"My wife and I had booked a Chinese meal on the 28th September and were looking for somewhere to have some drinks prior to the meal and my wife spotted the Mercat opposite the Chinese which was absolutely perfect for us. We ordered a Cider and a Peroni and the barmaid Stacey told us to find a table and she would bring the drinks over to us. Whilst enjoying our drinks we kept seeing lovely meals being taken to vsrious tables and they all looked exceptional, very well presented and you could clearly see that everyone was really enjoying them and the lovely background music being played. We both agreed that we would return on the followimg evening and try the food as it really looked too good to miss and we were certainly not disappointed. After a couple of drinks each we both decided to go for the fish and chips and we both agreed that it was the nicest fish and chips we had had for years, everything very fresh and so tasty. We enjoyed a lovely bottle of Sauvignon blanc with the meal and my wife chose the cheese platter with olives, girkin and biscuits and I chose the icecream for our sweets, absolutely perfect. Unfortunately the lovely Stacey was not working on the evening but we did have the lovely Scott, they are a super team, so efficient, friendly, courteous and obliging. Since returning home we have never stopped talking about this wonderful evening, we both loved Edinburgh and this restaurant really was the icing on the cake. We are already talking about returning to the City and returning to this beautiful restaurant, what a find! . Well done to you all and thankyou!"

"I visited this place at lunchtime with a friend who lives in Hull, so she recommended it. There was seating inside, as well as some outside on the street. It had a nice relaxed atmosphere, with piano music playing. We were told we could order by the app, which allows 10% off the bill. Or we could order at the bar. We decided it would be easier and quicker for us to order at the bar. But we were met by a very unwelcoming guy who told us that he didn’t have time to take our order, as he was far too busy. So our only option was the app! Not the best customer service, but anyway we ordered by the app which was fairly straight forward. The food was very nice and we had a lovely relaxing catch up. I would definitely recommend this place also visit again. Despite the stressed out moody barman, the rest of the staff were lovely the service was excellent."

"I 've always liked Greens in Ballyhackamore. But the simple fact is that the food and the service have gone downhill while the prices have gone drastically uphill. £84 for 2 medium pizzas (which are actually small), 2 large pizzas (which are not particularly big) and two side salads. Oh, sorry- plus corkage on a couple of bottles. Service was slow despite the restaurant being virtually empty and elements of the order were missed. To be fair to Greens, it is just jumping on the boat that local hospitality in Northern Ireland is currently manning and that is the the good ship Rob The Customer Blind and blame it on everything over the last few years. Sorry Greens, but I won 't be back in a hurry."

"The restaurant space was dark and gloomy we were the only diners in our largish area, there was no atmosphere and any ambience was lacking. It needs to be more informal and welcoming. It felt dowdy and corporate, not living up to its name of The Neighbourhood. The menu was interesting and the portions generous The starter of prawns were good. I had fish and chips The batter was stodgy and bready, the chips were overly large and unappetising. My partner had salmon broth and it was was a generous portion and very tasty. We had a delicious side salad. All in all the food was fine but something needs to be done with the decor and surroundings to make it more attractive. It is competing with some other very trendy places in the vibrant community of Bruntsfield"

"I had the best experience in Bloc Pop Up today, I arrived to get a take away pizza with my young daughters but the waitress found us a table outside and so we decided to stay as it was sunny and a great evening to eat outdoor. We ordered margaritas pizzas and a plain burger, the food was absolutely delicious! The waitress were so very friendly and we really felt welcome there. This doesn’t always happen when we go out for dinner as my daughters are very young and as every child they can be quite noisy and messy but the waitresses really made us feel good! "So I went to Hache in two minds, not sure if I wanted a burger meal for lunch and came away feeling satisfied with my choice at the end. I had looked up 'interesting places to eat at Camden Town ' on Google and Hache 's name had been within the top 10 and so my friend and I decided to try it out. Locating the street where Hache is, on a Saturday afternoon was easy enough, but finding a spot to park the car was not. We found a place, but it was a bit of a walk. The restaurant facade is non-assuming and they put out a small black board with the Hache name outside. There are a couple of interesting places around it which seem worth exploring too. Even for a bright spring afternoon, the place is quite dark inside. Finding our table took a second. The place is small and on busy evenings, I would expect a queue. The menu is the same as that on their website, except that the lamb burger is missing. I ordered the chicken and bacon havana club burger. My friend went for a steak mexican. The burgers do not come with fries and need to be separately ordered. We had the 'Hache Frites ' which is skinny fries. My burger was very good by itself. The avocados provided a very interesting texture in a traditional grilled chicken burger. I liked it. The fries were crispy. They do not provide any house mayonnaise or dips with the fries. These need to be separately ordered. Overall, I would say the place is worth a visit if you are in the Camden area, but not worth making a special plan just for it. I have had better burgers in London for the same price."
