth your time or money."

"Fine food and Issues Decided to visit as the reviews were mainly great. Arrived to find it looked ten minutes after due to be open. They were just opening the door. I went in and quickly used the toilet, not flushed by last person that used it! It's a well laid out, well decorated restaurant. I chose the Escargots as my starter, well cooked with a very small amount of sauce sadly no tongs to hold the shell. They were 6 very nice molluscs. The main was an absolutely sensational tasty seafood salad. Interesting dressing on a generous variety of sea food and nice salad. I had ordered a lime and soda, it transpired they had no lime so someone went out to buy some and could only get lemon, which was ok. When it came to the desert I liked the idea of four of them but ordered the lemon tart. A few minutes later the lady running front of house (I later discovered it was her first day in post!! Returned hugely apologetic telling me sadly they had no lemon tart. I chose the cherry clafouti and a few minutes later the young lady came back devastated to tell me they had none of that either! I eventually had a brownie, which she didn't charge me for. Must confess it didn't excite and the supplied ice cream was quite crystallised as if it had been refrozen. The table next to me were told they had no more Escargot, so clearly they opened with only one portion available. Front of house was good, 2/3 of the food I had was great but clearly someone needs to sort out the kitchen too many problems to give customers confidence of availability. Was it worth the trip? Oh yes but they have some serious organisational issues to resolve."

"Very good. this renovated and updated gastro pub has a beautiful, high-end feeling, without too posh. the personal is pleasant, real and well maintained. good drink selection! music selection didn't seem fit, but not extraordinarily. eating is exceptional, but, based on some personal preferences, there were slightly smaller disappointments with each dish. all were presented beautifully! the scallop starter was perfectly cooked, but there was an unexpected sticky texture on the sea red side. the chilis needed something sweet to balance them, but it was a nice warm pop. the acid from the grapefruit mixed with the petersilie mayonnaise drizzle, but both were delicious. some either flash-frozen or dry germinated greens gave beautiful texture, and the dish as a whole was beautiful. the duck ice starter was rich without being hard. slowly boiled (inspiring sous vide,) the egg was perfect. it was on a bed of slowly baked cheekwange, which is longing! some picking mushrooms have also added beautiful acid contrast. the brioche disc on which everything sat was not my favorite, but again can be personal preference. it seemed too thick, dense and sweet for the court. either would have been a nice sourded or an airy crawling cut my choice. again a very tasty dish. the healbutt main was absolutely wonderful! in butter lubricated, with fennel, white asparagus, a butter sauce with raw and squid-ink pasta. all with dill fronds. only small critique was the toughness of the tips of the braided fennel without knife, which is suitable for cutting through. a unique and very pleasant experience! it was great."
