I wanted to share my experience at your establishment, The Allegory, located at 1a Principal Place, Worship Street, London, EC2A 2FA. Unfortunately, my partner and I found our meals to be quite disappointing. My partner's chicken skewers arrived lukewarm and seemed stale, as though they had been sitting out for a while or were reheated. I ordered the vegan taco as a starter, but it was unbearably spicy, making it difficult for me to enjoy the meal afterwards. I question whether it should have been that spicy. For my main course, I chose the vegan curry, which was also lukewarm and unappetizing. I managed to take a few bites but felt embarrassed to leave most of it uneaten, so I requested to take it with me. However, when I exited the restaurant, I was still hungry. Given the total of £42.75, I felt the price was quite steep for a meal that we did not enjoy. I have heard wonderful things about your restaurant and wonder if our experience was just an off day. We were genuinely disappointed in our culinary experience and I felt it was important to provide this feedback. Additionally, I would like to inquire if there might be a possibility of a reimbursement. "Been twice now since they introduced their separate vegan menu and both times were so tasty! Tried the Mac and cheese and the BBQ pulled jackfruit fajitas! They have a sorbet as dessert currently but the staff said they are working on introducing other dessert options! Also really like that the vegan menu is a veganised version of their main menu they've put so much effort in"

"I recently visited Frankie and bennys at the rock with my boyfriend. We couldn’t order on the app as it wasn’t working so the waitress was straight over and took our order. The starters come out pretty much straight away and were delicious! Garlic pizza...was worth it, however I got the Mac and cheese bites, and for the price of it you only get which I was slightly disappointed in. The mains took quite awhile to come out, but it was quite busy with the lunchtime rush, so didn’t mind waiting. I ordered the chicken Parma hero sub and it was honestly amazing!! recommend! Although don’t get a starter as it’s so big I couldn’t finish it, which I was upset about because it was so good! My boyfriend got the classic cheese burger, however it was very over cooked and didn’t taste very nice, looked like cheap quality meat. He hardly touched his meal which was a shame. Overall I was happy with the service and the meal, however don’t order the burger as you will be disappointed!"

"I used to eat here a lot but the food has dropped in standard the double bacon cheese burger had salad which consisted of only lettuce and very little of that the mayonnaise looked like it had been scraped on with a butter knife to give you the least amount possible the burgers were pretty low quality and the bacon was overcooked it look nothing like the picture on the menu. My wife had the pasta which although she ate it all made her feel queasy for the rest of the night so Unless things improve drastically I won’t be eating there ever again it’s a shame because it used to be such a great place and the staff are really nice"

"Racist Portuguese guy said he is from Madeira named Emmanuel DID not even acknowledge my existence or say hello and started to talking ONLY to my girl and kept going at it as if am not there. she looked surprised why is he not saying hello to me. Worst place I have ever been to. (obviously had to put him in his place) No care at all of their social surroundings. Rude unprofessional staff (Portuguese guy)."

"had a nice late lunch, early dinner at frankie benny in gunwharf quays. harrison took care of us. very friendly and gave us additional time if I could not decide what to order. the best part was that he didn't come by and looked after us when we had full the month. that always brings me. I hope he waited and appreciated it perfectly. I liked that. was great eating. very tasty and filling. mac and cheese burger with Cajun cheeseries. my new fav! Five stars."

"my first visit to francie and benny. on the other night we were here to dinner, but we are sitting right away. the place was clean and the music choice was nice; inoffensiw and with perfect volume. the waitress was friendly, served us quickly and gave us options for the starter and the main coming together, which was eating within 10 minutes! the bbq burger was super tasty, pommes could have been a little craspier, but were nice enough. it was a cheap food and filled enough I back."

"We took our granddaughter to the movies over the weekend and decided to treat ourselves to dinner as well. This restaurant is conveniently located just 100 meters from the cinema with plenty of parking available in the evening at The Crumbles. We hadn't dined here in a few years, but decided to give it a try on a Saturday evening. We made a reservation for a table after the movie and were warmly greeted upon our return. Despite being busy, we were seated promptly and presented with the menu. Our drinks took a little while to arrive, but we were not forgotten, as the staff was attentive and friendly. Our granddaughter enjoyed her child's meal, especially the free squishy toy that came with it. Our burgers were delicious and well-prepared, served with fresh fries and high-quality burger sauce on brioche rolls. The restaurant was clean and well-furnished, with friendly staff who checked on us multiple times during our meal. The toilets were also very clean and accessible. With ample parking and easy access for disabled patrons, this restaurant is a great choice for those visiting the cinema, harbour, or nearby shops. We would definitely dine here again."

"It was my Granddaughter's birthday on the 11th and 6 of us were going for dinner, 3 Adults and 3 children. Our server was Ellen and she just couldn't do enough for us and very helpful with the girls choice of menu, nothing was a bother for her with 3 very excited girls. They even made my Granddaughters birthday for her when they brought her cake out and played Happy Birthday for her. "I called twice after booking through the open table and every time they said I had no booking. it was for my daughter's birthday and even on the day when we told the manager we had not booked and then we said we had a book for 5 o'clock. my notification from my app proved it was for lunch. they have taken care of us, but really bad attitude. the waiter was great and eating was good."

"I don't often go to eat, but I love frankie bennys. at the various locations I can go and it is always a tasty bite. eating is nice and my two children ate for free. they have great cocktails and the service is friendly and fast. I would like to distinguish at least a few workers petronella and sam who made our visit even more pleasant. if they don't have to pre-book they might have to wait for the table, so better to make calls in advance. I have no complaints and my family loves it."

"I made a reservation for a table for 8 people at 6:15 through OpenTable, but when I arrived, they had not received my booking, which was not my error but an OpenTable mistake. We had to wait until 6:45 for the next available table, which was only designed for 6 people. After I asked about our order, we were finally served our food at 7:30. By then, my hungry and hyper 3-year-old son was running around the restaurant. The 7 burgers, buns, and onion rings we ordered were cold and tasteless, with soggy bases, but the fries were very hot. We also had to wait again for the children's desserts, which was ice cream. We had to ask for our bill and ended up leaving disappointed with a group of bored children who had been sitting at a small table for too long and given poor quality food. Spending £105 for the worst evening out in a long time is not something I would recommend or repeat."
