"Dear [Restaurant Manager's Name], I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to share my experience at your establishment, The Allegory, located at 1a Principal Place, Worship Street, London, EC2A 2FA. Unfortunately, my partner and I found our meals to be quite disappointing. My partner's chicken skewers arrived lukewarm and seemed stale, as though they had been sitting out for a while or were reheated. I ordered the vegan taco as a starter, but it was unbearably spicy, making it difficult for me to enjoy the meal afterwards. I question whether it should have been that spicy. For my main course, I chose the vegan curry, which was also lukewarm and unappetizing. I managed to take a few bites but felt embarrassed to leave most of it uneaten, so I requested to take it with me. However, when I exited the restaurant, I was still hungry. Given the total of £42.75, I felt the price was quite steep for a meal that we did not enjoy. I have heard wonderful things about your restaurant and wonder if our experience was just an off day. We were genuinely disappointed in our culinary experience and I felt it was important to provide this feedback. Additionally, I would like to inquire if there might be a possibility of a reimbursement. I attempted to fill out the feedback form on your website, but encountered an error stating, "failed to send your message." Thank you for your attention to this matter. Best regards, Carmel Farquhar Phone: 07817 620 414"

Shouldn't have had the **** Mary (although it did wake me up), but everything else was great.

great meal, friendly service, beautiful venue. something clumsy service, but otherwise error-free.

The service was fantastic, but unfortunately, the food was very dry and lacking in flavor, particularly the ribs and sausage rolls. The atmosphere was enjoyable, and the service was truly excellent.

I was visiting London from the U.S. and my group has SUCH a fun time grabbing dinner at The Allegory. Can't beat the atmosphere and they play awesome music solid food, solid drinks, solid everything. Go!

The Allegory has a lively lunch vibe with a menu to suit all tastes, disciplines and allergies. The service is attentive and the wine list is solid. Plenty of choice. It is a good choice for a business lunch or a co-worker lunch.

Food was below expectations like the fish finger sandwich not having much fish in it at all. They also tried to mix and match ingedients which did not work. Restaurent was half full and staff seem all over the place lacking focus.

Surprisingly very quiet for a Saturday evening.. apparently the place is busier Thursday and Friday when there are office types in the area working....only a couple of other tables filled with people.. so the atmosphere wasn’t really there.. lighting at the table while eating became a little too dark.

I visited the restaurant for lunch with a group of three. It wasn't busy, but sadly, the service was quite slow, and we had to track down someone to take our drink orders. Overall, the food quality was good; we shared a variety of starters. However, the bar tacos we ordered were very dry and inedible. Fortunately, they removed the charge for them from the bill, which was a nice gesture.

We came here for my 40th birthday on the Saturday. We were given one of the large booths which was perfect for the size of my party. The staff were great, being attentive but allowing us to enjoy every course and round of drinks. The food and cocktails were excellent and the band were really good too. We were lucky to arrive before the rush so had an exceptional personalised experience in that sense. Would still come back during a busier time due to the service and experience we had. The decor and vibe and even the cost is perfect for special occasions like this. Would happily recommend.
